Teach Well!

Affirmations:
I love to learn from everyone.
I learn what I nee to know and what I need to teach.
Learning and Teaching is helpful to create a better life for us all.
I easily listen, value and remember what I choose to have repeated
.

We Are Teachers!

How we live is our teaching.
Our children listen to our words.
Our children observe our behavior.
Our children feel our truth and integrity.

What you see they need to learn is what you need to teach.
We cannot teach, demonstrate or inspire what we do not know.
So first we must learn what our children need to know.
If you have not be taught, you will not know how to teach.

So where do we learn what is needed to be taught?
We can experiment and see what works well.
We can watch what others do that we admire and value.
We can see what we don’t like and intend not to copy those behaviors.

All of us are learning, copying, experimenting, rehearsing to play what we want.
Wise or ignorant, loving or fearful, happy or in pain, grateful or greedy, helpful or needy.
We all have choices to live, teach and say what we want to be and see.
Intend to live and give what you want to have.

Show up, pay attention and tell your highest truth and then let go and observe.
It will go the way your intention flows.
Follow up with your own thoughts, words and behavior.
See if you are living, loving and giving what you want to receive.

Often parents do not see what they have omitted or missed.
Those who have “already been there and done that” do not realize the value of teaching and learning.
When we love, we carefully teach those we love.
When we care, we want to share what we have learned.

To learn from our elders most easily depends on our respect for what we observe in our elders.
To eagerly want to listen and value from others requires that we are respected in our willingness.
To understand the huge differences between generations requires that we listen to one another.
Before being heard and understood, I must first listen and understand, watch and learn from others.

Consider what today’s youth must know to be safe, capable and successful.
Give what knowledge and wisdom  you have and refer what you don’t have.
Open to contribute what you would want to receive  or  benefit from receiving.
Below is a list of recommendations from an article in GreatSchools.org

Add what you believe is valuable and give what you can.
Look for support and encourage our teens to develop their own resources.
Everyone needs to be resourceful in taking good care of their own lives.
Let you life be a light for others.  A guide and source of inspiration.

B
lessings for us all to learn and teach the best we know.

Seek Good and See Goodness

Affirmations:
I seek only Goodness for us all.
I give my life to creating the Good we desire.
I honor us all in our choice for bringing our best for Goodness sake.
I see us all as desiring and deserving Good for ourselves and others.

Seek and Find Goodness.

What we seek, we find.
What we look for, we choose.
Where we place our attention will grow.
Life is creating what we think, speak and care about.

Let us care about what we value.
Let us use well our thoughts, words and deeds.
Let us listen and understand what is good for us.
Let us speak no evil, hear no evil, and see no evil.

Life is too precious to allow it to be polluted with negativity.
We begin to see how our focus and attention manifest more of the say.
We are here to bring the best of ourselves with what we choose everyday.
We must name and claim the good, the whole and the beautiful.

Mind your mind and see what messages you give yourself.
What you will, may be to negate what is wrong, but offers energy to it.
We can release the negativity with our intention and attention to what is good.
We can choose to honor the Good right here and right now.

We need not scare our children in order to keep them safe.
We need only give them tools of awareness to see clearly.
We need honor their freedom to choose what is for the highest Good.
We together can encourage, support and believe in the healing of all.

Perhaps in these times of unrest, polarization and intention to do harm, we must begin to heal within.
Do no harm to yourself: Not with bad thoughts, bad deeds or bad relationships.
Do no harm by holding grievances against one another and what has been done before.
Do no harm in your everyday living and give honesty, kindness and forgiveness.

We each hold a piece (peace) of the healing and creation process.
We all have a part to play in the grand undoing of what is not whole.
We individually can step forward to make life better for everyone.
We together can remind us all with our choices to speak for Good.

Is it not time for us to seek and find the good in everyone?
Is it not time to stop our addictions and convictions in what is bad?
Is it not time for you and I to choose in our own time and place to contribute Goodness?
Is it not your time and mine to show up carrying thoughts, words and actions of peace?

There is no one separate from me.
I am to heal each harmful thought.
I am to speak of forgiveness and love.
I am to do those things which benefit Goodness in all.

And so are you!
We together must learn to live together, to abolish harm and be respectful, helpful and kind to others.
We can wake up and make the change we want to see, right now in our own family.
We can and we will, because there is no other way to live.

Loving you with trust in your intention and freedom to do your best.

Two Key Questions

Affirmations:
I happily learn from everyone.
I teach the best I know with how I live.
I always do what brings clarity, healing and inspiration.
I receive guidance when I ask: What Am I to do or say or give?
Life Changing Questions

Everyone is teaching.
Everyone is learning.
We are all teachers and students.
We are in this learning adventure together

There are two questions you must ask to open your mind and change your life.
1) What Can I learn?
2) What Can I do?
When you are open to learn, you can do what is significant.

When having any encounter or experience, ask” What Can I Learn From This?
When we drop our know-it –all belief and become open to learn, we shall learn from it all.
When we are willing to let go of our assumptions and judgments, we discover the good.
When we are trusting there is more than we can see, we begin to listen deeper.

This is where is true and good and loving is found.
The riches are in the inner Gold, not in the “fools gold”.
What is false is easy to find in our pre judgments.
What is a rare treasure and the “pearl of great price” is intrinsic in all things.

Look beneath the surface reaction and listen to the voice within.
Look for the good and find the richness of every experience in life.
Listen to the sounds of the heart and the songs of love.
Listen to what is yours to do and give.

There is a voice in you that gives your great wisdom and insight.
There is a calling in you to always ask: What Can I Do?”
When we are open and willing we know how to respond.
We acknowledge that everything is teaching us something to do.

We are here to learn from everyone and everything.
As we learn, we heal and feel.
As we learn, we grow and know.
This is mine to do, to give and have!

For every encounter, there is something to learn.
In every situation, there is much to learn.
In every tragedy, there is more to learn.
In every adventure, there is always more to learn.

Life is a discovery process.
We are here to learn and practice what we learn in our doing.
We are called to teach what we are learning with our words and our deeds.
We have an important part to play as we learn and teach, do and share together.

Giving all the best I know to us all.
This is really learning, loving and living.
Love is the answer, whatever the question.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

Love All!

Affirmations:
Love is the true power.
Love is the way to find my authentic Self.
Love heals and brings wholeness to everyone.
Love is the way I live in gratitude.

Loving Everyone!

Learn what love does.
Learn how to release pre judgment.
Learn to open to others.
Learn to Love no matter what.

When we stop loving, we stop really living.
When we withhold our love from others, we are withholding love from ourselves.
Loving is like breathing.
When we hold our breath, we are stopping our life force.

See what love really does.
Loving is loving you.
Love gives love in equal measure to what is given.
Love opens the flow to receive increasing Love.

People seem to be afraid of love.
It seems folks fear being loved as well as loving others.
It feels like love creates a vulnerability, being open to others.
Being open is providing safety and acceptance.

Love is trusting.
Trusting in Love implies Love as being safe.
Yet some are afraid Love will hurt or fail.
And some fear losing themselves in their Loving.

When we trust in loving, we recognize how we create true safety.
When we feel safe, we do not attach or do harm.
Love bring peace and safety , happiness and gratitude to every mind.
Enjoy the feeling of inner peace when we trust in being a safe place.

Love is freeing.
When we feel safe, we experience a sense of freedom.
When we feel free, we are happy and at home with ourselves.
When we feel we are loved, we experience safety and peace of mind.

To Love everyone offers a field of peace and gratitude around you.
In loving others, you are giving you blessing of healing and safety.
In loving others, you are guiding others to a life of  Lasting Love.
In loving others, you are protecting yourself and securing your own Love.

When others are afraid, you give them safety in Love.
When others are distrustful, you offer them renewing Trust.
When others resist your love, you are allowing them whatever they need.
When others do not understand, you accept them and love them anyway.

Learn to let go and love everyone anyone.
Love is never a reward, but rather a right of simply being open to Love.
I am always Loving You.

Sportsmanship

Affirmations:
I am pleased when I give and live my best.
Life is about how we play the game.
I value the joy of playing more than winning.
I practice my true values from sporting and competitive games.

Are You A Good Sport?

Do you give others credit when credit is due?
Are you supportive of both sides when the play is fair?
Do you remember to give gratitude for good refereeing?
Are you appreciative for everyone who gives their best?

Sometimes in our competitive culture, we forget to value all who give their best.
Sometimes kids and adults are taught to win to show their worth.
Sometimes we forget to value the good plays and honest players.
At times we may teach our kids that winning is more important than playing our best.

Consider how you view sports and sportsmanship.
We are teaching others, especially our kids, what matters.
Remember to talk with respect, rather than negative talk.
Value good playing and not just the outcome.

Good sports in life are honest.
Good sports enjoy the play. Good sports respect the team.
Good sports are dependable, reliable, respect and appreciative.
Good sports practice and offer the best encouragement to others.

What kids learn from watching any competition is what they have learned to value..
What adults learn from how they respond to wins and losses is how to not give up on themselves.
What we all can learn from the way we participate is our enjoyment as well as the outcome.
We all can observe ourselves and others to see where our true values are in our life journey.

Ask yourself what really matters to you.
Make a note of how you are in playing the game of life.
Observe where you find joy and what you learn in participating and watching sporting events.
Metaphysically you can observe the learning potential in all things we watch and do.

Do you quit too soon?
Do you play fairly?
Do you value good play?
Do you appreciate others for doing well?
Is it all about winning?
Do you keep learning?
Are you able to enjoy whether you win or lose?
Can you see the value of plain good play?
Do you encourage those who do not perform as well?
Are you willing to stop “trash talking” and destructive behavior?
Do you take the time to celebrate all who perform at their best?

Consider how you can be a good sport, win, lose or draw
.
Be the best person you can be in all situations.
Notice how good it feels to play, perform and live at your best.
In every situation, think, speak and act with respect and gratitude.

Blessings for us supporting ourselves and others in living well,
Betty Lue

The only mistake we ever make is when we forget to Love.

Family

Affirmations:
I am here for and with all those who are called to be with me.
I learn and teach, give and receive, freely and openly with everyone who is willing.
I always align with the family of humanity for the highest Good of all.
I trust myself to listen within to honor what is mine to learn and do.

I am visiting family in Salt Lake City this weekend to check in and affirm my support.
I have family connections within my work, my community, my spiritual family and you.
I have written these emailed Loving Reminders daily for 19 years, as my support for you.
You are my family!

Who Is Your Family?

Family of Humanity?
Family of your Nationality?
Family of Birth?
Family of your Beliefs?

People seem to seek a place to belong.
People seek a place of safety and security.
People seek what shelters and guides them.
People see what gives them life and provides for them.

Where we have connection and approval, we may call “family”.
Where we feel nurtured and nourished may be our family.
When we have protection and provision, we may call them family.
Where we feel at home may be our family

We may reach out for what we want.
We may give up on what seems to be unavailable.
We may seek and heal the biological family we are born to.
We may even feel indebted to the family from which we have come.

As we mature and clarify our own values, we often create our own “family”.
This comes from those we feel akin to.
It fits for those we encounter in life and just seem to “know”.
Family is built within our frame of reference, both “inlaws and Outlaws , friends and colleagues.

Animals may adopt family from another species, when left alone to fend for themselves.
People also may find neighbors with whom they relate and feel support.
We also may join a group of coworkers or colleagues where there is much in common.
There are communities and religious groups when join together as family.

Ascertain your own values and beliefs
.
Live in integrity with what matters for you.
Be sincere in your own lifestyle and preferred communication.
Find trust and peace within your own realm of awareness.

This begins your quest for “true” family.
Seek first to be what you are.
Then share your true self with others.
This attracts those who resonate and relate.

Much of what is happening online these days is the search for family and community.
Everyone will use the modality that suits their needs and preferences
People are seeking for what is right and true for them.
The more genuine you are, the more you will attract those who are aligned.

Whether seeking friendship, support, connection or a place to belong, be authentic in your desire.
The Universe serves us when we are honest and true about our search.
We all have family when we are willing to reach out in peace and openness.

What Fits?

Affirmations:
I choose what works for win-win solutions,
What is best for me is best for you. And vice versa
What is not easy will always offer learning.
I enjoy and learn from all differences.

What Fits for You?

Friendship, parenting, marriage, colleagues and coworkers may not fit.
When we fit, we feel safe and compatible.
When we don’t fit, we may feel disharmony, discomfort, irritation, awkwardness and disagreements.
Personalities, attitudes and temperaments are different.

Differences challenge those who are seeking matching perceptions, energies and desires.
Some like contrast from which to learn, heal  and grow in tolerance, patience and trust.
Some prefer similarities which provide comfort and fun, safe and easy connection.
Whatever you notice is not working for you, you may want to criticize, fix and change.

As a therapist and relationship coach, I find people often argue to be right and get their way
.
I occasionally find people who want to listen, learn and understand to make relationships work.
When we prefer relating with harmony and happiness, we are seek to learn with open-mindedness.
Within disharmonious relationships, people can avoid, fight for change or learn to accept differences.

Parents often try to convince their children to agree on attitudes, values and behavior.
Spouses often try to change their partner to fit with their fantasy, preference and needs.
Employers seek their employees to function with their preferred work ethics and rules.
Friends set up expectations and even manipulate to get what they want from others.

There are a myriad of differences and preferences among all personalities.
Preferred solitary time or active social time?
Fast moving or slow paced?
Lots of talking or lots of silence?
Spontaneous activity or planned and scheduled time?
Need for love and affection or need for service, gifts or quality time together.?
Slow in response with need for contemplation or sharing emotionally without thought?
Loud and boisterous or quiet and subtle?

What we do with differences determines the quality within our relationships.
When we differ and try to change, there will be discord and stress.
When we enjoy and learn to negotiate the differences, there can be expanded acceptance and learning.
We may not benefit with those who are incompatible or cannot tolerate our differences.

Consider whether there will be benefit to you and the other in living with the differences.
Consider the level of support and encouragement there can be from extreme differences.
If what you relate to depletes your energy, perhaps it is better to remove your proximity.
If your relationship increases your energy, it may benefit and bless your and the other.

I love differences of thought, behavior and lifestyle and so I learn and grow.
When relating to someone who is upset or angered by differences, it is not beneficial to them.
It is important to support them in making the change they need for their benefit.
Give yourself and others to opportunity to let go and choose again for their own good.

Either party can always modify their behavior when together. Choose more time and space apart as needed. Everyone is free to do what they need to better learn, heal and grow to their best self.

Trusting us all in our conscious and considerate choices.

Feeling Well?

Affirmations:
I choose peace.
I choose Love and loving.
I am grateful for Who I Am and how I give.
My whole life is working for me.

Are You Feeling Well?

What is well for me may not be what is well for you.
Today I am a little “under the weather.”
Or maybe I am a little less well than I would like.
Or possibly, well enough to do what I am guided to do.

What is well for you is not well enough for me.
Or what is well for me may not be well for you.
Yes, it is all relative to what we believe, perceive and wish to be.
So we respond to our wellness individually according to our preference.

Now what about wellness?
What I experience is mine to accept, improve, deny or judge.
The world seems to set standards by which to judge, compare and diagnose.
We can observe our current state and use it all for our inspiration, edification and Good.

There is a conflict between the worldly standards of wellness and the spiritual acceptance with what is.
As I have experiences of wellness and lack thereof, I can see I try to have more and fix what is lacking.
In this there is lack of peace with what seems to be.
When I simply allow my life to be as it is, I find ease and simplicity, trust and freedom and healing love.

The usual reaction to any lack: lack of love, lack of energy, lack of joy, lack of gratitude, is to fix it.
Sometimes there is a need to analyze and diagnose, to judge and blame, to correct and make better.
Sometimes there is a desire to trust and rest, to allow natural healing, to wait until it passes.
Sometimes there is a search for outside helpers and curative agents, information and guidance to follow.

Our world has its focus on wellness and physical health, even while ignoring health in other areas.
Consider the state of our environment, finances, relationships, work life, spiritual fulfillment, etc.
When I am not feeling well, I look at what areas may need my attention and intention.
I seek where I have chosen thoughts which are about drama, judgment, comparison, past history, etc.

Let’s be aware of all that creates vitality and longevity.
Let us look at how we are living and with a sense of gratitude.
Let’s observe where we are going and what we see for our future.
All of our thinking and speaking and actions give us clues about our state of wellness.

So many factors are included in our experience of wellness.
We are sensitive to foods we eat, the energy of those who prepare our food and their thoughts.
We are influenced by the news we watch and the conversations we have.
Our being is connected with all the energies of everyone and everything.

Our state of wellness is really a symptom of where we live and how we love.
My wellness is based on my balance of all things in my inner and outer life.
I am part of the greater whole and therefore must respond to all with  positive intention.
I am hear to remember love and return to Wholeness.

With every “wakeup call” I choose to bring acceptance, trust in Good and the greatest Love I have.

I am loving us all with these Healthy Loving Reminders.
Betty Lue

Telling Your Truth

Affirmations:
I tell the highest truth I know.
I create a safe place for everyone to share what they believe is true.
I trust when everyone is free to see what is true, we all have more insight and wisdom.
Telling the truth sets us free to see things differently.

Telling Your Truth!

What is the “truth”?
Do you like to hear the truth?
Why does it feel like everyone has a different “truth”?
Do you ask others for their opinions, judgment, beliefs?

Sometimes when people tell the truth, they just dump whatever they think.
Sometimes people want to hurt or blame with their “truth”.
Some people think they know something we don’t know.

What is your truth?
You see from your perspective.
You see through your filters of belief, attitude and judgment.
You will probably believe that your truth is the only and real truth.

What you child says will be true from his perspective.
What your friend says will be through his filter of what is evident to him.
Your partner, therapist, teacher and coaches truth will come from what they see obvious and important.
So what is your truth?

The truth we tell usually has an intention.
What we say often is filtered by what will get agreement.
What we want the other to hear is usually our choice of emphasis.
What courts, judges and the law believe as “truth” is often what is considered as “facts’.

The reason for a judge, negotiator or mediator is because of the inconsistencies in “facts”.
We often have different pictures being presented depending on the desired outcome.
If we want to win, we blame the other and show our best.
If we want a positive perspective, we tell what is good and beneficial.
If we want to deny or negate, we present what will yield the desired result.

Consider what facts or truth different media outlet shares.
How different they are depending on supporting or undermining.

Consider the facts or truth different siblings share in an disagreement.
They each share what will get the most positive attention from the listening parent.

Consider what each marital partner shares as their truth.
They want to get their point across for agreement from the other in an argument.

Consider your own prejudice in what you believe is fair and just for you.
We all have an underlying prejudice or belief in the “right” outcome.

It is important to be honest with ourselves about what is the “truth” we actually want to be “true”.
Appreciating our values may differ, and we each have the right to choose what we believe to be our truth.

Healthy Relationships

Affirmations:
When I am healed, I am not healed alone.
My forgiveness sets me and others free to be healthy.
I choose to love, to bring happiness and inner peace.
Love invites miracles of loving kindness to all.

Healthy Relationship Bring Peace and Happiness

What is missing?
Where are you incomplete?
What grievances do you carry?
Can you bring peace to your relationships?

Where we hold fear, we are incomplete.
When we try to avoid, we have fear.
What we hide, we are not at comfortable with.
When we deny our love, we are withholding from ourselves.

What is there to do?
Love, simply Love.
Forgive the past and love again.
Judge no one for we fear our own judgment.

Peace in our relationships requires that we do not judge.
In truth we cannot judge because we do not know.
When we acknowledge that we do not really know, we can let go.
When we let go of our limiting attachments, we relinquish our grievances.

What hurts is our fear.
What blinds us is our condemnation.
What suffers is withholding our love.
What upsets us is not getting our way.

There is a time in life when we recognize, we do not understand.
There is a need within that we drop righteousness and let go.
There is a calling to trust in something greater than ourselves.
There is a place where we can find inner peace when we simply Love.

Healthy relationships are forgiving.
We are all learning for find a better way.
Mistakes are our effort to learn what works.
Everyone makes mistakes, large and small.

When we mature and trust enough, we forgive.
We encourage children and adults to continue learning.
We help others by healing our judgments and setting them free.
We heal ourselves by letting go of our condemnation and being free.

Love others as you want others to love you.
Forgive others as you wish others would forgive you.
Give your best to others to teach them how to give to you.
Everyone is learning to have and to hold love, respect and appreciation for one another.

Relationships are our challenge, our gift and opportunity to heal ourselves.
Blessed be,
Betty Lue
