What (or Who) Guides Your Life?

Do emotions rule your life?
Do you believe your feelings can determine your best choices?
Do you allow your feelings to take over?
Are you at the effect of what you feel?

Does your body sensations determine what you do?
Are you afraid of your physical reactions?
Do you allow your physiology to determine what choices you make?
Are you a victim of your body discomfort or messages?

Do your thoughts guide your choices?
Do you let what you think determine how you live.
Do you notice your thoughts cause your feelings and your body’s response?
Do you allow prejudices, fears, opinions, history, judgments to make your choices?

Do you rely on spiritual wisdom and inspiration to guide your life?
Do you listen to what you heart says?
Are you paying attention to your intuition or inner knowing?
Do you trust your inner guidance system?

Do you need someone else to make decisions for you?
Are you reliant upon your parent, partner, therapist or consultant?
Can you trust your ability to make your own choices/
Are you willing to take full responsibility as you learn what works for you?

Do you trust yourself?
Have you discovered how to make good life choices?
Do you stop and listen within?
Do you set an intention for Good with every choice you make?

We all know what is highest and best.
We know what will hurt, offend or upset others.
We know what will block up from success.
We know our self sabotage and failure patterns.

We can feel our inner conflicts and the pros and cons.
We get when we are uncertain, doubtful and scared.
We experience the pain, tension, anxiety and agitation in our bodies.
Yet, we go ahead and do what we think, feel, and desire to do regardless of the warning signs.

Sometimes we make up that our feelings rule.
Sometimes we are determined to do whatever we want.
Sometimes we insist on being “right”.
Sometimes we are just plain stubborn.

When we have not yet learned from our failures and mistakes, we repeat the problem over and over.
When we are insistent on letting our undisciplined mind lead or our body’s resistance lead or our dramatic emotions lead, we neglect to listen to the voice for goodness, happiness and inner peace.

Consider that you may not yet realize, there is an inner wisdom within you that knows what is best.
Consider that as long as you allow the changing feelings, thoughts and sensation rule, you will be misguided.
Consider that it may be time to listen to the steadfast, patient and trustworthy inner knowing to guide your life choices.
Consider that no one knows you better than that still small voice within.

Take time to listen to your inner voice to guide you.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

You Are A Flower in the Garden of Life

If you would grow to be your best self
Be patient, not demanding
Accepting, not condemning
Nurturing, not withholding
Self-marveling, not belittling
Gently guiding, not pushing & punishing

For you are more sensitive than you know
Mankind is tough as war
Yet delicate as flowers
We can endure agonies
But we open fully only to warmth & light
And our need to grow is fragile as a fragrance
Dispersed by storms of will
To return only when those storms are still

So accept, respect,
Attend your sensitivity

A flower
Cannot be opened
With a hammer
