Planning and Scheduling

Summer Plans

The best plan is to listen to Spirit moment by moment and follow on the High Way.
Second best may be to plan events, activities and gatherings that feel happy.
Third best is to get things done and appreciate yourself with the rewards doing what you enjoy.
Last, victim stance is to let the time pass by being consumed with mistakes, problems and emergencies.

When we fill our lives with Good stuff, there is no room for messes and catastrophes.
When we leave no time for difficulties and contingency plans, life is fun, safe and easy.
When our minds are filled with creativity, fulfillment and appreciation, we cannot imagine upset.
When we live on purpose, off purposes do not occur.

What could you create in your life that would be so fulfilling and joyful that you could do it forever?
How could you live your life so that you would have no space to be unhappy, scared and upset?
When have you been at peace, truly happy and in love with yourself and your life?
How could you recreate your whole life to live in the ideal way every day?

Are you willing to undo the events, people and circumstances that distract, disappoint and delay you?
Are you open to letting go of what doesn’t work for you and only indulge in what is Good for you?
Are you honest about how you allow yourself to be victimized and at the effect of others?
Can you release the need to please others, to belong, to fit, to hang in there, to make it work?

Are you ready to be true to your whole self and give yourself the circumstances that heal and grow you?
Can you honestly reveal what keeps you stuck in serving outer cirumstances rather than inner peace?
Is there a possibility that you are living someone else’s expectations, demands and scheduling?
Would you be willing to design a life plan that is truly highest and best for You?

Life calls us to release (forgive) and choose again.
Life invites us to be willing to let go of yucky stuff.
Life encourages us to be our own person and let those who want to be with us to come.
Life is a process of easily and gently letting go of everything that isn’t life-giving and inspiring.

Summer is here.
Time for new beginnings.
Commit to give yourself what is best for you.
Remember what is best for you is best for others…….
Because it support you being happy healthy and helpful.

Loving You for being willing,
Betty Lue

School’s Out

(Notes for my talk at Unity on the Delta this morning!)
This was written Saturday eve.

Are we done yet?
Have we finished with the hard part?
When can I just watch TV and play?
How about a snack and a little time on the internet?
Can’t I just be done with all this growth stuff?

What will graduation look like?
What will life be when we are finished?
Are we willing to do the work?
What’s the payoff for doing all this spiritual work?

Let’s consider this.
Life is a university, a school of learning.
We are here to unlearn what is made up.
We are here to remember what is real.
Life gives us the opportunity to go along with the standard program or to choose a higher education.

What are our choices?
We can conform to what those around us aspire to be and do or we can choose the high way.
We can agree to the beliefs that are promoted by those around us or we can listen within.
We can serve the needs of humanity or we can honor the will of God and follow the path of Love.
We can pass on the mistakes of our forefathers or forgive them all and choose again for the Light.
We can see life as a burden and suffer with the gravity of it all or we can live free with delight.
We can approach the problems that appear to be as serious and difficult or decide to breathe with trust.
We can let every crisis be a crossroads of choice for the old way or choose a new path of faith.
We can let ourselves down with disappointment or lift ourselves up with appreciation.

Life is a schooling.
When we look forward to each learning, we enjoy the process.
When we resist or fear the lessons, we feel besieged with burden.
When we appreciate each person and situation as our teacher, we listen and learn with ease.
When we resent the teachers and the lessons, we are stuck with painful consequences of ignorance.
When we compete to be the best or get there first, we lose the opportunity to learn teamwork.
When we try to be the teacher’s favorite, we miss the student teachers who may have more to teach us.
When we look forward to the playground, we may miss the lessons at lunch.
When we can’t waste time sharpening our pencils and getting ready to learn, we may need a pen.

How long does it take?
Did you get it yet?
What does It look like and feel Like?
Can it be that there is nothing to get and we are here to get that there is nothing to get?
Can it be that we already have what we are here to be and do and have?
Can it be that life is a merry-go-round where enjoying the ride is the graduation?

Let’s be amazed and amused and see what gratitude and inner peace bring.

*********************************************************************
This morning I wrote the following .....When I actually give the Sunday talk, I let go of my notes and let the inner teacher teach what is being called forth by all of us who choose to listen. Much the same as I write these reminders. I let go and allow my inner voice to write these words to you and me and those who are called to read them. Loving us all!

Are you willing to be willing to let go of the false lessons you have been living and teaching?
Are you ready to recognize what you have been teaching with everything you think, say and do?
Are you aware of the difference between the fear of humanity and the Love of God?
Are you understanding the need to forgive, release and undo everything that is not true?

How does a good student learn?
Willingness
Open-mindedness
Receptivity
Patience
Trust
Honesty
Defenselessness
Appreciation
Faithfulness
Joy
Gentleness

Are you willing to hear God’s Voice within you?
Are you Open to God’s Will? (for Goodness sake!)
Are you receptive to God? (worthy of only Good Stuff!)
Are you patient with yourself in learning? ( no more self-criticism_
Are you trusting in your inner teacher? ( believing there is spiritual wisdom in you!)
Are you honest with yourself and your teacher? (no self deception or pretending!)
Are you holding no defenses or barriers between you and your Teacher? (fully self disclosing!)
Are you appreciative of all you are learning? (grateful for all the lessons in illusion and truth)
Are you faithful and consistent in listening within? (Regular time to listen to your inner voice)
Are your happy and willing to learn? (like an innocent and curious child!)
Are you gentle and kind with yourself and others in the learning process? (Learning is fun, safe and easy!)

Resistant students will eventually get it and learn the lessons of Love, but the process may seem to take longer (maybe lifetimes) and have more bumps in the road. Those who depend totally on themselves and the limitations of the fear-based egoic personality and physical body and the world we see may be frustrated with the variability of results in their flailing attempts at mastering this temporary condition.

It is in our modeling of being an attentive and appreciative student that we best help others.
When we are willing to acknowledge our mistakes and forgive them easily and quickly, we demonstrate the simple process of effective learning. When we are happy willing learners, we are the best teachers.

I love to learn.
I am willing to listen and follow my inner teacher.
I am open and trusting of the Good that is ours.

School’s Out

It is the perfect time to take the time to really learn something.
School’s out, summer is here.
Time for vacation from business as usual.
It’s time to relax and reflect.

What are you learning?
What have you accomplished?
What needs to be undone?
What calls to be done?

When we are busy with our schedules and agendas, there is little time to assess and evaluate.
We are often in jet lag with our own spiritual development, because we are to busy to see.
When we are preoccupied with everyone else’s needs, requests and demands, we fail to listen to our own.
We are often consumed with fulfilling the promises, agreements, expectations of others.

School in the worldly sense has breaks from the required activities of everyday life.
When we step away from our daily schedule, we have a hiatus in which to relax and renew.
However in the spiritual life, there is no lack of learning.
As awakening and conscious beings, we are here to observe, forgive unconsciousness and choose again.

The continuum of learning and growth shows up mostly in the undoing of the false.
When we find a path that leads to unhappiness, pain or resentment, we are called to step away
When we think, speak or act in unkind ways, we feel guilt and need to forgive and choose again.
When we step into situations which are destructive, negative or hurtful, we learn to stop ourselves.

Often we are captured by the competition of being better than another.
Or we seek to get more attention, approval, money or rewards than others.
Perhaps we seek for more excitement, more adventure, more happiness, more of whatever we value.
We will learn over time, to expand the value of what we have with full appreciation.

It is in valuing that we reclaim and renew the value.
It is in appreciating that we expand and increase the Good.
It is in forgiving that we undo what is not really True and claim what is.
It is in choosing that we claim our natural inheritance of Beauty, Harmony Goodness and Wholeness,

So every grade and every graduation becomes another opportunity to see where we have been, how far we have come and still to appreciate exactly where we are.

School’s out, but the learning and unlearning never ends.
Beginning again and enjoying every moment,
Betty Lue

Who Do You Count On?

Do you depend on your body?
Do you depend on your bank account?
Do you depend on your parents?
Do you depend on your friends?
Do you depend on doctors and medicine?
Do you depend on media and books?
Do you depend on fairness and justice?
Do you depend on being rescued and saved?
Or do you depend on your Self?
There is risk in depending on others.
They may be ill or gone or simply needing to step away.
There is the disappointment of trusting someone to be there and they cannot or will not be.

Do you depend on your intuition?
Do you depend on people being honest?
Do you depend on nothing and no one?
Do you depend on being hurt, disappointed and scared?

We all have our dependencies, attachments and sometimes addictions.
When we can identify where we are leaning, we can assess whether it is reasonable.
When we own our neediness, we can begin to free ourselves and find a better way.
When we recognize our weakness, neediness and helplessness, we can choose to heal and grow.

Is it time to forgive mistaken dependency on quick fixes and short term relationships?
Is it best to trust what you hear and know and feel inside?
Is it helpful to depend only on God and the intrinsic Goodness in humanity?
Is it best to depend on yourself to give only the best you have and trust it will come around?

Are you ready to seek the Good by seeing the Good?
Are you willing to give all you have so that all will have?
Are you open for depending on your right relationship with your world?
Are you trusting that you can listen within to learn what is highest and best for all?

To depend on God, Goodness and Love is to trust that there is meaning to the world we see.
To give ourselves to that Divine or meaningful plan invites us to listen and respond with love.
To be grateful is to appreciate, accelerate and expand the Good that we know and see and be.
To depend on the power of undoing with forgiven and choose again to create with wisdom is key.

Remember you are at choice.
Choose wisely and you will appreciate your choices.
Choose with dependency and you will question your choices.
Bless you for choosing the high way.

New Beginnings

Every birth is a new beginning.
Every day is a new beginning.
Every breath is a new beginning.
Every choice is a new beginning.

When we attach the past to the present, we are delivering the new with the old attached.
Love is the opportunity to being again.
Love is the choice to trust in what is new.
Love is the place we are free to be without attachments.

When we “for give”, we return to love.
When we “forgive” we erase the past.
When we “forgive” be experience a new beginning.
When we “give for” the sake of love, we are free and trusting in new beginnings.

Life is meant to be an ever renewing creation.
As we learn to refresh and renew by releasing the old files in memory, we can create what is new.
New Beginnings can only happen when we forgive the old “used to be”.
Ask yourself if you are attached to what was, because it was familiar, comfortable and manageable.

Often we resist starting over, because we fear erasing the good from our memory.
Sometimes we resist beginning again because we believe we won’t make better choices.
And many stick with the same old program, because they are too lazy to choose and change.
Yet, new beginnings give you the opportunity to choose again for what you really want.

Consider the freedom you have to choose again.
Trust your ability to make better choices.
Explore the creative potential within you to create what is best.
Bless the past for giving you the tools and courage to choose a new beginning.

Each day in every way, we are better and better, and more capable to choose wisely.
Blessed be.

Victim or Empowered?

Do you play weak and needy?
Does it work to get the love you want?

Do you act helpless to get the support you desire?

Are you in the habit of looking for how your are cheated and mistreated?

Does the “poor me” position work for you or a
gainst you?
Does getting sick become the excuse you need to say “no” or just to rest.

Are you
r quitting on life because you are afraid or exhausted from being fearful?
Are you tired of playing sick and tired and ready to do life differently?

Are you up for undoing the past complaints and choosing again?

Have you connected your self abusive thoughts and feelings with the abuse from others?

Have you r
ecognized that judgments, fears, self image and perceptions are creating our experience?

Are you ready to choose for a better way, a more effective and fun, safe and easy way to live?
How about forgiving false learning from the teachings of the world, your family and those you admire?
How about letting go of efforting in the world and just cleaning up your thinking and beliefs?
Are you willing to change your self perception and see you potential and unlimited power?
Are you ready to stop being angry, hurt and afraid and choosing to be clear, calm and conscious?
Are you capable of taking impeccable care of yourself and your life?
Will you get to work on cleaning up all past messes and mistakes?
Can you take responsibility for the choices you have made without guilt?
Are you open to stop blaming anyone for anything and simply learn from it all?
Will it work for you to establish a few goals, priorities and then reward your daily accomplishment?
Can you take credit for how far you have come and how much you have learned and created?
Can you begin to see the power is in your mind and your words and your actions?

What you conceive and believe, you can achieve.
What you imagine (hold an image in your mind) and believe (trust in your heart, you will experience unless you interfere (allow fear to hold you back.)
Life is a creation of our inner thoughts, beliefs and images put into form with our words and deeds.
When we take full response-ability for being the “chooser” ,there is nothing we cannot do.

Begin imagining yourself as powerful, unlimited and totally capable and deserving.
Erase every thought or feeling that seems to doubt, fear or judge this truth.
Live life every day as a beautiful powerful ad good person, for such is the Truth about You.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

Relationships

What is the purpose of relationships?
What is their value to me?
How do I know who to choose and how long to stay?
How do relationships work to benefit me and the other?

Everything is an excuse to be in relationship.
Relationships are for the purpose of healing or the return to wholeness.
The work in relationships is to heal your perceptions so you reveal the goodness in yourself and the other.
Every encounter has healing potential; therefore every relationship is holy.

Some people choose a relationship because of physical attraction and chemistry.
When the attraction fades or is covered with the worldly reality, the relationship ends.
Here the value is to see that the physical stuff is temporary, like gold paint on a frame.
When we love what will be hidden by criticism, disappointment and pain, the love fades over time.

Some choose relationships where they can get the love and approval, help and support they want.
When needs are satisfied, the relationship works and continues with giver and taker.
When the needy one is no longer pleased with the quality or quantity of help, love and care given, the relationship becomes demanding or ends with resentment.
When the giver feels used or abused, there may be confusion, blame or a withdrawal of love.

Some relationships are to learn lessons and heal parts of ourselves.
There is an opportunity to become aware of unforgiveness, comparison, neediness and to heal within.
There may we experiences which elucidate what is needed to heal oneself and become appreciative.
Where there is self forgiveness, open-mindedness and appreciation there is healing.

Some relationships are simply for a fellow spiritual traveler, a companion and co-creator.
Along the way, unhealed past patterns emerge but are treated with compassion and understanding.
The relationship is valued as a tool for each person to continue their spiritual development.
There is little or no attachment to the form of relationship for both see it as helpful to the journey.

There are many forms of relationship.
The personality which feels lacking uses its relationships to fulfill the need.
The need may be to heal, to forgive, to fix, to support, to grow, to be loved, but the underlying need is to remember to give and be and teach the Love we are.
All of us are here to remember to Love, to trust and free ourselves and others in the return to wholenss.

Whatever the relationship (lovers, married partners, parent/child, co-workers, friends), we all have much to share (teach and learn) with our life experiences and expressions.
No matter how long we are together ( brief encounters or lifetime), there is always healing value.
When we remember the beauty, the goodness, the blessing of loving one another, there is healing.

Let go with Love and appreciation and there is healing.
Continue on with Love and gratitude and there is healing.
Think of, speak about demonstrate Love and gratitude and there is healing.
The healing intention of all relationships is the return to Love (trust and freedom) and the remembrance of our intrinsic wholeness and holiness.

And so it is. Blessed be all relationships, for they are all a blessing.

Who Are You?

What defines you?
What is your soul’s purpose?
What have you decided about your life?
What is your highest intention for living, loving and giving?

Our definitions are usually based on our education, accomplishments and life experiences.
Our personality often wants to be seen, known and valued.
Our ego’s desires may be to achieve greatness through accumulation of people, money or awards.
Or we may be proud of our self made limitations, littleness and lack.

Sometimes our name, our degrees, our challenges and our triumphs define us.
When we are attached to those aspects of life which are temporary, we fear losing them.
When we change course from greatness to anonymity, we may lose a sense of self worth.
When we watch the body change in energy and ability, we may lose meaning.

What if our self measurement is faulty and we are allowing the values of humanity to define us.
What if the true refinement in life is letting go of all we thought was important and mattered.
What if we need to undo all the trappings of life to discover our real value is not in what we make or do.
What if our real value cannot be seen or measured, for it is found in the infinite value of being.

You, yes you, are valuable simply because you are a creation of Love the ultimate and unlimited Source.
You are a gift of creation, here to experience and enjoy the gift of being.
Yet, we tend to forsake enjoyment for the sake of striving to be more than we think we are.
And we cling to the proof of our worth in what we teach and create, heal and accomplish.
All the while we neglect and ignore our Reality, the Truth of Who We Are.

Our destiny and the final project of the physical experience is simply to realize our natural Perfection.
It is our Essence and not our physicality that has infinite worth.
It is our Being and not what we have done that matters.
It is our appreciation of what is and Who We Are that brings fulfillment.

Can we imagine what life will be when we let go of all striving and simply appreciate what is?
Can we fully embrace and profoundly love ourselves when we realize, we are Love no matter what?
Can we truly listen and understand the fullness of meaning in “All is Well”?
Can we receive the richness of inner peace and deep joy in Remembering We Are One?

Life is Good because we are.

Following or Leading?

Who are you following?
Where are they going?
Do you admire their life?
Do you trust them more than yourself?

Who are you leading?
Where are you going?
Do you respect your life choices?
Do you trust yourself to lead others?

Do you want to be a winner?
Are you trying to be better than others?
Are your thoughts, words and actions comparative?
Are you accepting each person’s journey as their own?

Is it possible that we think loving one another is about being the same?
Is it true we have accepted others more when they live like we do?
Can we accept that conformity is our way of avoiding criticism and rejection?
When will be willing to trust our counsel and advice is always for ourselves?

Big sisters and brothers, parents, well-meaning friends and our need to please all invite dependency.
Self-doubt, comparison, need for approval and self-criticism encourage asking others for opinions.
Taking time to trust ourselves, listen within and then follow our own inner guidance is key to maturity.
Forgiving ourselves for seeming past mistakes and believing life is for learning, invites self trust.

To free ourselves to simply “go for it.” is central to fulfillment and joy.
Telling ourselves to listen to our heart and “Just do it!” inspires self confidence and freedom.
Being willing to make mistakes simply to learn and grow in trust and freedom.
Letting go of the need to get approval and belong frees us to live our own life purpose.

Life is an adventure for those who listen within.
Life is a joy for those who forgive all criticism.
Life is healing for those for are kind to themselves.
Life is a blessing for those who are willing to bless.

Enjoying the goodness in life,
Betty Lue

Harmony Within

When we live in harmony, life is successful.
When we experience disharmony, we can undo and choose again.

When we have harmony within, our life is integrated and holy.
When we are in harmony with all aspects of ourselves we know inner contentment.
When we doubt, discredit and deny ourselves, our life is distracted, disjointed and vulnerable.
When we judge our choices and our experiences, we create disharmony in our own lives.

When we love, honor and respect ourselves, we strengthen inner peace and well-being.
When we love, honor and respect others, we strengthen intimacy and support our relationships.
When we please others to get their approval and judge others when we don’t, we create separation.
When we give others our best and extend forgiveness and kindness at all times, we find peace.

Harmony creates success because there is joining and flow.
Disharmony begets failure and lack, because there is separation and blockage.
Harmony is choosing for what works to kindle feelings of well-being, openness and gratitude.
Disharmony is choosing to react with negative feelings, self-made opinions and condemnation.

Practical applications for harmony:
If a family member is withdrawn, cautious and shy, respond with openness, easy contact and welcoming.
If you are feeling out of sorts, take time to create peace with writing, movement, nature, self-care.
If you have an angry aggressive encounter with someone, breathe, soften your heart, listen openly.
If your mate is having a “bad” day, listen intuitively or ask, “Can I do anything to be helpful?”

Energies can be masculine, direct, powerful, productive and assertive.
Energies can feminine, subtle, yielding, receptive and passive.
Where there is a balance of energies working together for the harmony of the whole, there is success.
Where we individually are in a state of imbalance or righteous about being “right”, energy gets stuck.

Flowing energy yields health.
Stagnant energy yields dis-ease (lack of Peace).
Where energy flows in relationships, all things can be used for Good.
Where energy flows within our Being, we find health, happiness and inner fulfillment.

Seek harmony within.
Share it with all Beings.
Know your Light blesses all.

And so it is.

Storms in Life

On June 6, 1944, the allies invaded Normandy and called it D Day.( first day of an invasion) with 5000 ships, 13, 000 aircraft and 160, 000 troops. World War II.
Last night here in Rio Vista we experienced a lighting and thunder storm that rattled the windows and lit up the sky for maybe 30 minutes.
It felt like the earth’s re-enactment of a war zone without the loss of life and devastation. Scary for some and inspiring for us.
Last night our President gave a speech which may have been received as an awakening a call for peace instead of a call to arms.
We are in a stormy time of choosing new beginnings, a new world order, a new way of reaching decisions or simply reworking the old, the tried and what is “true” for us historically.

What if we, you and I, begin to use every storm in life to wake up (as we did in the middle of the night) to forgive ourselves for all our past failed attempts at peace and harmony.
What if we let go of our useless and out-moded concepts of what is right and allow a new vision to take hold.
What if we stop clinging to “our way” and ask for a “better way”.
What if we release our need to be better than, more powerful than, and wiser than, and learn to listen.
What if we stop deciding for others and simply are hones about what we really choose for ourselves.
What if we claim our own “honest and loving” intention, and stop trying to get others to state theirs.
What if we live our life on purpose and with genuine inner contentment, instead of demanding of others.
What if we lead by example rather than be arguing, convincing, advising or even running the show.
What if we find our inner peace, before we try to “make peace”.

Life is certainly teaching us all the time.
I only seek to be an open and willing students.
I intend to have and give the best I know.
I am willing to consistently learn to love everyone, including myself.

I feel blessed to easily and quickly let go of mistakes and let them each and all teach me.

Loving you in our curiosity and willingness to seek and find “better” ways to live and love,
Betty Lue

Balance

Work and Rest, Play and Creativity, we need them all.
Where we are not balancing our lives, we lack joy and success.
Ideas and Vision = Creativity
Direction and Accomplishment = Work
Enjoyment and Pleasure = Play
Relaxation and Renewal = Rest
Where we deny ourselves time and energy in each phase of life, we feel fulfilled, energized and happy.
Where we neglect aspects of abundant living, we feel lacking, discouraged and unfulfilled.

In relationship with our environment, we need balance of light and dark, inside and out in nature.
In relationship with our family and loved ones, we need balance and harmony
In relationship to our body, we need balance in diet, in movement, in self-care.
In relationship to our life, we need a balance of attention and intention.

Inner harmony and peace comes from fulfilling the natural call for balance in all things.
What makes life interesting is the variety of sights, sounds, shapes, rhythms and fragrances.
When we get stuck, we tend to become forgetful and unconscious, blind to the subtleties.
When we are attached to one way to be or one function to hold, we lose perspective and right action.

As I plan my week, I can choose what is being called forth and give it attention.
As I shift my focus within my environment I can notice what needs my time and energy.
As I respond to those with whom I relate, I can feel where there is a need for change in tone and attitude.
As I take impeccable care of my own life, I can give myself what seems to be missing.

Life is an every changing kaleidoscope of energies, inviting my constant choice.
It is up to me to rebalance according to the circumstances of the moment.
When I am lazy, forgetful or ignorant, I fall into the pain and problems of imbalance.
When I expect others and my world to change for me, I deny I am one piece of a greater whole.

Clearly the work in life is to be aware, to wake up to where I am, and with whom I am relating.
When I am conscious of what the current energies are, I can rebalance my position.
When I am interested and caring for others around me, I can choose what role is mine to play.
When I am free and trusting, I know the Love within me will respond with what is needed for harmony.

Loving me in remembering always and only to find the path to Love with patience and acceptance,
Betty Lue

"Whatever you are giving your attention to activates the same vibration in you.
It becomes your point of attraction; it becomes your point of allowing.
It might be a good idea for you to decide what you want to make active within your vibration." Abraham-Hicks

Just Human?

Are we humans having a spiritual experience?
Are we Spirit having a human experience?
Are we fearful of divinity and comfortable with our humanity?
Are we here to figure it out?

What would it mean to be unlimited and all loving?
What can we do with our lives if we are free of all limits, safe and healed and whole?
What will life be when we see we are not our bodies?
What happens when we are not attached to our personal identity, our achievements and our acquisitions?

Is it easier to acknowledge our humanness than to value our spirituality?
Is it more acceptable to accept our limitations and frailties that to affirm our infinite magnificence?
Is it more comfortable to go along with our human conditions than to transcend the limitations with Love?
Is it conditioned to love one another for our needs and dependencies and to fear those who are free?

To know our Spirit Self, we must release our human fear of being All we can be.
To know the Truth in which we are created, we must forgive our false beliefs and limited understanding.
To forgive our errors, we must forsake the faulty teachings and mis-creations of human history.
To release what is false and seek what is True is a holy life work transcending belief.

There is a Goodness and Essence of the infinite and unlimited within everyone.
There is a Peace and Creative Power that transcends time and space, thought and action.
There is a Joy and Light that has no limit and defies form and death.
There is an Energy of Love that flows abundantly always in everyone and everywhere.

This is the experience described with inadequate words that may be found in the unexplained.
Sometimes it is known in the miracle of birth, creation, and the mystery of the life-death cycle.
We know our connection in experience the syncronicity of thoughts being received by those far away.
We remember our perfection when we have totally forgiven the world’s judgments and see with de Light.

I have a body, but I am not my body.
I have emotions, but I am not my emotions.
I have a mind, but I am not my mind.
I am the song that sings only Love.
I am the voice that offers assurance and Peace.
I am the creator of all things Good and Beautiful, Whole and True.
I am the stillness that calms storms of doubt.
I am the Love that bring healing to pain.
I am the One bringing me home again.

I am the space of trust and freedom where Love is remembered and Wholeness restored. (my Truth)

Loving me and You with the Truth I live and know to be true for me,
Blessed be,
Betty Lue

Do What You Can Do

When physical stuff limits you, do what you can.
When in pain, honor what you can do without stress.
When aging or ill, do what you can do to care for you.
When simply being tired, do what you can do with ease.

When mental abilities seem limited, do what you can do simply.
When you forget things, enjoy remembering what you do.
When you find yourself mentally challenged, do what you can with relaxation, lists and help.
When you are confused or conflicted, do what you can do to find peace and clarity.

When financial hardships confront you, do what you can do with what you have.
When money matters limit your ability to live your dream, dream of enjoying what you have.
When the economy changes how you live, live with simplicity and gratitude.
When bankruptcy, foreclosure and unpaid bills loom over you, find peace in living with less.

This life was never about doing more, knowing more or having more.
Life is about enjoying what we do, trusting in what we know and appreciating what we have.
Just do what you can and appreciate it.
Just do the best you can with what you have physically and mentally and financially.

Don’t play the victim anymore.
Don’t judge yourself or others.
Don’t try to figure out or fix what went wrong.
Ask what you can do and then do what you can.

Happiness comes when we stop judging ourselves and others.
Happiness comes from accepting what is.
Happiness comes when we truly appreciate and enjoy life.
Happiness comes when we stop comparing ourselves with anyone or anything

Inner peace comes from acceptance.
Lasting happiness comes for not judging.
Perfect trust comes from not doubting.
Lasting Love comes fro remembering you are not alone.

When we remember simple wisdom and higher Truth,
We are peaceful and happy.
We are trusting and in Love.
So let’s remember together.

I am loving you,
Betty Lue

What Can You Do?

If you see something that needs to be done, it is yours to do.
What do you see that needs to be corrected?
What do you see that calls for attention?
What do you want to fix or change?

If you see it, what are you to do?
When you tell someone what they should do about it, they feel criticized.
When you make someone feel guilty, they tend to withdraw or blame.
When you put someone in position of being wrong, they may believe you.

How can we be truly helpful?
By trusting that everyone is doing the best they know in each moment.
By recognizing that only we can change our own mind.
By valuing our perception and responding in the most helpful and healing way we know.

How can we encourage, educate, inspire and support others to participate and take responsibility?
Appreciate and value what others do.
Openly acknowledge how you learn from the mistakes you make.
Create opportunities to offer help and encourage others to be helpful.

Ignoring something that is needed encourages ignorance.
Responding with energy and enthusiastic helpfulness encourages the same.
Giving your best and keeping your agreements inspires others to contribute their best.
Valuing the efforts that others make and trusting in their best intentions is rewarding and inspiring.

Do what you can do.
Give others credit for what they do.
Offer help only when you can do it without criticism.
Be happy and willing to step in when others will appreciate the support.

Loving you and me in responding with respect and appreciation when there appears to be a need,
Betty Lue

Movement

Keep the flow going so that you experience health, happiness and fulfillment.
To flow chi, energy and life force requires circular breath, gentle movements, water, good digestion and elimination. Ingesting whatever is best for you and letting go of what is complete, toxic or no longer needed. Life is about learning what to receive and when to let go and move on.

When things are slowed down, don’t push or rush.
When things are flowing swiftly, let go of resistance and enjoy the ride.
When things are bumpy, be flexible and trust the movement to carry you.
When things are fun, safe and easy, be grateful.

Life is a ride, sometimes an unpredictable roller coaster and sometimes a merry-go-round.
We can choose the rides that are more our cup of tea.
We can learn more about ourselves from whatever our reaction or response.
We can be willing to enjoy whatever the weather, the movement, the outcome.

With our conscious acceptance, openness and appreciation, we will be benefitted and blessed by it all.
Life is our opportunity to explore, experience and express our vision, our learning and our growth.
We can with willingness create an experience for ourselves that we appreciate.
We are participating in the outcome with our expectations, our affirmation (or condemnation).

Mercury has been in retrograde since May 6 and will turn direct May 30. Communication, travel plans and schedules, agreements and contracts, sometimes are confused, conflicting or interrupted during these times. So relax and let it be whatever it is.

Enjoying the journey and flowing with the flow.
Blessings of peace,
Betty Lue

LOVE

There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
No disease that enough love will not heal;
No door that enough love will not open;
No gulf that enough love will not bridge;
No wall that enough love will not throw down;
No sin that enough love will not redeem.

It makes no difference
How deeply seated may be the trouble,
How hopeless the outlook,
How muddled the tangle,
How great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.

If only you could love enough, you would be the happiest
and most powerful being in the world.

Make a Difference!

What can I do to make a difference in my world?
What can you do to make a difference in your everyday life?
What can we do together to make a difference for our children?
What can each one do to really leave a legacy of peace and gratitude?

Smile at each person you encounter.
Say “thank you” for every service given.
Offer a blessing to those who seem in need.
Live a life of balance, open-mindedness and appreciation.

We are each playing our part on the grand stage of physical life.
Everyone else is acting, observing, contributing or joining with us.
Together we are creating a musical, a comedy, a drama or a tragedy.
With the vision we hold, the lines that we speak and the character we play, we influence the outcome.

This life is in our hands.
When we open our hearts to giving our best and loving without quitting, we will experience happiness.
Life is working for us whether we are aware or not.
Our opinions, judgments, diagnoses and predictions are all shaping our performance and the finale.

To speak with gentleness creates more gentleness.
To act with kindness encourages more kindness.
To be grateful inspires gratitude in others.
To be truly happy teaches others to be happy.

You are making a difference in your homes, in your workplace, in your friendships and in your world.
Thank you for being aware, and responsible for all that you are choosing to do for the Good of us All.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

Remember the Good

What we remember, we strengthen in ourselves and others.
What we remember, we enhance and amplify.
What we remember, we hold in our minds and attract in our lives.
What we remember, we allow to inspire us and create more.

On this day, we are free to choose what we wish to remember.
We can choose to bless, to forgive, to appreciate, to lift up.
What we hold in our memory is a tribute to those we remember.
So let us give our best to those who have gone before us.

If we dwell on the negatives, the hardships, the pain, we feel depleted.
If we remember the good, the contribution, the gift given, we feel blessed.
If we focus on what we want to eliminate, it stays in our mind and will be repeated.
If we remember what we want to continue, it will grow naturally and be enhanced.

Let’s remember the blessings of liberty and justice that are growing around the world.
Let’s focus on the good that many unsung heroes and ordinary people are doing.
Let’s appreciate how humanity is awakening to the creative potential within.
Let’s celebrate the transformation in attitudes of political leaders and nations.
Let’s give thanks for those who have served and are now serving to protect civil liberties.
Let’s honor all who have pioneered with mistakes, forgiveness, learning and wisdom.
Let’s send out blessings to those who have died for the love of all people.
Let’s be glad our nation is turning toward working with all peoples as partners in peace.
Let’s let the past be past while remembering the blessings of our heritage and history.

Let remember Good and the goodness of Those who seek to do Good for the Good of All.
Betty Lue

God’s Country

Pure nature at its best!
It is very early spring with the deciduous trees just budding out.
Skunk cabbage with its brilliant yellow flowers is the bears’ post hibernation laxative.
Arctic Turns, a simple bird that can hover, has arrived to nest. It travels from Antartica to Alaska and back every year with a life time travel of over 600,000 miles. Amazing!
And the whales come here to breed! Brrr!
Because there is lots of food for mother to get fat and then return to warmer climates like Hawaii.
We saw a white mountain goat yesterday perched on a little ledge high in the mountains.
Birds, birds everywhere and eagles and ravens and bald eagles and sounds of spring.
Glaciers melting way too fast!
We are actually on an environmentally conscious cruise line…Celebrity the “Infinity”.
Highly recommended for those who love the natural simple beauty.
Yes, there are lots of tours and shopping at every port, but for those of us who just love the quiet and small population, this is great. Cold—37-46 degrees, but if you dress warm, its refreshing!

Body defenses beget more to defend against.
When I listen and focus on what I can give to each one in every moment, my body serves me well.
When I focus on my body experiences and symptoms and needs, I find I am distracted with thoughts, sensations and concerns that become more important that being the Presence of Loving Kindness.

Where I place my attention, I increase and strengthen.
When my attention is on hunger, I feel more hungry and am consumed with thoughts of feeding myself.
When my attention goes to an ache or fatigue, I strengthen the experience and begin seeking cause and cure.
When I judge my condition as wrong or dangerous, I then obsess on how to take better care of my body.
All of this leads to a self concerned defense system which creates ever more concern and need for attention.

By forgiving my errant thoughts, I can choose to focus my attention on Gratitude and Givingness.
When my attention is on serving, I feel truly helpful and seek to extend kindness.
When my attention is on blessing, I offer the joy in my heart with smiles and encouraging words.
When I am grateful for being full of life and love, I naturally contribute to my world and those around me.
All of this leads to an experience of connection, unity and a powerful sense of well-being and Peace.

Yes, I am learning and reminding myself of a higher Truth.
Simple is better.
Simple eating, living and loving.
Simple living without attachment or judgment.
Letting my inner Light lead me to love and trust is the key.
Forgiving all fear and stuckness is the path to happiness.

I love the way life teaches me everyday to remember only Goodness and Love will prevail.
I am loving you and will return home to my desk and morning routine on May 24-25.
Email access is irregular, and now have phone reception, but not when on the open seas.
Loving you with mighty connection of Gratitude and Peace.

Happy Mother’s Day

“Give your Self to Love and Love will Give to You.”

Everyone has a Mother.
Whether you know your mother or not, you grew in her womb.
Whether she loved and nurtured you the way you think you wanted, you are here now.
Whether you like her behavior, she did the best she knew.
And perhaps you are the aware and good person you are because of your early mother experiences.

Over many years and many hours of listening to people’s stories of their early experiences, it seems apparent that what hurts us is our lack of love and appreciation for those who brought us into this world.
After consideration of the alternatives, it seems likely that we each chose the parenting we experienced.
And with our forgiveness and gratitude, we can embrace and celebrate the “rightness” of our choice.
What shapes us is the attitude with which we embrace or reject what was our beginning, our creation.

Everyone is a Mother.
Like it or not, male or female, young or old, all of us are creating ideas, projects, opportunities and love.
All of us nurture, coo, nourish, care for and foster many people, pets, plants, meals, conversations, etc.
The mothering instinct is to protect and defend, to feed and to provide warmth, to encourage and support.
While this may not happen with those we birth, we reach out to love and care for many.
The blood family bond may not be ideal, but there will be those we mentor, coach, encourage and support.

Family systems are usually idealized into being parents providing wisdom and parenting for the children.
However, in many instances, the children parent and provide wisdom and inspiration for their parents.
Many children care for the home and their siblings.
Many children look out for the safety of their parents and the family home.
Many children begin mothering when siblings are born.
Let’s celebrate ourselves and the many ways we mother and encourage those around us.

From me to you…..
No matter your life experience…..
I want you to know …..
I love you.
I honor you.
I appreciate you.

You give more than you know.
It is in your giving to yourself and all others that you are creating a better world for all of us.
I thank you.
I bless you.

Always loving you the best I know,
Betty Lue

Being Responsible

For those who are willing to be responsible, we must be response-able.
To be able to respond, we must be healthy, happy, aware and willing.
To respond appropriately in each circumstance, we must listen within.
To respond with Loving kindness, we must forgive our judgments.

Being responsible is a life work.

If we see something that needs to be done, it is our responsibility to respond in some way.
If we have a fear or concern, we must first come to a place of peaceful willingness to respond effectively.
When we are afraid, angry or emotionally upset, our creative and helpful response is often distorted.
When we are not thinking clearly we may overreact or create more drama and less peace.

Being responsible is an opportunity to forgive.

When we notice that our world is lacking or limited, disrespectful or irresponsible, we must look within.
What we see outside can often be healed and transformed within our own mind and heart.
When we believe someone is behaving in an unloving way, we must first clean our own lives.
If what we see is a reflection of something in us, the first place to respond is to forgive ourselves.

Being responsible invites us to remember Love.

Love responds with Love to the lack of Love.
Love is patient with the healing process.
Love forgives the past and responds in the present.
Love is consistent and never quits.

Being responsible insists that we take care of ourselves first.

When we give with sacrifice or out of duty or obligation, the gift is less than whole.
When we live giving others what we have not given ourselves, others may dismiss or resist us.
When we teach and speak about what we are not living everyday, we may be seen as hypocrits.
When we are not fully receiving the gift being given, we are denying ourselves and feel resentment.

Being responsible is remembering everything is a gift of learning, healing, blessing and creating for us.

Offer everyone at all times, the best you know in each situation.
Listen within for the highest way to respond to each perceived need.
Sometimes we are called to act, sometimes to speak, sometimes to pray, sometimes to do nothing.
When we listen to our inner voice, our intuition we find great peace and joy-filled appreciation.

Being responsible means to be present, to notice, to act or speak and to let go and trust.

Being conscious and awake is our responsibility.
Being aware and observing is our responsibility.
Being willing to follow the voice of kindness and respect is our responsibility.
Being open to letting go with blessing and trust is our responsibility.
Yes, all of life is our responsibility. We need not add burden or sacrifice, stress or demand, we need merely respond in each moment to the unmade bed, the dishes unwashed, the gratitude not expressed, the smile that is missing. Respond right now to everything and everyone in the most loving way you know.

Bless you for your willingness,
Betty Lue

Giving Is Receiving

All that I give is given to myself. (A Course in Miracles Lesson #126)

Life is for giving. What we give we receive.
When we forgive another, we are giving ourselves the gift of forgiveness.
When we serve another, we are serving ourselves.
All true “service” is truly “serving us.”

When we give the blessings we want to receive, we receive the blessings being given.
When we appreciate another’s well-being and accomplishments, we enhance our own.
When we offer healing and wholeness to someone, we receive healing from the Universe.
When we lend a helping hand, we reaffirm, we will be helped in our time of need.

Each one of us is building the world we want to be.
Each of us is doing our part in healing the world we seem to see.
Each one of us is offering forgiveness to our corner of an apparent dark work.
It is with our light, our love, that we remember what is true, beneath the illusion.

When we are afraid of being judged, rejected, punished and even killed, we hide under layers of defense.
When we are afraid we “protect” ourselves with attack and blame against others.
Our “protection” becomes our enemy as it teaches the world to attack and condemn us even more.
Our defenses betray us and beget ever more attack and fear, judgment and separation.

We lose sight of our ourselves and others as we really are.
The cover-up and protection becomes our “self-made identity” and we see and know no one.
To come out of hiding, to let the Truth shine through, we must create a “safe” world.
We must give ourselves and others a place to heal and clear away the defenses and cover-up.

To give safety is to teach the world to be a safe place.
To have no defenses is to recognize we are safe.
To teach others not to condemn comes only when we learn to stop attack.
To reveal what is Real, we must give forgiveness, peace and love we desire.

As I offer true forgiveness, I am forgiven.
As I share my appreciation, I appreciate myself.
As I give peace, I receive Peace.
As I remember Love, I am healed.

Loving you,
Betty Lue

Cinco de Mayo

Celebrate liberty and freedom for all!
Take a moment to assess your freedom.
Only when we are totally responsible for our freedom are we truly free.
Only when we are truly free, can we see what is our responsibility in life.

To be responsible is to be able and willing to respond to what life brings.
To be responsible is to learn from the natural consequences of our actions with no blame or guilt.
To be responsible is to be prepared to respond with Love to everything that happens.
To be responsible to is open our heart to teach and learn the highest and best with everyone.

To be free is to give ourselves the responsibility of choice.
To be free is to consciously choose what serves the Good of All.
To be free is to love ourselves enough to give our very best all the time.
To be free is to live joyfully and give abundantly of the good we know.

Yes, celebrate the freedom within you.
Trust the knowing you have as you align yourself with what you know to be True for you.
Live in integrity with your highest values at all times.
Notice the joy you have when you are listening within and following the Love inside you.

Life offers the opportunity to play to the audience, the outside voices.
When we are externally referring, we fail to honor our inner calling.
Our choices are based on the approval and rewards, as well as the disappointment and frowns of others.
The loudest voice comes from the one whom we fear and give our power and our authority.

When we learn to be Self-referring, we are quiet and listen within.
We honor the calling of our heart and the place where we find peace.
We are happy and willing to trust in the Love inside, where inspiration resides.
We allow the natural inner voice to be heard and honored.

To be free asks that we be responsible for our own choices.
To be free invites us to let go of the worldly ways and honor the calling of our heart.
To be free is fun, safe and easy.
To be free is to be wholly responsible for our own happiness and fulfillments.

Bless us all for choosing to honor ourselves, our highest selves, the Purpose we are here to serve.

Happy Reminders

Personal Update:
Fabulous CA Assn Marriage and Family Therapists’ conference the last four days (4/30-5/3).
We offered Daily Holistic Renewal at 6:30AM for about 50 people each morning. Inspiring and fun.
The conference reminded me of some fun creative tools and processes that perfectly synchronize with the changes I am making professionally and personally.

Our Mothers encouraged us to take trips to Alaska and Australia. In their memory with their support, we are leaving in one week for Alaska, May 11-23, and for Australia July 15-31.

We will also be in Kalamazoo, MI from August 6-10 for the annual Dickerson family reunion and my Mom’s Celebration of life. We will be offer a workshop Thursday eve 8/6 and Ministry Reunion Sunday Afternoon, 8/9 and appts. available Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning.

Alameda Village Preschool plans are proceeding easily and naturally by helping the landlord complete the building projects he needs for licensing. We have three fabulous teachers, about eight students and lots of the preparations for city permits, state licensure and community involvement in process. Thanks for your financial and prayerful support. We joined for the Good of All make a difference.

Joy is our Natural State

When we are not joyful, we have reacted with a lack of love toward another. ACIM

I recognize that I mostly choose to be happy and I definitely prefer to be happy.
Happiness gives me energy. Happiness expands my creativity. I attract good people and experiences when I am happy. Happiness feeds my mind, my body and my soul. Being happy is the best gift I can give myself.

As I see it, my primary job is to clear away everything that does not support and encourage happiness.
This may not be your job. Happiness may not be your preference or your choice. You may have learned that being happy is dangerous and can lead to disappointment. Or that your happiness causes others to be jealous and unhappy in your presence. I have experienced that some people do not trust that I can be so happy. They avoid happy people. Ask yourself, “What is your primary job with you and your life?

Five Happy Reminders (if you also want to be happy!)
1) Love and respect everyone , including your Self.
2) See the Good and the Gift in everything.
3) Enjoy life everyday and express gratitude.
4) Give always and only your best in everything you think, do and say.
5) Forgive all mistakes quickly. Erase “yucky” thoughts, words and interactions easily.

That’s it. Try it and notice your energy picks up and you walk around feeling and beaming Light!

Loving you and me in all we do to live joyfully,
Betty Lue
