Quick Fixes

I love this reminder and find it answers so many of the problems people experience everyday.
  • Look within for the answers.
  • Suspend all judgment, all guilt and blame.
  • Stop what does not work.
  • Listen within for what does work.
  • Find peace and you will understand.....
  • All things work together for Good!

Quick Fixes

In a fast moving world, we want quick fixes.
With limited time, we want short term gratification.
Driven by fear, pain and anger, we want fast relief.
With impatience being our primary moving force, we want it NOW!

Perhaps we are moving too fast for our own good.
Perhaps we are misguided by our emotions.
Perhaps we have succumbed to neediness.
Perhaps we are lost in the chaos of urgency.

We depend on someone or something else to handle the problems.
We rely on experts, food, alcohol or drugs. (prescription and otherwise)
We don’t know how to care for ourselves and our loved ones.
We fear the mistakes we have made and feel too bad to make amends.

We get so busy judging and looking for someone or something to blame, we get stuck.
We lose a sense of safety and trust in ourselves, our lives and our Source.
We get so caught up in defending and curing or fixing the situation, we lose perspective.
One might say we get so caught up in the fruit on the tree we no longer see the forest.

Is it possible we are breathing life into the coals and setting fire to our own house?
Whatever the situation, we need to find peace first.
Whatever the problem, we need to handle any urgency with the intended outcome in mind.
Whatever the issue, we need to recognize where we are (survey the situation) before planning our action.

Irrational behavior causes more complexity, chaos and trouble.
Wherever there is heat (emotion), let things cool down before you interact.
Too many people jump in and keep stirring before the situation as cooled.
Let things chill and congeal (come to rest) before you do or say anything more.

Before we can find understanding, we must come to peace and neutrality.
When we are emotional and reacting based on fear and defensiveness, we perceive what we believe.
When we care for ourselves without perceiving the interests of others, we are limited in our choices.
When we cannot see the big picture and believe we are victims, we feel powerless and defensive.

When the dust clears and the fears are forgiven, we can see things differently.
When we undo our negative reactions and see our highest intention, we can act with compassion.
When we let go of what does not work and experiment with what may work, we see possibilities.
When we release our reactive thinking and choose to be responsible, we trust our intention.

Let Go and Let Good happen.
Love it all: the people, the situation, the learning and healing, the future, the positive outcomes.
Love is what matters and the rest is just stuff.
Remember: Love is Freedom and Choice and Trust in the Highest Outcome!

Loving us all.

The 12 Principles of Attitudinal Healing

  • Attitudinal Healing affirms that we are responsible for our thoughts and whatever feelings we experience.
  • Attitudinal Healing encourages us to re-examine our relationships, bringing them into the present by releasing past judgments and grievances.
  • Attitudinal Healing reminds us that perception is a mirror of what is in our mind.

1.       The essence of our being is love.
2.       Health is inner peace, healing is letting go of fear.
3.       Giving and receiving are the same.
4.       We can let go of the past and of the future.
5.       Now is the only time there is, and each instant is for giving.
6.       We can learn to love ourselves and others by forgiving rather than by judging.
7.       We can become love finders rather than fault finders.
8.       We can choose and direct ourselves to be peaceful inside, regardless of what is happening outside.
9.       We are students and teachers to each other.
10.    We can focus on the whole of life, rather than the fragments.
11.    Since love is eternal, change need not be viewed as fearful.
12.    We can always perceive others as either extending love or giving a call for help.

Attitudinal Healing affirms that we are responsible for our thoughts and whatever feelings we experience.
Attitudinal Healing encourages us to re-examine our relationships, bringing them into the present by releasing past judgments and grievances.
Attitudinal Healing reminds us that perception is a mirror of what is in our mind.

Healing Vs. Cure
(Used in the Wellness community)

1.   Cure may occur without healing.
    Healing may occur without cure.
Healing and Cure may occur simultaneously.
2.   Cure considers the body separately from soul.
    Healing embraces the whole
    (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, relationships).
3.   Cure is acting upon and is based on fear.
Healing is being with in love and faith.
4.   Cure isolates.
    Healing incorporates.
5.   Cure combats illness.
    Healing fosters wellness.
6.   Cure fixes the body.
    Healing corrects perception.
7.   Cure is the application of external authority.
    Healing is an inner process.
8.   Cure is a closed system.
    Healing is an open system.
9. Cure focuses on the future.
    Healing focuses on the present.
10. Cure is performed upon another.
Healing shares with a sister, brother.
11.   Cure manages.
    Healing touches.
12. Cure often issues from fear.
    Healing usually issues from faith.
13. Cure seeks to conquer pain.
    Healing seeks to transcend pain.
14. Cure seeks to hold grief at a distance.
    Healing incorporates grief.
15.   Cure has a beginning and an end.
    Healing is on ongoing process.
16. Cure encounters mystery as a challenge for knowledge and understanding.
Healing encounters mystery as a challenge to find meaning.
17.   Cure focuses on what is happening to you.
Healing focuses on how you respond to what is happening to you.
18. Cure rejects death and views it as a defeat.
Healing includes death among the possible blessed outcomes.

What Is the Truth?

What is your truth?
What you see is what you believe you see.
What you see is what you think you know.
What you see is a creation of what is in your mind.

What you are thinking determines what you see.
What you believe as reality is real for you.
What you want to see is what you look for.
What you fear you believe to be the truth for you.

If reality comes from within, we are responsible for our outer “reality”.
People tend to blame others for what they perceive.
People tend to make the world responsible for their experiences.
People tend to not want to be responsible for their own lives.

When we feel responsible, we may believe we need to judge and blame.
When we feel responsible, we may feel guilty and want to excuse or justify.
When we feel responsible, we may disclaim our own choices and reactions.
When we feel responsible, we may want to quit and avoid and isolate.

When we are able to respond with love, we can change all things.
When we are able to respond with love, we can forgive all mistakes.
When we are willing to respond with love, we can choose again.
When we are willing and able to respond with love, we enjoy the process.

Our lives are creative laboratories.
Our experiences are our creative expression.
Our perceptions are made from the judgments we hold.
Our work is to choose what works for us and let the rest go.

To judge what we have created keeps it in place, in our minds and our lives.
To judge what we experience is to get stuck in guilt and blame.
To judge what we perceive is to believe we are victims of a fearful world.
To judge what we perceive is to limit our choices and creative experiences.

When we can see truth as what we create, we can easily change our reality and experience.
When we know we are seeing what we are believing, we can undo our limiting beliefs.
When we understand we can choose our own truth, we begin to discern what we want to believe.
When we are able to respond with neutrality to all our creations, we can quickly choose again.

Life is the experience we have “been given” or “given ourselves” to explore our creative potential.
Life offers us infinite opportunities to undo, erase, forgive and release anything we no longer value.
Life presents a myriad of “life-changing” moments in which to clarfy, learn, respond and choose.
Life is  the space in which we can learn what “truth” really is.

Loving us all in Truth,
Betty Lue

When Will We Learn

Do you know how to be good to you?
Do you know how to take good care of you?
Do you know how to be happy?
Do you know how to love you?

When we are not good to ourselves, we tend to expect others to do it for us.
When we do not appreciate ourselves, we often want others to be appreciative.
When we cannot make ourselves happy, we expect others to make us happy.
When we do not love ourselves, we usually seek someone to love us.

The irony is where we are not, do not, cannot and will not, others will follow suit.
We are teaching those around us how we want to be treated by how we treat ourselves.
It is not until we change our ways, that others respond according to our example.
It is when we are happy and loving, good and appreciative, that others learn from us.

Start with your daily routine and self care.
·     Nurture and nourish your mind, body and Spirit.
·     Get enough rest and relaxation  (Usually 7-8 hrs. daily).
·     Eat what really feeds your body. (Healthy food that give life energy.)
·     Read, watch and listen to what gives your good information, ideas and inspiration.
·     Take time to fill yourself with the beauty, goodness and Love in your world.

When you find yourself making excuses, look at your priorities.
Do you spend time on computer or TV instead of sleeping?
Do you eat unhealthy snacks while preparing healthy food for your family?
Do you spend money on distractions rather than on paying for what you value?

Do your comfort yourself with soothing and inspiring stories and activities?
Do you talk about people and events with appreciation and love?
Do you take time for quiet walks or moments of prayer?
Do you contribute to others welfare with gratitude and self appreciation?

When you scare yourself with worry or fears, you deplete your energy.
When you neglect yourself and your needs, you demean yourself.
When you focus on what you don’t have, rather than what you have, you depress yourself.
When you criticize and feel guilty and angry, you attack yourself.

If you see you have needs and wants that are not fulfilled, it is your job to fill them.
If you see you need to eat and rest, it is your work to give yourself rest and nourishment.
If you see you need to spend time, money and energy on what is beneficial to you, do it.
If you see you are denying yourself anything and blaming it on others, stop and be responsible.

So often we are following in the pattern of those who sacrificed and martyred themselves.
We may be believing that the most loving people go last and take the least.
We may think if we are needy enough, someone will come and fill us.
We may believe that self denial and self pity are the plight of those who are good.

If the way you are living is not good enough for your children, give them a good example.
If how you treat yourself is not how you want others to treat themselves, do what is best.
If you have noticed that those around you are needy and depleted, show them a better way.
If you are complaining about what others are not doing for you, give more to yourself .

Love you first.  I Am.
Betty Lue

The more I love, trust and appreciate myself, the more I love, trust and appreciate others.
The more I love, trust and appreciate myself, the more others love, trust and appreciate me.
The more I love, trust and appreciate myself, the more others love, trust and appreciate themselves.
And so it goes, the more I love myself fully and freely, the more the world learns how to love itself well.

You Are A Flower in the Garden of Life

If you would grow to be your best self
Be patient, not demanding
Accepting, not condemning
Nurturing, not withholding
Self-marveling, not belittling
Gently guiding, not pushing & punishing

For you are more sensitive than you know
Mankind is tough as war
Yet delicate as flowers
We can endure agonies
But we open fully only to warmth & light
And our need to grow is fragile as a fragrance
Dispersed by storms of will
To return only when those storms are still

So accept, respect,
Attend your sensitivity

A flower
Cannot be opened
With a hammer

Practice Kindness

Where do we begin?
How will we know how to be kind, if we are not kind to ourselves?
How will we know how to be kind to ourselves, if we have not been treated kindly.
How can we know that Love is kind, if we have not experienced kindness and Love?
How will we know how to treat all with loving kindness, if we have not seen or heard how to love with kindness?

Let us first recognize we must forgive and let go of all errors to love ourselves.
Let us forgive all our “sins”, no matter what the world teaches us.
Let us be gentle with our apparent failures and losses, inadequacies and ignorance.
Let us undo the limiting messages of those who did not know “kindness”.

Treat yourself with love, respect and appreciation.
Be gentle and honorable.
Be kind in your language.
Be gentle with your body.
Be good to your mind.
Be respectful of your feelings.
Be appreciative of your work.
Be dignified with your behavior.
Be honorable with your relationships.
Be honest with your principles and integrity.

Love yourself really well in all things and in every relationship.
When we are hard on ourselves in private, we are hard on others in private as well.
To practice the golden rule, we must treat others as we want to be treated.
When we cannot love ourselves well, how can we love others well?

Be kind to your body.
Eat well, and rest well.
Be kind to your mind.
Think well of yourself and your creations.
Be kind to your feelings.
Listen to your emotions and respond with Love.
Be kind to your life.
Look on all things with open-mindedness and appreciation.
Be kind to others.
Forgive ignorance and unkindness.
Be kind to the earth.
Appreciate the bounty and beauty you receive everyday.
Be kind to all creatures.
Enjoy their presence and treat them respectfully.
Be kind to the nations around the world.
Respect the right of every people to learn in their own timing and own way.
Be kind to what is before us during this election season.
Vote your affirmative and informed choices, trusting in the Highest Good.
Be kind to humanity and to our worldly condition.
Forgive all unkindness and ignorance, duality and separation.
Be kind to your whole and Holy Self.
Respond to all things, events and people with Loving Kindness.

You are the Healer of Ignorance and Giver of Kindness.
You set the stage for all you encounter by your demonstration.
You lead the way with your thoughts, words and deeds.
You are the giver and Receiver of all Loving Kindness.

Begin today by loving and being Kind to YOU!
Betty Lue

May we all learn to be kind to our kin.
And everyone is Kin.
We are all family.

Forgiveness is the Key to Happiness and Inner Peace

Every morning and every night, say this prayer:

I forgive everything and everyone, every experience and every memory of the past and present that needs forgiveness.
I forgive positively everyone.
I am now forgiven by everything and everyone of the past and present that needs to forgive me.
I know that forgiveness unblocks whatever stands between me and my good.

I am grateful this is so.
Amen

Are You Loving?

Are you loving the ones you want to Love?
Are you loving or worrying?
Are you loving or restricting?
Are you loving or distrusting?
Are you loving or doubting?
Are you loving or judging?
Are you loving or criticizing?
Are you loving or trying to change?
Are you loving or interfering?
Are you loving or controlling?
Are you loving or offending?
Are you loving or getting angry?
Are you loving or blaming?

Is it possible that Love is Freedom and Trust?
Is it possible that Love is accepting and encouraging?
Is it possible that Love is giving and contributing?
Is it possible that Love is believing in others’ right to choose what is best for them?

Is it possible that fear is restricting and being suspicious?
Is it possible that fear is criticizing and questioning?
Is it possible that fear is being needy and trying to get what you want?
Is it possible that fear is doubting others and demanding they do what you want?

Is it possible you don’t know how to LOVE, because you have never known Real LOVE?

To know Love is to Love ourselves.
To know Love is to give Love to others.
To know Love is to know unconditional Love within.
To know Love is to trust you are Love ItSelf and always BeLoved.

To give Love is your natural state.
To give Love is to release the fear of Loving?
To give Love is to recognize Love under all seeming fear or lack of Love.
To give Love is to trust your intention to be Love.

When we are open and willing to bring forth the Love within, we forgive all resistance and fear.
When we are open and willing to be the Love we are, we release our attention to getting Love.
When we are open and willing to realize we are loved, we easily share the Love we have.
When we are open and willing to receive the Love we give, we always feel loved.

Learning to give up unloving thoughts and images, words and reactions, is key to remembering.
Forgiving the past experiences of lack of love and unkindness is required to realize Love now.
Surrendering our defensiveness and separation is essential to fully receive Love always.
Undoing our fear of vulnerability in Loving must be done to be open to fully receive Love.

You can unlearn the habits of the past and open to more loving ways everyday.
I trust you to BE THE LOVE YOU ARE!

Where Have All The Grownups Gone?

What Is Mature Adult Behavior?
Mature adults are responsible for themselves their choices, finances, relationships and their lives.
Mature adults do not make excuses for their mistakes.
Mature adults apologize and make amends without self blame.
Mature adults pay their bills and taxes on time.
Mature adults are on time for work and for appointments.
Mature adults learn from others and teach others by their example.
Mature adults explore opportunities for a better way of living.
Mature adults can make changes without complaining about the current situation.
Mature adults live in integrity with their self chosen clear values and ethics.
Mature adults consider others before making decisions for themselves.
Mature adults are respectful in their communication.
Mature adults create the experiences they want to have.
Mature adults are willing to be helpful when they are able.
Mature adults take criticism as an opportunity to improve.
Mature adults listen before needing to interrupt or get in the last word.
Mature adults share their best with their loved ones.
Mature adults have self discipline and self control.
Mature adults attempt to give their best and be their best.
Mature adults appreciate their own accomplishments and others.
Mature adults help their neighbors and friends and family as needed.
Mature adults turn difficulties into challenges to strengthen themselves.
Mature adults are more interested in doing the right thing rather than being “right”.
Mature adults trust their principles and inner knowing instead of following another.
Mature adults are looking for other perspectives rather than getting agreement.
Mature adults listen to emotions and listen to their mind and heart to make decisions.
Mature adults keep their agreements or change them with clear communication and respect.
Mature adults get the work done with appreciation and sense of fulfillment.
Mature adults enjoy the fruits of their labor and balance their lives with enjoyment.
Mature adults think before they speak their truth, with clear intention for a positive outcome.
Mature adults are independent and co-create interdependence with others who are not needy.
Mature adults have clear boundaries, ethics, values and live their lives accordingly.
Mature adults are respectful for their bodies, their boundaries, their families and their resources.
Mature adults do not endanger themselves or others with addictive or out of control behaviors.

Many adults are not behaving in an adult manner.
Many adults display irresponsible behavior.
Many adults (over 21 and beyond) have no role models for being an adult.
Many adults only know how to fight, threaten, argue and hurt others to get their way.
Many current role models on TV and politics do not display adult behavior.

Where have all the grownups gone?
Many therapists now see the age of taking full responsibility for ones lives as being in the 30’s and 40’s.
Median age of leaving parents’ home is about 26.
Perhaps we have created a world where is it too easy and acceptable to be dependent on others.

Have we lost our way and our will to be responsible and raise responsible adults??
It truly IS Fun, Safe and Easy!
Betty Lue

What (or Who) Guides Your Life?

Do emotions rule your life?
Do you believe your feelings can determine your best choices?
Do you allow your feelings to take over?
Are you at the effect of what you feel?

Does your body sensations determine what you do?
Are you afraid of your physical reactions?
Do you allow your physiology to determine what choices you make?
Are you a victim of your body discomfort or messages?

Do your thoughts guide your choices?
Do you let what you think determine how you live.
Do you notice your thoughts cause your feelings and your body’s response?
Do you allow prejudices, fears, opinions, history, judgments to make your choices?

Do you rely on spiritual wisdom and inspiration to guide your life?
Do you listen to what you heart says?
Are you paying attention to your intuition or inner knowing?
Do you trust your inner guidance system?

Do you need someone else to make decisions for you?
Are you reliant upon your parent, partner, therapist or consultant?
Can you trust your ability to make your own choices/
Are you willing to take full responsibility as you learn what works for you?

Do you trust yourself?
Have you discovered how to make good life choices?
Do you stop and listen within?
Do you set an intention for Good with every choice you make?

We all know what is highest and best.
We know what will hurt, offend or upset others.
We know what will block up from success.
We know our self sabotage and failure patterns.

We can feel our inner conflicts and the pros and cons.
We get when we are uncertain, doubtful and scared.
We experience the pain, tension, anxiety and agitation in our bodies.
Yet, we go ahead and do what we think, feel, and desire to do regardless of the warning signs.

Sometimes we make up that our feelings rule.
Sometimes we are determined to do whatever we want.
Sometimes we insist on being “right”.
Sometimes we are just plain stubborn.

When we have not yet learned from our failures and mistakes, we repeat the problem over and over.
When we are insistent on letting our undisciplined mind lead or our body’s resistance lead or our dramatic emotions lead, we neglect to listen to the voice for goodness, happiness and inner peace.

Consider that you may not yet realize, there is an inner wisdom within you that knows what is best.
Consider that as long as you allow the changing feelings, thoughts and sensation rule, you will be misguided.
Consider that it may be time to listen to the steadfast, patient and trustworthy inner knowing to guide your life choices.
Consider that no one knows you better than that still small voice within.

Take time to listen to your inner voice to guide you.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

Where Did We Get Lost?

How do we get out of the mess?
How can we stop the confusion?
How do we learn to be happy?
Where did this all come from?

·     Karma and past lives?
·     Parents and their imprinting?
·     Life history and experiences?
·     Accidents of fate and foolishness?

Does it really matter where it all started?
Do you need someone or something to blame?
Are you willing to be the One to set it right?
Can you forgive and erase the past and choose again your future?

If you believe in past lives or even the mistakes in this life are punished, so be it and choose anew.
If you recognize you took on your family patterns and are doomed to repeat them, learn and heal.
If you are simply repeating your history over and over, stop and forgive and choose differently.
And if you simply feel you have been unfortunate and foolish, make your own luck and choose wisely.

We are the first generation who can stop the madness.
We are the first people who can pioneer a new way.
We are the “chosen” ones who have the time, energy and willingness to blaze a new trail.
We simply are willing and open to release the old and choose the new ways of being.

Will you end the cycle of guilt and blame?
Will you provide the healing balm of forgiveness for the mistakes of the past?
Will you learn to let go and learn?
Will you laugh away the fear and claim the joy of love?

It is time we stepped up to our responsibility.
It is time to choose our goal.
It is time to follow in the direction of our ideal.
It is time to use the thoughts, words and actions of those who succeed.

We can make a difference in our own lives, day by day.
We can change the way to think and believe, give and receive, love and create.
We can enter into a new agreement with ourselves to let no one and nothing hurt us.
We can stop quitting on ourselves and one another and believe and trust and heal and grow.

We can, because we want something better for ourselves and our children.
We can, because we are wise and willing, able and sincere.
We can, because we know there are answers to all our questions when we listen.
We can, because we will not quit on blazing the trail and following the path to peace.

I am joined with you in living with and for and true to the Highest Good I know.
Betty Lue

You have options everyday.
You are the chooser.
Your choice teaches everyone by your example.
Ask yourself: If you are choosing what is for the highest Good of all?
Imagine the results of your choice!
If you feel good, right and happy about the results, go for it.

Do It Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy it all overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

Time To Stay or Time to Go?

How do you know?
Do you stay too long?
Do you leave too soon?
Do you never really get where you are going?

Maybe it is neither, but rather time to really be where you are!
Often we are staying to try to heal or feel loved or get closure.
Or we may leave because we are not feeling safe or happy or loved.
It is possible that we are stuck and unable or unwilling to make our own changes?

In all relationships, casual, intimate, business and chance encounters, there is a call for healing.
The call for healing is revealing any blocks to the awareness of love, the gift of love and call for love.
In all relationships we have the opportunity to notice our feelings, our beliefs, our fears and judgments.
We realize what separates us from others and keep us stuck feeling alone and unloved.

Usually we blame the other for this lack of safety, inner peace and simple happiness.
We may try and try to get the love we want, not understanding it is our love we need to find.
We may criticize, seduce and demand the love we want, only to be rejected, abandoned and ignored.
We may continue our pattern of getting attention with positive and negative behaviors, only to lose.

When we wake up to our self made position of lack, limitation and littleness, we can forgive and choose again.
If at first we don’t succeed, try and try again.   But never the same thing that didn’t work before!
Persistence is a valuable technique for success unless we are banging our head against the same wall.
It is important to step back and let love, trust, freedom, appreciation and open-mindedness lead the way.

When it doesn’t work, stop and do something else.
When you want a relationship to be a blessing to everyone, be the blessing in the relationship.
When you want respect and trust to be experienced in the relationship, be respectful and trusting.
When you want love and caring to be experienced in your relationships, be loving and caring.

It is always up to the most conscious one to provide what is needed, to give what is wanted.
You, the reader right now, are the most conscious one.
Stop looking for, begging, trying to fix or criticize or teach the other with words.
Simply imagine, do, be and have what you want right now.

When you quit or leave a relationship too soon, you will find a new relationship to continue what you need to learn.
When you stay too long with the same unfulfilling experience, you leave with regret and never know what went wrong.

  • Leave every relationship with gratitude or continue every relationship with gratitude.
  • Leave every relationship with blessing or continue every relationship with blessing.
  • Learn and teach the best you know in every relationship and appreciate your learning.
  • Recognize your blocks to the awareness of Love’s Presence and release those blocks.
  • Be the love finder and let go of being a love seeker by being the Love giver in every relationship.
  • Recognize love in its many forms and give love to others in the way most easy for them to receive.

Love is our natural state.
We are happiest when we are loving.
So naturally give the love within you.
And receive the love you give with full appreciation.

Remembering to always and only to love one and all with each Loving Reminder I write.

What Gives Your Life Meaning?

What do you value?
What gives you joy?
When do you feel gratitude?
What inspires you to be fully alive?

There is so much to be grateful for when you are living the life you choose.
There are so many reasons to be delighted, moved, inspired and encouraged.
There are so many people with whom to share hope, faith and love.
There is so much to live for, to contribute to and to participate in……
When our mind is clear and our heart is open and we can see and hear and feel the invitation.

When we are stuck in a rut, we take life for granted.
When we are busy doing without enjoyment, we get tired.
When we envy or wish we had more or something different, we ungrateful.
When we are judging, condemning, criticizing, we see only the wrongs and never the perfection.

Judgment clouds the mind and closes the heart.
Condemnation shuts down our appreciation and puts us in a meaningless field of limitation.
Work with no pleasure makes us robotic and empty and cold.
Life without meaning makes us depressed, apathetic and looking for a way out.

We give everything we see the meaning it has for us.
When you find your own life valueless, what good are you?
When you think you need something to give you meaning and purpose, you become dependent.
When you neglect your own value and deny your own needs, you forsake and betray yourself.

Most who read these reminders on a regular basis are those who find meaning in life.
And there are the many we interact with who lack the human touch, the value they seek.
When we live our lives joyously and with gratitude, they are touched and inspired.
When we give ourselves freely and without condition, their hearts may open to feel what is possible.

Awaken someone today by reaching out with obvious appreciation.
Heal someone’s life today by showing them they matter and have value.
Inspire someone, stranger or friend today, with a note or call, giving them kind attention.
Recognize a family member  by expressing what you see as good and beautiful in them.

When each one takes the time to give meaning to another’s life, we are inspiring our own.
When everyone does one act of kindness daily, the world changes in our loving action.
When we give from our heart, a smile, a touch, a thank you or word of encouragement, we are blessing.
The true and lasting meaning in life is found as we share that meaning with others.

Give words to what is meaningful to you.
Share with a friend or family member.
Remind one another of what has value.
Expand the meaning to your life by sharing it.

Loving you,

A praying mantis was on my window screen for a day without going away…..
So Robert shared the meaning he found.  And I found it a profound blessing.

Praying Mantis Meanings in the Realms of Animal Symbolism

The mantis comes to us when we need peace, quiet and calm in our lives. Usually the mantis makes an appearance when we've flooded our lives with so much business, activity, or chaos that we can no longer hear the still small voice within us because of the external din we've created.

After observing this creature for any length of time you can see why the symbolism of the praying mantis deals with stillness and patience. The mantis takes her time, and lives her life at her own silent pace.
