Addicted to Chaos and Drama?

Affirmations:
I choose peace.
I center myself with love and gratitude.
I seek the beauty and goodness in life.
I relinquish fear and choose love.

Calm Your Self

When the world seems crazy, calm yourself.
When your emotions are our of control, find quiet.
When family members are acting out, seek a place of peace.
We are responsible to seek Peace.

When the news causes fear and agitation, turn it off.
When what you are doing brings up upset, stop and do something else.
When the stories you tell bring up disturbing memories, change the subject.
When the dreams become nightmares, get up and change the channel.

Addiction to fear, anger and chaos may create attraction to violent movies, and games,
Which we need to quit.
What we see causes emotional reactions causing physiological changes.
Adrenaline rushes can be addictive.
Cortisol from lack of sleep can cause emotional changes.

We can become addicted to certain states of mind and body.
We may want to feel more alive rather than numb.
The highs and lows we create in our lives can be addictive.
Perhaps it is time to seek peace and calm.

Ask yourself to define the state of mind and body you prefer.
See to find the steps to be how you want to feel and live.
Begin to practice deep breathing and quiet music to sleep.
Perhaps you have a spiritual practice or certain reading to quiet your mind and body.

Each one of us is guardian of our lives.
We can choose the state we prefer for mind, body and emotions.
We can practice what life will be when we are upset or calm.
We will learn to choose what is best for us.

When there seems to be no options, we may need education and experience.
When we seem to be stuck in a negative or stressful state, we can change our habits.
When we are lost in the chaos of others, we can step away and create our own sanctuary of peace.
When we are confused about cause and effect and what we can do, we must check our inner compass.

Life is ours to choose.
We can choose our place to be.
We can choose our emotional state.
We can choose what we think, say and do

Calm your mind.
Feed you body with what is Good.
Turn your attention to what brings Peace and Joy.
Be grateful you can choose.

It is our right and responsibility to choose well for ourselves.
Loving us all,
Betty Lue
