WORK

Affirmations:
I find joy and satisfaction in work.
Work is play for me and I call it “PLORK”.
I feel happy with my life and the work I do every day.
There is always fulfillment in learning, creating, giving and serving.

Work= Willing, Open, Responsible and Kind

Are you willing to work?
Are you open to your work?
Are you responsible for your work?
Are you kind to your work?

When we are willing, open, responsible and kind with ourselves and our work, we will be content.
When we allow ourselves to do the work we are here to do, we will bet happy.
When we respond to our lives with the work that is ours to do, we will be satisfied.
When we are kind and considerate to our life work, we will be fulfilled.

Life at it best is work.
Relationships, well done, are work.
Parenting with excellence is work.
Managing out life journey successfully is work.

There is no doubt about life, especially when we are blessed with good fortune, life is work.
The problem may be that some people learn to avoid, neglect and even hate to work.
There is a belief that we can skate by and escape the work in life.
Anything done well, requires work.

There is work in staying conscious.
There is work in correcting our mistakes.
There is work in choosing wisely.
There is work in making a difference.
There is work in loving well.
There is work in staying awake.
There is work in healing the past.
There is work in forgiveness.
There is work in being grateful.
There is work in respect ourselves and others.
There is work in keeping ourselves clean and sober.
There is work in learning a better way to live.
There is work in trusting and freeing ourselves.
There is work in learning to live successfully.

Life is a work in progress.
Whether living well or dying well, there is always work.
Whether work is mental, physical, emotional, relational or worldly, there is always work.
Whether you work long and hard or short and soft, there is work to be done.

Work requires focus.
Work invites us to be committed.
Work takes action.
Work is sometimes hard and sometimes easy.

When you learn to enjoy working, you enjoy life.
When you appreciate the work you do, you appreciate your work.
When you value the outcome of successful work, you honor the work you do.
When you see the gift of your work, you see it happy, healthy and holy.

So let us work together to have a really good life.

Who Is There?

Affirmations:
All I give is a gift to myself.
I show compassion, kindness and helpfulness to others.
I see the Good in everyone.
I touch everyone’s life with my thoughts, words and deeds.

Who Is There for You?

Who is there for you when you have doubt?
Who is there for you when you are afraid?
Who is there for you when you want help?
Who is there for you?

Have you always been on your own?
Have you never felt secure and safe?
Have you tried to find a pillar of strength?
Do you seek someone to rely on?

When raised in a safe family or community, we trust.
When we grow up always have someone to rely on,
When we know our parents or grandparents will be there,
We can relax and rest in their love, protection and guidance.

What does the child do who has no one, consistent, clear and certain?
What does the adult do who has no secure place or person to trust?
What does the elder do who is alone and without friends or family?
How do we create inner peace, safety and guidance alone?

We have crisis lines, shelters, volunteer centers, hospice and more.
We have foster homes, safe houses, and under bridges and on the streets.
We have boarding houses, hospitals, nursing homes and houses.
But is anyone home to really be there for those who are alone and afraid?

What can I do?
What can you do?
What can we do?
We want to give ourselves and others a safe place to relay on.

Some depend on one another, social services and communities to take care of us.
Some depend on their church family, family of origin, partners and friends.
Some depend on the TV, their pets, what they read and how they pray.
There are many who depend on anyone to love them and keep them safe everyday.

I can encourage my heart to be open to smile, listen and be there.
I can encourage our systems to be more courteous, humane and understanding.
I can encourage the media to share storied of kindness and generosity and trust.
I can encourage our churches to give to everyone, not just those who believe as they do.

We are in a time of great choices that will effect the coming generations and civilization.
We can give voice to what we believe is right and true and best for everyone, not just some.
We can contribute to the tired, the bereft, the homeless, the lost and confused.
We can give to others what we would want, if we were scared and alone.

Loving us as we contribute to the Greater Good!

Where Are You Going?

Affirmations:
I choose a life that I can share my best with others.
I prefer to follow a path of health and happiness.
I intent to ingest the best and forget the rest.
I let Love lead the way.

When You Know Where You Are Going, It Is Much Easier To Get There!

Do you know where to go?
Do you know who You Are?
Do you see where you are going?
Do you like the direction of your life?

When adrift in the ocean of life with no rudder, paddle, sail or north star, how can we go anywhere?
It seems that many folks really have no principles or values they follow.
Adults and children often watch celebrities, sports figures or cartoon characters for role models.
People rarely can name someone they know to emulate as living an ideal life.

When busy trying to maintain, is there any energy left to consider what might be a better way?
If people are keeping up with daily tasks, does anyone consider what would be helpful?
If folks are doing what is expected of them, do they stop to think about their own ideal?
Are we taught to set aside time to think, contemplate, vision and dream for ourselves?

Others watch what we do with our lives, just as we watch them.
When they do see progress, healing, learning and fulfillment, they are impressed.
When they do not see us finding happiness, inner peace and success, they do not know what to believe.
It is time we all choose our own successful and creative path to where we want to go.

Make a list of your top values. (20 or more).
Be willing to commit to live these values daily.
Make a list of your top 20 desires. (20 or more).
Commit to focus on achieving these “wants.”

For many a ‘step by step’ positive plan is required.
For some simply focusing on saying YES to yourself is enough.
For others you may want to eradicate every negative thought that limits or denies your request.
Do what you believe will have the greatest likelihood of achievement.

Keys to your heart’s desire lie within you.
Learn to listen on a daily basis to what you believe in.
Learn to let go on a daily basis of negative beliefs and doubt.
Learn to support yourself with your thoughts, words and actions.

Waste no time on complaining; it is draining and leaves you empty.
Waste no money on trying to buy false happiness or temporary gratification.
Waste no energy on making up dreams and schemes of getting from others what you want.
Give All to truly loving you in every way, every day, by giving yourself what really matters to you.

Look for signs along the way.
What brings you Joy?
What fills you with Peace?
What makes your heart smile?

You true happiness blesses me and our world!
Loving you,
Betty Lue
