Respond with Love!

Affirmations:
I forgive myself for reacting in an unkind way.
I choose to respond to all needs with loving kindness.
I treat others as I want to be treated by others.
I always receive what I give.

Respond with Love!

How do you respond?
If you expect to change anything, respond with love.
If you want to make a difference, respond with forgiveness.
If you are trying to teach a better way, respond with what you want.

Love teaches Love.
Anger increases anger.
Gratitude brings your appreciation.
Helpfulness shows how to be helpful.

It is true; show others what you want to be.
If anything needs to be changed, show what you want.
It only increases the same behavior to react by copying negative behavior.
Everything unlike love, kindness and respect, is calling for love, kindness and respect.

On the highway, in the classroom, at home or work, unloving behavior is crying out for love.
Unconscious children and upset adults need positive attention.
They need us to listen deeply and understand the need.
Crying babies and angry adults are asking for help.

When you experience an unkind person of any age….first listen and ask:
Are they hungry?
Are they angry?
Are they lonely?
Are they hurting?
Are they hurting?
Are they fearful?
Are they tired?
What is their underlying need?

When anyone is unhappy, there is an unmet need.
When you are unkind or unloving, ask yourself, what is your need?
When our needs are unmet, we usually react with more negativity.
The same is true for everyone.

Learn to listen with compassion, kindness, patience and consideration.
Sometimes you can ask directly and often the other is unavailable for answering.
We must know ourselves and others well enough to respond to human nature.
We can make a difference when we respond with love and peace rather then react with fear and anger.

Take the time to learn and respond with your best.
Take the effort to listen and offer what is needed.
Give your best and your kindness be received.
Notice that it gives your peace to offer peace to another.

I am loving you now and always, (except when I am calling for you to show me Love!)

Turn It Over!

Affirmations:
I live with trust in the future.
I turn over my life to the Highest Good.
I reach out with peace and gratitude daily.
I honor the undoing of what is not good for All.

Turn It Over!

When you know you cannot control it.
When you know it is too much for you.
When you know there is too much to do.
When you know it is beyond you.

Turn it over to what is Good for all.
Turn it over to the Highest Power.
Turn it over to what brings peace of mind.
Turn it over to what you believe in.

We all need someone or something to believe in.
We all can only do what is our little part.
We all must trust in something more.
We all can only do what we can do.

To be at peace, find something to trust.
To be in love, explore what is certain.
To be really happy, find what you believe in.
To feel safe, turn it over to where you have faith.

Inner peace is healing.
Knowing there is a Higher Power feels safe.
Believing in Good expands our faith.
Living in integrity inspires confidence.

Release the past.
Respect Who You Are.
Accept others as they learn.
Extend forgiveness for all.

As we welcome change, we can let go.
As we trust in the existence of Love, we are at peace.
As we release what is not here now, we can find certainty.
As we realize simplicity is most beneficial, we enjoy life as it is.

There is a need for faith.
There is a call for inner Peace.
There is a hope for our future.
Let us turn it over to the Highest Good for All.

Let go of fear.
Appreciate what you have.
Listen to Love within.
Live your authentic Self.

Think, speak and act with integrity.

Freedom Is Real!

Affirmations:
The choices to affirm, negate or deny are mine.
I ehoose what is healthy, happy and freeing.
I am responsible for the choices I make.
Forgiveness sets me free to choose again.

Freedom Is Real!

You can choose what to think.
You can choose how to feel.
You can choose where to go.
You can choose what to do.

You are free.
Yes, there are consequences.
But always you can choose.
Whatever you believe is best.

What is the cause of restriction?
What limits us and our choices?
How do we undo the restrictions?
How can we free ourselves?

We have duties and obligations.
We value our ethics and morals.
We live by the laws and rules.
We want approval and to please.

We choose what limits us.
We choose to be true to our beliefs.
We want to do what is right and good.
We feel best when we give our best.

We are responsible for choosing what we want.
When we are free, we take full responsibility.
We can blame others for taking away our freedoms.
We may prefer to let others limit us, so they are responsible.

Freedom may seem elusive because we are confused by conflicting rules.
Society keeps changing and rearranging people believe and follow.
Freedom may seem dangerous because limitations seem uncertain.
Many break convention or expected limitations to see what happens.

Decide what you really want.
Look at the predictable consequences.
Choose whether the desired outcome is right for you.
Enjoy aligning your energies (mental. physical, social, financial, moral and inspirational).

It is all your choice.
Appreciate the choices that you make.
You are learning all the time, to be free or not to be free.
Loving our freedoms.
Betty Lue

Forgiveness Sets Us Free.
(Judgment gets us stuck!)

Trust forgiveness.
Trust forgiveness.
It is true.
It is true.

The only way to freedom.
The only way to freedom.
You love me and I love you.

What I See Is Part of Me

Affirmations:
I forgive myself for withholding Love.
I forgive myself for limiting myself.
I am sorry to cause myself and others fear.
I open myself to be the best I can be in every encounter.

We Are What We See

How do we respond to what we see and hear?
How do we heal what is wounded and flawed?
How do we undo that which is unreal and untrue?
What I see is calling for healing and hope.

When we are watching and listening to what is wrong, we can complain.
When we disagree with what is being shared, we much refrain from judgment.
It is our time to see ourselves and free ourselves to be a helpful and healing influence.
We are here to clear and heal what in us is needing more light and love.

May we learn to see ourselves in a happy, healthy, freeing way.

May we begin to forgive what is not the best we know and give.
May we undo what is unhealthy and untrue and remember the highest ways.
May we choose to clean up my own thinking, speaking and relating first.

We all have work to do.
We may project it onto others.
But what do we do to forgive and heal ourselves?
How do we truly heal and love ourselves to be our best?

Everyday we can look in the mirror and say, How can I give my best today?
As I look at the news and project my views, I can ask “How is this like me?”
When I see similar traits in myself, I can correct myself and project my own healing.
We are here to discover how much we have in common and be compassionate.

When I am healed, I am not healed alone.
When I remember I am learning, I can be gentle with others learning too.
When I forgive my own mistakes, I can forgive others mistakes as well.
When I accept and allow, we are all in this together, I can be more kind.

There is no one who is not worthy of forgiveness.
There is no one who will save us from ourselves.
There is no place we can go where we are not.
We must all face the parts of humanity that live in us.

Let us begin today to inspire, encourage and support one another.
We are here to become aware of what we can do to be better.
There is a constant need to drop away our self-deception and awaken.
We each can be kinder and more patient with ourselves and each other.

Life seems to be teaching us to be the change we want to see.
There is more to life than condemnation and negativity.
We are here to set ourselves free with learning to be truly helpful.
With appreciation and inner peace, we will reach our wholeness, Goodness and Love.

Committed to Love no matter what,
Betty Lue

You Are A Flower in the Garden of Life

If you would grow to be your best self
Be patient, not demanding
Accepting, not condemning
Nurturing, not withholding
Self-marveling, not belittling
Gently guiding, not pushing & punishing

For you are more sensitive than you know
Mankind is tough as war
Yet delicate as flowers
We can endure agonies
But we open fully only to warmth & light
And our need to grow is fragile as a fragrance
Dispersed by storms of will
To return only when those storms are still

So accept, respect,
Attend your sensitivity

A flower
Cannot be opened
With a hammer

What Is Love?

Affirmations:
I am here to love, simply Love.
The more I love, the more I feel safe.
The more I love, the more I am happy and free.
The more I love, the more I trust myself and others, too

Love is Freedom and Trust!

Spiritual Love is freedom.
We have all have free will.
We each can do what we are called to do.
We are here to choose as we will.

Spiritual Love is trust.
We are trusted by our creator, the Universe, by Source.
We are given all body and mind, the ideas and vision to use.
We are entrusted with the power and presence to do as we are called.

We often see our creator as we see our parents.
We often believe that we are loved as our physical parents treat us.
Yet, when we feel unconditionally loved we know we are free to choose.
We know we are trusted to live life with the trust we will learn.

My worldly parents loved me, without condemnation or praise.
My physical parents allowed me to learn with freedom and trust.
They gave me to opportunities to live and learn as I was guided from within.
They set a their high example of service offering others Love with freedom and trust.

Where there is love and trust, we feel free.
Where there is love and freedom, we feel trusted.
When we feel trusted and free, we feel loved.
This love offers safety and inner peace.

When we experience this kind of love, there is no need to doubt or restrict.
When we feel safe and unconditionally loved, we offer others freedom and trust.
When we have no fear of rejection or condemnation, we feel safety and self love.
Fear is foreign and we live in peace, learning to let love lead the way.

This is Love without fear.
This is Love open to learning.
This is Love feeling safe with our choices.
This is Love offering peace to one another.

While we often learn to fear for ourselves and one another, we may let fear guide our choices.
When we let fear guide our behavior, we distrust, defend, deny and limit ourselves and others.
Learning to love is limited and we may feel cautious in trusting anyone including ourselves.
Perhaps this is time to listen to the voice and calling of Love Within.

Begin to choose gratitude for all you have and who you are
.
Pay attention and show up with Love to your Healing encounters.
Speak with kindness and offer the Highest words to heal and inspire.
Love one another in everyway you are guided by listening with respect.

Life is given to us to learn to Love first, last and always.
Life is our gift to learn to trust and free ourselves to teach Love.
Love is our lesson as we let Love lead the way.
Give Love to yourself today with freedom and trust.

I am always loving you,
Betty Lue

¤      I love you      ¤
and I know you love me too.

LOVE IS FREEDOM
The freedom for you and I to be who we are.
The freedom to live life as we do.
The freedom to make mistakes and learn from them.
The freedom to express our own truth as we see it.

LOVE IS TRUST
The trust that there is a constant flow of love,
no matter what.
The trust that, in spite of life’s problems,
we believe in and support each other’s right
to live as we choose.
The trust that in adversity,
there is healing and learning and gifts of love.
The trust that under conflict and emotional expression,
there is love

I love you and I trust you.
I free you to be all you are.

Call for Love!

Affirmations:
I forgive us all for forgetting to Love.
I forgive myself for withholding Love.
I choose to respond to lack of Love with Love.
I am open and willing to Love no matter what.

Everything Not Love…..Is A Call For Love.

Am I willing to Love?
We are here to learn to Love no matter what.
Everything that is unkind, crazy, mean, or upsetting is a call for Love.
Yes, everything that is not Loving is a call for us to love ourselves and others.

Love is our natural state.
Joy and peace also are our natural state.
When we forget or neglect to love, we have learned to fear.
It is essential for our health and happiness to clear the fear and remember to Love.

Our mistake is when we are afraid of those who are afraid.
When we copy those who have forgotten to love, we join them.
We amplify what we fear instead of eliminating fear with Love.
Our work is to teach love to those who have forgotten.

When we become afraid, we forget our function.
When we are hurt or confused, we forget our natural state.
When we join with others who are angry, resentful, we may attack, too.
Attack begets attack and fear teaches fear.

Our healing work is to be helpful and teach love.
Our way to help is to stop attacking to defend ourselves.
Our healing work is to respond to the call for love.
Our way to be truly helpful is to teach love.

Those who are afraid feel weak and defensive.
In their defensiveness, they tend to attack and create fear.
When they cause others to feel afraid they cause more attack.
Attack always generates more attack and more fear.

Look at the power of love.
With defenselessness, there is an absence of fear.
With defenselessness our safety lies.
Wherever there is fear or anger, there is always a call for love.

Demonstrate love with your speech and your behavior.
Show love with listening and positive regard.
Give love with appreciation and generosity.
Teach love with kindness and respect.

All people of all ages and stages of development benefit from feeling safe.
Everyone responds to safe encounters.
All individuals want to love and be loved.
There is no better way to bring peace and well being to all people than to extend love.

Let us all Love everyday in our own individual way,
Love, really Love.
It is the only way to feel whole, happy and free!
Betty Lue

Love Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy it all overnight.
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

Mother’s Day Reminders

Affirmations:
I am remembering Love for the sake of loving.
We, who Love, trust and free others to learn and grow in their own way.
We, who nurture, demonstrate our Love so that others may Love themselves.
We, who mother, remember the sacred sharing and caring in every way that is truly loving.

Remember the Mothers and Grandmothers.
Remember the nurturers and those who have renewed your body and Spirit.
Remember the ones who have loved you over all your years.
Remember the ones who have taught you and learned from you.
Remember those who care and those who share with you.
Remember the time and resources that has been given to help you.
Remember the ones who have been unnoticed and forgotten.
Say their names and know their hearts receive your love.

Often those who have mothered you have been anonymous.
Often those who are your “real” mothers did not birth you.
Often those who have fed you and cared for you are behind the scenes.
Often those who have consistently loved you are not your biological “mothers” at all.

Remember the ones who have mentored you.
Remember the ones who have taken care of you in infancy childhood.
Remember the ones who are gone from this earth who are loving you still.
Remember the ones who have listened and laughed and believed in you.

So many many folks have loved us well.
Each one may be in our minds today.
Give them a call of gratitude and love.
Reach out and remember all of them.

Saying their names will inspire you.
Smiling in their remembrance will touch them.
Giving them a moment of your kind appreciation will fill them up.
Touch each one with your profound gratitude for how they loved you.

We are on this earth to remember Love.
We are here to Love one another.
We are here to enjoy the Love we give right now.
We are here to fully receive the Love that has been given to us.

Love sustains us.
Love protects us.
Love provides for us.
Love gives us life.

All who remember Love are the ones who channel Love from one to another.
We are the Love that we learned from all mothers and nurturers.
We are the Love that is imprinted and inherited and is shared with others.
Allow today to be lived in gratitude for what continues to love and nurture through us even now.

“Give Love and let it show.
Give Love and let it grow.
Give Love and your will know.
Doing what comes naturally.”

No matter what, Remember Love.
Betty Lue

Let us all remember to Love no matter what!
I am loving us all.
It is love that prevails in all things, large and small.
Above all, let us simply remember to love.
Betty Lue

Truth

-->
Affirmations:
I choose to speak the highest truth I know with peace.
I forgive myself for saying what others may want to hear.
I let go of needing to be right or get agreement.
I trust myself to listen to others with an open mind and acceptance.

Telling and Hearing the Truth.

“Sometimes telling the “truth” hurts, but then it sets you free.”
Sometimes hearing the truth hurts, but then it opens your mind.
Sometimes we try to hide from and avoid hearing the truth.
Sometimes we block the truth with judgments, excuses and rationalizations.

People who love each other have often learned to be “nice”.
They may have been taught to never hurt another’s feelings.
Parents and children often cover up the truth in fear of punishment
Some folks are afraid of what will be expressed if all the “truth: is told.

Looking for “why?” can lead to many answers or made up questions.
People perceive what they see through their feelings.
People experience what they feel according to what they believe.
People try to withhold or cover-up strong or confusing feelings.

It is OK to believe what you do, without needing to explain or justify.
It is OK to feel what you feel, without getting others to understand you.
It is OK to express what is your “truth” without anyone agreeing with you.
It is OK to do what you do and then change your mind.

Everyone has their own version of the “truth” depending on their past, their beliefs and perception.
When we understand “truth” is individual, we listen and learn about others ideas and understanding.
When we allow ourselves to accept the ideas of others, we can better accept our differences.
People hold many beliefs and many ‘truths”.

For better understanding and peace in our relationships, listen with open-mindedness.
Listen first to understand others, before trying to be understood.
Steven Covey says our most important life skill is learning to communicate.
“If you’re like most people, you probably seek first to be understood; you want to get your point across. And in doing so, you may ignore the other person completely, pretend that you’re listening, selectively hear only certain parts of the conversation or attentively focus on only the words being said, but miss the meaning entirely. So why does this happen? Because most people listen with the intent to reply, not to understand. You listen to yourself as you prepare in your mind what you are going to say, the questions you are going to ask, etc. You filter everything you hear through your life experiences, your frame of reference. You check what you hear against your autobiography and see how it measures up. And consequently, you decide prematurely what the other person means before he/she finishes communicating.” Steven Covey

Consider what you want most.
1) Listen for the truth the other is sharing with you? or 2)  Share your Truth with the other?

I have discovered that what leads to the greatest connection and trust is learning to truly listen and understand.
Sometimes you can intuitively know what is being shared is deeply personal.
Sometimes you understand that they are trusting you more than any other.
Sometime you realize respecting their sharing the is healing and the caring.

It is a privilege and honor to be trusted with the “truth” another shares with you.
We must learn to respect what they have entrusted us with.
No matter how we may not agree, it is essential that we welcome the gift of sharing.
Welcome the truth and it will set us free.

Blessings to you and me.
Betty Lue
