Giving and Taking

When we take more than we give, we are wasting our resources.
When we consume without replenishing, we are depleting our reserves.
When we ask for more than is available, we have wasted what we have.
When we constantly feel needy, it is because we have not given.

The request for “more” is usually a sign we have not appreciated what we have.
When we do not fully appreciate all we are given in life, we deplete what we have.
When we depreciate what we have, we experience having less and want more.
When we appreciate what we have, we experience having more and want less.

Humanity seems to believe we can take from one another without giving.
People often seek to “get” love without giving Love and appreciation.
People often need approval because they are not approving.
People look for what is missing and usually find something missing.

Human beings seem to take from the earth and her bounty without contributing.
People seem to think that the earth has boundless resources and they need give nothing in return.
Some children grow up thinking mother and fathers have unlimited resources and they need not give.
Some believe they are entitled to take from others without giving anything in return.

There are givers and takers.
When we give more than our fair share, we are out of integrity.
When we take more than our fair share, we are out of balance.
When we live beyond our means, we are out of integrity.

When we consume more than we need, we are taking.
When we buy what we cannot pay for, we are taking.
When we have more than we use, we are taking.
When we live beyond our means, we are not in integrity.

When we have been taught to take everything you can get, we may be taught to be greedy.
When we are taught to look out for number #1, yourself first, we may be taught to be selfish.
If we are taught to get as much as others have, we may be taught to be envious.
If we are taught to be needy and greedy, we are never satisfied.

In a real sense our “wants” are always far more than our “needs”.
We have what we need when we are living in integrity.
We have what we need when we are giving rather than taking.
We have what we need when we appreciate all we are given.

Life is out of balance, when we are consuming rather than contributing.
Life is out of balance, when we are asking for rather than offering.
Life is out of balance, when we receive without appreciation.
Life is out of balance, when we take more than our fair share.

Do you appreciate every meal you eat and those who contributed?
Do you value the earth’s resources by being a good steward?
Do you pay for everything you get with your time energy and money?
Do you make sure you give fairly to all those who give to you?

Let us seek to live in integrity.
Let us seek to balance our lives.
Let us seek to always do what is fair.
Let us seek to live and give with Love.

“Your contributions bless Reunion Ministries in many ways.
They support daily writing of Loving Reminders and  contribute to our spiritual connection with those  calling for acknowledgment, healing, forgiveness, affirmation and personal Loving Reminders.
You are the wings on our feet, the song in our hearts and the breath of Spirit in the work we do for Love.

Know always that we are in this together.
Alone we can do nothing.
Together In Love, there is nothing we cannot do.
I bless your willingness to join us in this joyful service.”
