See the Values Clarification Challenge Below

Remember What Matters!

Do You Care What Matters?
Are you paying attention to your life?
Do you make the choices?
Or does your life choose for you?

Do you feel obligated?
Are you duty bound?
Do you do what others tell you?
Are you distracted by temptations?

How much time are you on your phone?
Screen time and Facebook?
Are you addicted to media and staying connected?
What about your kids, your partner and your job?

What really matters to you?
Are you constantly on your phone?
Do you sit down and have dinner with your family?
Or is everyone focused on the TV?

If relationships matter to you, how do you show it?
Do you have conversations with people in person?
Are you creating space in your life to be with those you love?
Do you really care about the people that matter to you?

Suggestion:
Try 24 hours without TV, phone, computer and technology.
If you cannot tolerate it, you have an addiction.
If you find you don't enjoy sharing face to fact,  you may have forgotten what matters.

Family matters.
Our partner matters.
Our children matters.
And of course, you matter.

How about Quiet in your home without TV.
Share Love with appreciation.
Learn to listen to one another.
Play games together—board games or cards.

How about activities that teach fun and cooperation?
Cook, play instruments, sing, tell stories, reading.
Share memories, garden, take walks.
Paint a room and create beauty.

I believe we all make a difference when we give our full attention on what matters,
Blessing all of us for choosing to listen and love.

Respect Everyone!

Affirmations:
I admire those who live their highest values.
I teach respect by respecting those of every age.
I live in a way that brings me happiness and peace.
I give what inspires giving in us all.

Treat everyone as you want to be treated.
If you want to be respected, treat others with respect.
If you wish people would have better manner, have good manners with everyone.
If you want our children to respect us, respect all children.

Children copy their parents and grandparents.
Children copy what they see on TV and media.
Children copy the way their parents treat one another.
Children copy the way they are treated by adults.

We all learn from those with whom we associate.
We learn by listening to others.
Children from those they admire at home, school and media.
We all are learning from one another.

If you want no swearing, stop swearing.
If you want your children to eat and sleep better, we must eat and sleep better.
If you want a quieter house or classroom, speak quietly with no shouting or yelling.
If you would like better matters, show good manners all the time.

People want to GET something, without giving what they want.
This will not work!
When we want something, we must GIVE it and show it to teach.
With enough kindness, safety and patience, everyone can learn.

Always consider how you prefer to be spoken to and appreciated.
The work it to give to others exactly what you prefer or a little better.
Everyone, people, pets and plants always respond better when we give our best.
Our primary work to have relationships that work is to consistently treat others with respect.

When will we adults learn that bad habits and behavior can be healed and overcome.
We all can do better by changing our own habits and behaviors.
Consider how you want to be taught, corrected, talked with and cared for.
Give to others what you would want consistently and even better.

Our children are our most precious investment and asset.
They are the generation who will inherit this world to heal, manage, teach, protect and create.
Listen and learn from others.
Understand them first and then seek to be understood.

Remember our children have not lived the same life as we have.
They have different experiences, beliefs, associations, and troubles.
We must listen deeply to understand what each individual really needs.
We are here to respond to all needs and lack of love with kindness and respect.

Respecting you and trusting you will respect yourself and all, too.

Repeating the Past

Affirmations:
I easily forgive and release what no longer has value.
I know the past no longer is here.
I clear the past and use my mind to enjoy the present.
I can easily and quickly change my mind.

How to Stop Making the Same Mistakes?

Thoughts create.
Words create.
And Behaviors follow.
What we hear, say and do will recreate what we don’t want.

When we retell the story, we remind our mind.
When we keep saying the same negatives, we are teaching ourselves.
When we share the traumas and disasters, we are predicting and preparing for our future.
When we share how bad it was, we remind ourselves how bad it will be.

History repeats itself because we keep repeating it in our thoughts and our words.
Where we focus our attention, we are strengthening that probability, both negative and positive.
Our words, our memories, and our stories are a form of self-hypnosis or affirmation to our mind and body.
Stop re wounding and re creating what you don’t want to happen again.

We seem to think we can dilute or get rid of pain by thinking and talking about it over and over.

Forgive and erase your harmful history.
When we forgive and erase the past, all that is left is the beauty of our creations.
When we recognize the past is gone, what we will remember is the Goodness.
When we undo what no longer lives in the NOW, what seemed to be is gone.

We must first learn what we can from any experience, and let go of the rest.
We open our minds to learning when we stop hating, judging and fearing.
We can undo the pain and resentment when we all the sun to shine through.
There is always the choice to make to heal or continue to hurt. (“scars into stars”)

Every time we revisit the wound, the wrong, the fear, we remind and rewound ourselves.
Forgiveness is the clearing away of our self-harm.
To free our mind to remember the Good free us to make better choices.
To undo what no longer exists is to let the past go and be here now.

We often use past pain to build defenses and walls that separate us from ourselves and others.
What could you do to return to a state of natural caring and sharing and living with joy?
It is possible that the healing you seek is your choice to erase and release past mistakes.
You can use your thoughts and words to live the life you really want with ease and grace.

Each mistake teaches what works and what doesn't work.
Every encounter is the opportunity to learn to help and heal.
All choices are ours to remember the blessings and release the judgments.
We have the chance to change our minds and heal what needs our love.

Trusting us all to do the work.
Begin today to let the past be gone.
Always remembering to Love.

Mistakes Have Value

Affirmations:
I love learning from my mistakes.
I free myself to trust in what mistakes I make.
I easily release and let go of what doesn’t work.
I learn from absolutely everything.

Use Your Mistakes Well.

What are the benefits of mistakes?
What are the problems with your mistakes?

When upset or having a difficulty, always ask: What am I learning from this?
When there is anything not working, remember to ask: What can I learn?
When you are learning something, you will remember to ask yourself: How can I use this learning?
Life is teaching us with all our mistakes.

What are mistakes?
Mistakes are looking at something and judging it “wrong”.
Mistakes are something we judge doesn’t work.
Mistakes are an opportunity to see it differently.
Mistakes are being unable or unwilling to see the value.
Mistakes are what others may teach and believe is not ‘right” or correct.
Mistakes are what we evaluate as being not ok.
Mistakes are seen only from the perspective of the judge.

What you do always has value.
You can see what not to do.
You can see what to change.
You can see what to do differently next time.

Start with: What can I learn from this.
Do I choose to use a mistake against myself or others?
Can I use a mistake to quit or inspire me to do it better?
Can I forgive my mistake, erase and choose again for what I want?

When we condemn ourselves or another for a mistake, it is likely to produce fear, guilt, shame.
When we condemn we often get stuck in the judgment and learn little.
When we judge what was, we often neglect to look at what to learn from what is now.
Our work is to allow a mistake to be merely a mistake from which we can learn.

Learning is best accomplished by allowing the process to be natural and accepting.
When we focus on mistakes, we often get tense, contracted and fearful.
In fear our perspective is limited and we may miss the new information.
It is essential that we are open and curious about learning anything.

Let go of using what is correct and incorrect to judge yourself or others.
Focus on the value of learning something new.
Focus on allowing yourself to try again.
Focus on giving yourself and others the space of freedom and trust from which to learn and grow.

Time to heal our judging mind.
Let go and trust again.

Loving us all,
Betty Lue
