Everything Changes

In this physical world everything is changing.
To expect things to stay the same is foolish.
To try to get things back the way they were is mistaken.
To believe we can keep things the same is crazy.

Bodies change.
Feelings change.
Relationships change.
Jobs change.
Institutions change.
Government changes.
Rules and laws change.
Ethics and etiquette changes.
Religions change.
The earth changes.
Climate changes.
Finances change.
Possibilities change.
Creativity changes.
Agreements change.
Personalities change.
Families change.
Children change.
Technology changes.
Diets and foods change.
Beliefs change.
Everything changes.

You are changing.
To cling to what was promotes stagnation and death.
To open to what is and what will be promotes growth and health.
What will it be for you and for me?

I encourage us all to step into the unknown where we cannot control what will be in the future.
I invite us each to welcome the changes and begin to use them all for Good and with Grace.
I ask everyone to begin with innocence and inner wisdom to embrace what will be happily.
We can all set ourselves and others free by relinquishing our need to control and be stuck.

Continue what you can continue.
Appreciate what is and be happy.
Enjoy what you have and feel trusting.
Love those you love no matter what happens.
Be free to explore possibilities and know you can choose.

Life is a kaleidoscope of color and shape, a myriad of possibilities emerge just by turning around.
Enjoy the beauty and the blessing of each one without needing to keep in place what used to be.
Loving you and me as we choose to be free.
Let it be.  Let it be.  It will be easier to simply let go.
Betty Lue

As my Mom used to say, “ The only constant is change.”
Let’ s go with the flow as we row our boat gently down the stream.
After all, it is what it is.

Hang On or Let Go?

That is the question.
Is it better to fight to keep what you want?
Is it wiser to let go with love and blessing?
When you Love someone very much, let them go.
If they are meant to be yours, they will return.

Whatever someone asks of you, do it……unless it does harm to them or to you.
Whatever a loved one needs, give it…… unless it causes pain and sacrifice.
Wherever you see the need, fill it……… unless it takes away from another.
If it comes into our awareness, we have attracted it to heal and learn and respond with loving kindness.

So many people suffer in their attachments.
So often we want others to do what we want.
We may think we own people and their behaviors.
We may believe we know what is best for others.

In reality, we are usually trying to avoid change.
In reality, we want to stay comfortable and stuck.
In reality, we cannot know the big picture.
In reality, we do not know the final outcome.

What if hanging on continues to cause everyone pain and strife.
What if staying stuck sets you up for depression, anger and despair.
What if needing to have it work our your way causes others pain.
What if your clinging to what was just brings everyone hurt and hardship.

Is it possible that letting go is really a gift of healing?
Is it possible that forgiving your neediness is giving your freedom?
Is it possible that releasing another is really giving them happiness?
Is it possible that your willingness to appreciate what was is enough?

We seem to think agreements and relationships need to stay the same forever.
We seem to believe that it is wrong to change our minds and our lives.
We seem to struggle with the concept that change is healthy and beneficial.
We seem to make up that once something is ours, we need to have it always.

Life is temporary.
Change is inevitable.
We need to forgive and choose again everyday.
To count on things lasting in this world is faulty belief.

When a relationship is working, both people are happy, healthy and fulfilled.
When a relationship is not working, one or both people need to make changes.
There is a needed change of place, person or thing.
Those who are stuck and fighting for homeostasis are usually left behind.

Letting go can be fun, safe and easy.
Changing our minds happens most easily when we release and let Go.
Letting go means letting Goodness happen naturally.
Everything always works more exquisitely than we can plan.
I release and let go.
I let Spirit run my life.
You can too,
Betty Lue
Honorable Closure

How do you complete a relationship, a marriage, a teaching-learning experience, a job, a friendship? How do you know you are really complete?
Often people walk away without really finishing the spiritual work, because it is easier emotionally.   People don’t know how to come to a truly peaceful place, where “good-bye” is really “God be with You.”
When we are complete, we are at peace and in love.
We have no regrets, no resentments, no unhappy memories.
Honorable closure acknowledges:
1)   the learning and growth received,
2)   challenges and difficulties experienced,
3)   appreciation of gifts and blessings,
4)   forgiveness and amends made.
Acknowledge within your self and with the other person all that you have learned and how you have grown and benefited from the experience.
Honor and express the challenges and difficulties that occurred and perhaps were endured during the time together.
Offer your gratitude and appreciation to the other for the benefits you received.
Share your forgiveness and/or make amends for those places of unconscious or conscious errors of omission or commission.  Often neither party is aware of what went unexpressed until the two have an opportunity to talk together.  This is very valuable when done with the conscious intention for a peaceful conclusion.
And lastly, give your full appreciation and blessings to those whom you are leaving.
Honorable closure always includes a face to face or heart to heart connection so that all parties have a full opportunity to express their piece of the whole. Incompletion is never one sided. If one party loses and is in grief neither person is at peace.
Do your part when you part.
When we complete a relationship, job, living situation with honor for all, we are free to choose again without being haunted by the past or unconsciously repeating the same patterns.

To move on, to create anew, to be fully inspired requires honorable closure.  Begin now.
Saying good-bye can be done with love, respect and profound gratitude and inner peace.

Keep It Simple

Why are we here?
We are here to heal. (to make whole and holy)
We are here to return to our natural state of wholeness.
We are here to remember we are created to be whole and holy.
We are here to heal tears and fears, resentment and guilt, anger and hate.
We are here to realize we can create the love and peace we want from within.

We are here to relate (to be in healing relationships.)
We are here to heal all our relationships, with everyone. ( not just the special ones, but everyone.)
We are here to return to peace, kindness, respect and appreciation for all.
We are here to undo whatever past history, judgment and pain we have allowed to poison us.
We are here to find the clues to release with forgiveness and return to our natural state of love.
We are here set aside our false pride and be the one who re-creates the blessings of Goodness.

How do we live and love and give?
We remember who we are.
We recognize the Love within.
We begin to forgive our selves for forgetting.
We simplify our task.
We begin to think and see differently.
We start where we can Love and appreciate easily.
We strengthen our willingness by valuing the blessings, the miracles of healing with love.
We enjoy the fruits of our spiritual labors and feel the changes grow within.
We touch lives with a smile, a touch, a word of gratitude, a joy shared, a kindness given and received.
We realize we are enough and teach others they are enough as well.
We stop comparison and criticism, evalutation and justication, resentment and guilt.
We wash away our mistakes and others as well, simply by remembering to Love.
We give ourselves the gift of peace when we erase everything that is not Here and Now.
We love each one who we encounter in the ways they are most willing to receive and trust.
We give ourselves the gift of happiness and freedom with no self judgment and no self  punishment.
We are kind to ourselves by always remembering to say YES to giving ourselves the Highest and Best.
We take time each day to say in everyway with everyone, “I give you my peace.”
We stop petty arguments and thoughtless words and obligatory deeds.
We offer respect, honesty and true service.

When we undo what is not true, we show up.
When we forgive our negative thinking, we pay attention.
When we erase the thoughts that have no place, we tell the Real truth. ( only Love.)
When we let go and allow only Goodness and Love to remains, we detach from the outcome.

You see, we are here to set everyone free to be.
For we really are Good and whole and beautiful.
Underneath all the fear, there is only Love.
So let us be and see the Truth..

Loving you and me and all,
Betty Lue

Healing Relationships

You are responsible for your own happiness and inner peace.
Where we are upset (angry, hurt, afraid, judgmental), our past wounds (unhealed stuff) has been triggered.   This shows us where we have work to do.
The usual relationship habit is to try to “fix” the other person, to get them to change or stop saying or doing what has upset us. This makes the other feel “wrong” and guilty and hurt and angry and inadequate. This only exaggerates the problem.
It is ineffective over the long term.
The real work is to heal our own woundedness, to clear our own buttons and heal our history and forgive allowing anything or anyone to hurt us.  When we have done our work, we can be truly effective, helpful and teach by example.
This is a big job.
It cannot be done overnight, but takes constant practice.
We must first take good care of ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Being conscious and taking impeccable care of ourselves is essential to quality relationships.
Begin now with learning to love, respect, trust and appreciate yourself.
The more you love, trust, respect and appreciate yourself,
the more others will love, trust, respect and appreciate you.
The more you love, respect, trust and appreciate yourself,
the more others will do the same for themselves and  for others.
You are the living example, the teacher, with everything you think, say and do.

The Path of Family

These are some notes for my Sunday talk at Unity.
You can listen to my talk at www.inspiredlivingcenter.org under Past Talks.

The Path of Family

Some follow the inspiring Path of service, some the Path of householder, some the Path of Self realization and path of Achievement  and so on.
To each their own.
When family is our path, we live it with devotion, with dedication to excellence, with commitment to the way of Love, Trust and Freedom.
Yes, each of us has our own path.
Whether building families, community, teams, institutions, or our own self actualization, we each have a way we are called to follow.

What is your way?
The way of family is the way of relationships.
The way of family is building the highest ideals within all our relationships through healing and service.
The way of family is choosing to heal our relationships with humanity through our family relationships.

How do You lead?
Are you authoritative?
Leading demanding, controlling and choosing for others.
Are you permissive or laissez faire?
Allowing and freeing everyone to grow in their own way without interference.
Are you democratic?
Listening, discussing, honoring the individuals’ rights if not interfering with others.

When we are committed to family, we need a vision, an ideal, a picture.
When honoring the path of the family, we need a strategy, principles and a plan.
When building successful family relationship, we need some guidelines to follow.
When choosing to create successful relationships, we must do what is highly effective.

We need role models of what works and what doesn’t work.
We must understand differences in communication styles, decision-making skills, conflict resolution, space considerations and privacy needs,  lifestyle preferences, ways to apologize and make amends, ways to show love and ways we express fears.
All the differences show up in intimate or familial relationships.
What is dysfunctional or unhealthy shows up as well as what is functional, useful and healing.

How do you handle differences?
How tolerant are you of age and education differences, weight differences, beauty differences?
How do you deal with values and behavioral differences?
How do you feel about people who interrogate and ask endless questions or talk all the time, and those who are silent, observant and even withdrawn.
How do you deal with those who blame, criticize, demand  and threaten,
How about whiners and complainers?
How about picky eaters and those who eat everything?
How do you handle sexual differences, religious differences, those who are prejudiced and bigoted?

Often we pretend to walk in love, but stay away from those we judge, hate or fear.
Often we say we are accepting and love all our brothers, but avoid those who smell bad or sound crude or are drunk or sick.
Often we judge those who bully and abuse others with words, finances, or physical acts of violence.

But where do we begin and end this path of family?
Can we really accept everyone as a child of God, as part of our human family?
Can we see the Good within and bring it forth?
Can we trust our brothers who are One with us?
Can we be like Jesus and walk and eat with those who are lepers, and tax collectors and rabbis and prostitutes and criminals?
Can we live as the Buddha allowing all suffering to be our suffering?
Can we learn to live with non violent thoughts, words and behavior as Ghandi?
Can we have compassion for everyone as we join the family of humanity?

What shaped my tolerance, acceptance, compassion and understanding of difference?
I remember the Dickerson family and our family reunions.
I remember the Life magazine and the photographs of the Family of Man.
I remember my American Field Service brothers and sisters from Guatemala, Brazil, Germany, Sweden and Indonesia and all those others who can later to stay with my parents.
I remember that my parents stayed in the home of people in their travels to 85 countries while in their retirement years.

My parents’ calling was to build community, to promote peace through understanding.
Their path was the path of family.
Whether working in mental hospitals or with children, in emergency rooms or with those starting to build small business, those who were illiterate or needing financial counseling, my folks always served to build healing and helpful relationships. Everywhere with everyone.

I felt like I was part of their team, like we were doing it together and so as a Girl Scout for 20 years or as a volunteer from the time I was an infant, I had diverse experiences which helped me realize my calling to inspire everyone to be their best and to help themselves.

Our work  through Reunion Ministries or Unity, or as grandparents, continues to be living in integrity with the highest ideals of reminding all children to be able to respond with love and respect the needs of others, beginning within our families.

Building relationships requires:
Teaching by example.
Staying conscious of what the real and most effect call for help and healing.
Honoring the unique needs of each individual.
Respecting everyone for being who they are.
Being totally responsible for all my thoughts, words and activities,
Joining, harmonizing and cooperating with what is the highest ideal for each one.

You are making a difference in the family of humanity when you choose to forgive all our errors, sins and mistakes of omission or commission.

You are making a difference when you choose again for the path of Love, Trust and Freedom for all.
Bless us all everyone as the One sharing Goodness for All.

What Is A Problem?

A problem is whenever you find yourself in a situation where you are not happy with the outcome.
A problem is when there is a conflict in what you want to do and what you choose to do.
A problem is when you are not making choices that are for your highest good and best interest.
A problem is when you are confused about what is in the best interest of yourself and others.

We have a problem when others treat us without respect and consideration.
We have a problem when we treat others without respect and consideration.
We have a problem when we continue to do what we know is not right or good.
We have a problem when we are too tired, too lazy, too sick or too distracted to do what is best.
We have a problem when we are stuck in what is habitual, comfortable and not helpful or growthful.
We have a problem when we have an unwillingness to change, grow or choose a better way to live.
We have a problem when we are unable or unwilling to forgive, heal and remedy past mistakes.
We have a problem when we are lost in our own self love or self loathing and cannot love others.
We have a problem when we are frightened to be in the world in which we live and work.

A problem is when your are unwilling to address or confront your challenges.
It can be growthful to have problems and challenges.
It is not helpful to deny, ignore or wish they will go away.
It is helpful to ask for worldly help and spiritual help from those who know and live what they know.

When Do You Need Help?

You need help, when you no longer know what to do to resolve a conflict or solve a problem.
You need help when you feel anxious, depressed, or exhausted by a problem.
You need help when you want a solution, but have run out of options.
You need help when you are confused, frustrated and impatient to clear the problem.
You need help when you feel a need for new ideas and creative solutions.
You need help when you cannot do it alone, from a solitary perspective.
You need help when you are caught in guilt and/or blame.
You need help when you are lost in your own mental tape loop and cannot find completion.
You need help when you are not eating, sleeping or relating well due to the problem.
You need help when you are using substances to quiet your thoughts and calm your feelings.
You need help when you are taking our your frustrations on your loved ones.
You need help when you are harming or imagining harming yourself or others.
You need help when you are acting out like an child with inappropriate anger, violence, crazy behaviors.
You need help when you cannot deal with the problems and they escalate.
You need help when you cannot relate with respect and civility.
You need help when you think you might need help.

We have a problem, when we are too independent, fearful or arrogant to ask for help when we have need.
We have the help we need, when we ask those who know and trust their knowing and make new choices.
This is our gift of love and peace to ourselves.
Recognizing and resolving our problems leads to a better world for everyone.

Blessing us all as we are willing to see and acknowledge, forgive and give to ourselves the help we need.
Loving you and me and we,
Betty Lue

Communication

My question:  Is there a way to share with one who has no desire to hear ?

Who is the one who has “no” desire to hear?
If your communication is loving and affirming, the other will receive it whether said, written, or thought.
All beneficent thoughts are received heart to heart.

If your communication is criticizing and negating, they will not be open to hear or will feel offended, attacked or hurt.   If this is your intention, I recommend you forgive yourself for wanting to hurt, criticize or attack another.  All criticisms are really about the critic.

It is by our example that others can tell if we are safe, forgiving and loving beings.
It is by our words that others can hear if we are unsafe, judgmental and critical beings.
Only we can choose how we show up in our world.
If we remember to forgive all lack of love and love those who lack, we will be teaching only Love.

Loving ourselves is essential to all communication.

Is there a way to stop letting someone hurt me?
·      Stop taking it personally.
·      Forgive any guilt or blame you may have in your mind.
·      Ask them to start communicating in a positive way.
·      Do not engage in conversation when they are drinking or using or angry.
·      Give yourself a “timeout” and step away until there is a calm time.
·      Ask for communication in writing only.
·      Leave the relationship and forgive yourself for allowing anyone to hurt you.
·      Ask for a neutral third party to negotiate any further communication.
·      Let anything that is said go “in one ear and out the other”.
·      Do not tolerate abusive language or hurtful  emotional or physical interaction.
·      Stop hoping for something different.

Tolerating abusive language or behavior will only create more of the same.
Treating the abusive person in an abusive way will generate more of the same.
Being nice, condescending and appeasing the abusive behavior will like incur more of the same.
Standing up for ourselves and doing what is effective to protect ourselves is natural and healthy.

Our work in human relationships is really about doing what is natural.
·      When our communication yields arguing and hurt, stop.
·      When communication feels like each person needs to be right, stop.
·      When communication is really not helpful and hurtful, stop.

Humans often use communication to try to win.
Human need to listen and understand before seeking to be understood.
Reading the real meaning under the words is essential to responding with understanding.
The word “Communication”  means “coming together as One”.

When we behave in a truly “human” or “humane” way, we are compassionate, forgiving and respond with Love, Peace, Understanding and Intention to heal the pain, the problem, the separation.

Loving us all as we erase what disconnects us to ourselves, our Source and one another.
Loving us as we remember to reconnect,
Betty Lue

Chosen Roles and Responsibilities

There is nothing more important than living your Truth and following your Path.
We are not happy or complete until we have fulfilled our own mission and life purpose.
Not everyone is here to be a mother or father, a leader or teacher, a speaker or politician.
We need to choose wisely what will give us meaning and inspiration, purpose and joy.

During our lives we may change our focus, depending on the circumstance.
For example, I am more present as a grandmother than as a mother.
My devotion to my initial family came as a teaching from my Dad.
My devotion to grand parenting came as a “calling” and inspires me.

My life focus is for the “greater good”, the family of Humanity.
It is here that I am truly happy and fulfilled, inspired and grateful.
While being a super homemaker with gourmet cooking, landscaping, home decorating, and attention to husband and children, it was through volunteering 30 hrs/week in elementary classrooms, and parent education programs and community events that I began to fulfill my calling. And from this I went to graduate school for school and clinical psychology and later spiritual studies and more.

Ask yourself, what you are called to do.
A calling is not from duty or obligation.
A calling is not from societal or family training.
A calling is what moves and inspires you from within.

When we are truly happy, we give our best.
When we are truly inspired, we speak our truth.
When we are guided from within, we are honest and dependable.
When we know ourselves and give ourselves the best, we are respectful of others’ choices.

Where we find ourselves, discouraged and discontent, we are not following our path.
When we seem to be depressed and conflicted, we are usually denying ourselves.
When we are complaining, whining, wishing things were different, we may be forgetting ourselves.
When we let past history, fear, judgment and other’s approval lead us, we are neglecting our way.

The signs are clear.
Our right is to be happy and fulfilled.
Our role is to fully be all of Who We Are and do as we are called to do.
Our responsibility is to listen within and follow our calling.

Let us forgive ourselves for being misguided.
Let us forgive ourselves for letting “duty and obligation” rule.
Let us forgive ourselves for denying our inner Truth.
Let us forgive ourselves for being unhappy and stuck.

Let us forgive and choose again for the right roles and responsibilities of our own Path.
Trust that each of us has a right way to live and love, serve and give, unique for us.
We cannot tell or define what is “right” for anyone else.
Serve yourself well and following your calling.

Loving you,
Betty Lue

Family Matters

This Sunday at Unity Center for Inspired Living in Brentwood, I will be speaking on: Path of the Family.
You can listen to all our Sunday talks at InspiredLivingCenter.org under Past Talks.

A family is a group of people who are called together to love, protect and provide for the safety, security, socialization needs of one another.  Most families appear to be dysfunctional, often providing unsafe, insecure and anti-social environments and behaviors for one another.  When children grow up feeling unsafe, insecure and lack healthy social experiences, they do not know how to offer them to their own families….

What does it mean to be safe?
What does it take to feel secure?
What are healthy social interactions?
How do we provide these for one another in our family structure?

Our children need to feel safe, secure with opportunities to socialize within their own family system.
To feel safe, we need to know we can share our thoughts, feeling and behaviors without being hurt.
To feel safe, we need to know our basic needs for food, shelter and rest will be provided.
To feel safe, we need to be reassured that  we will not be harmed within our homes and schools.

Our children need to feel secure.
To feel secure, we need to know we will not be rejected, neglected or abandoned.
To feel secure, we need to know that adults will we there for us if we have need.
To feel secure, we need to know our parents feel secure within their marriage and work place.

Our children need to experience healthy social interactions.
To socialize in healthy ways, we need to have friends with whom we talk and share.
To socialize well, we need to have people listen to us without interruption and talk with us.
To socialize well, we need to have social experiences with strangers as well as family members.

What happened to the family structure?
Are we remember how to love one another?
Do we know how to listen to each other?
Are we having fun together or is it all work?

Family reminders of what can work again.
  • Taking special time with each person, quality one on one time.
  • All participating in a family project that is happy and positive.
  • Playing family games or a family outing weekly.
  • Time everyday to converse as a group around meal lime or before bed.
  • Happy greetings every morning and every night before bedtime.
  • Talking with everyone respectfully, No yelling, threatening or complaining.
  • Adults treating one another with caring, kindness, appreciation and respect.
  • Celebrating the achievements of one another with sincere congratulations.
  • No TV, videos, internet, phone and business, except during limited hours.
  • Prioritize family time without alcohol or other interference with positive interactions.
  • Moderation in all behaviors with no hurtful words or behaviors.
  • Strengthen each family member by giving them as much responsibility as they can handle.
  • Ensure every person feels as an equal and important to the whole, elders and kids included.

Without a safe, secure and healthy family structure, there are difficulties in other interactions.
Everyone needs sound functional family relationships to function well on a worldly level.
Now is the time to begin finding a balance in all our relationships by treating others as capable.
We can each make a change in how we relate to everyone we meet, at home, at work and in the world.

Loving us all as we make begin to bring healthy family structure into our daily lives.
You can build a family everywhere you go.
Loving us as One Family,
Betty Lue

Recommendations for Successful Relationships
With mates, partners, friends, children, co-workers, etc.

Keep your agreements faithfully.
(Communicate changes honestly and immediately.)

Give more than you expect to receive.
Do more than your “fair” share.

Receive everything with open appreciation.
Express your thanks sincerely and take nothing for granted.

Live your own life in integrity and on purpose.
Clarify, communicate and live your mission, your path, your principles and values.

Be responsible for yourself, your work and live your life impeccably.
Don’t expect others to pick up after you or take care of you.

Stop using, blame, criticism or guilt to control or manipulate.
Stop making demands, threats or using neediness to get your way.

Communicate effectively and respectfully.
Request a time and place and tone of voice that works for both parties.

Be your best self in all circumstances.
Focus always on teaching by example. (and apologize immediately when you forget or neglect.)

Use your time together wisely.
Focus on meaningful, positive and inspiring conversation and activities.

Spend time, money, energy and resources only on what you value and want to increase.
Waste nothing in your relationship.  No arguing, pettiness, emotional dumping or negativity.

*************************************************************************
There are many more agreements which I encourage you and your partner to write together.
I encourage all parties to take time to re-evaluate your agreements monthly or on a regular basis.

As circumstances change, there is a need to re-commit to what works for all participants.
Families need to meet to look at the specific needs of each individual to be at their best.
Couples need to ensure that the relationship is “serving all parties.
Business partners need to return to their original agreement and consider changing roles as needed.

Life requires that we be in relationship.
With respect for ourselves and each other there is open communication.
With responsibility for the quality of our relationships, there is a willingness to seek what works for all.
With cooperation there is encouragement to listen for ways to serve the needs of everyone.
When everyone WINS, the relationships are harmonious, peaceful and enjoyable.

Blessings to us all in our willingness to continue to explore and find better ways of relating,
Betty Lue

Random Acts of Kindness

Yesterday, a beautiful bowl of flowers showed up at our home.
What a beautiful and bountiful surprise inviting joy and gratitude!
When we do the unexpected without asking for anything, we are truly giving.
When we give like innocent children simply wanting to share, we are truly loving.

Anonymous Giving is natural and effortless Loving.
Giving from our heart expects nothing in return.
Giving for the sheer joy is honest and healing.
Giving simple ways for no reason is delightful.

When you are happy, share your happiness.
When you are grateful, share your gratitude.
When you are creative, share your creativity.
When you are peaceful, share your peace.

When the world teaches us to share misery and suffering, drama and degradation, we increase them.
When our heart, inner guide, encourages us to share the Goodness and Beauty, we increase them.
When we experience people who love to compare how bad it is for them, there seems to be connection.
When we join with people who celebrate the Good in their lives, we are lifted up into gratitude and joy.

We have a choice.
We can bear glad tidings of great joy.
We can bring news of what ails us and others.
What we perceive we strengthen and what we share we increase.

Random acts of kindness open the way to see, feel and believe Love prevails.
Acts of kindness demonstrate that we are happy to be able to give.
Being kind to our neighbors, family and friends as well as strangers, inspires Love for All.
Giving for the pure Joy of sharing what we have inspires us to give and share even more.

When we give, we receive.
When we receive, we are inspired to give.
When we share, everyone has more.
When we care, we share, inspire and give.

Some Kindness reminders:
·     Call someone who may be lonely.
·     Write a note or email just to say you care.
·     Smile at your neighbor or grocery clerk….ask how they are today.
·     Give a complement to someone unexpectedly.
·     Give a handout to a homeless person with a personal positive blessing and eye contact.
·     Listen for what is needed and give it from your own personal stuff.
·     Donate extra unused furniture, clothing, kitchen goods to a family or organization.
·     Pay for the bridge toll for the car behind you.
·     Give the waitress a little extra tip in her hand with a smile and your sincere gratitude.
·     Take a few minutes to listen to someone talk about their family or vacation.
·     Buy flowers or some special gift to someone who works for you.
·     Write a note of gratitude for service providers to let them know they matter.
·     Give your child an extra hug today and tell them how special they are to you.
·     Look in your partners eyes and really share your appreciation.
·     And take time every day to give yourself some extra love for Being Who You Are.

You are making a difference.
Your Love is changing your world.
Your Light is a blessing to those who you shine upon.
Your Life is for Giving and You are the Gift!

Loving you each and everyone.
(even if we have not met…..I am loving you!)
Betty Lue

You Are A Flower in the Garden of Life
If you would grow to be your best self
Be patient, not demanding
Accepting, not condemning
Nurturing, not withholding
Self-marveling, not belittling
Gently guiding, not pushing & punishing

For you are more sensitive than you know
Mankind is tough as war
Yet delicate as flowers
We can endure agonies
But we open fully only to warmth & light
And our need to grow is fragile as a fragrance
Dispersed by storms of will
To return only when those storms are still

So accept, respect,
Attend your sensitivity

A flower
Cannot be opened
With a hammer

Clearing Upsets of Every Kind

Relationships Reminder

Every upset is a past similar.
Every upset is triggered by some ancient unhealed memory.
Every upset is revealing a wound left unattended and misunderstood.
When we do not see what is real, we cannot heal what is false.

Every fear, concern, worry, hurt, judgment, resentment, guilt has a cause in our minds.
We make up the reasons for it all, when there really is no cause other than our choice.
To perceive is to conceive and believe and receive what we have chosen unconsciously.
We see what we believe and want to see.

To expose our miscreations and misperceptions and misinterpretations is not what the ego wants.
We must acknowledge the resistance and do it anyway to clear the emotional/physical upset.
Our lives are projections of the unfinished business of history and humanity, yours, mine and ours.
We have the freedom and responsibility to clear it all with our willingness and spiritual work.

What we believe, we will see.
What we conceive and believe, we will achieve.
What we imagine, think and speak is being created.
What we forgive, erase, release and undo we clear and complete.

The Healing Work is to calm emotional reactions and listen to the peace in your heart.
Awareness with non-judgment is healing.
First, Reveal what you want to heal.
Observe your emotional reactivity and you will see what you have imagined to be.
Observe with neutrality and you will see what you want to be.
*******************************************
Here is a process that works beautifully to see what needs our attention!
Write a page or more of:
The real reason I am upset (concerned, fearful, confused, hurting, etc) is:
Continue writing responses until you are empty inside, until there are not more.

Read them slowly back to yourself, crossing off whatever you know is not true.
Whatever responses are left are calling for clearing, healing, forgiving and undoing.

Look for common beliefs that infuse them all.
i.e. I am not enough.  Life is hard.  I am not capable or loveable.
Rewrite the script with a new affirmation of the Highest Truth.
I am overflowing with Goodness.
Life is fun, safe and Easy.
I am loveable and capable.

Write the new affirmation 20 times daily for 14 days or more, until there are no opposing thoughts.
If you have trouble finding the resisting belief or writing affirmations, email me and I will help.

You know you are clear when you no longer, judge, resent, blame, fear or get upset.
You know when you have healed the obstacle to peace, because you are at peace.
You know when you can easily take responsibility, forgive yourself and choose again.
This is the beginning of the end of emotional reactivity and the beginning of loving response ability.

Life is good and all is well.
Loving you,
Betty Lue
