Afraid to Love?

Sounds paradoxical and it is!
The greatest fear may be the fear of Love Itself.

Love disappears fear.
Love forgives everything.
Love sees everything new in each moment.
Love holds no grievances.
Love is willing and open to see the wholeness and holiness.
Love sets us free to be all that we are here to be.
Love is freedom and perfect trust.
Love washes away all sin, error and misperception.

The ego fears Unconditional Love, perfect Love, because…
We don’t want to get hurt again….
We want to be strong, separate and not needy.
We fear losing our identity in Love.

We say we “love” to try to get Love.
We promise we will love forever…..unless something goes wrong.
We allow ourselves to be loved as long as we have the “special love” we want.
We believe in “fairy tale” love of living “happily ever after.”

How many know true perfect love that eliminates all fear?
Who do you believe you can love no matter what?
Whom do you love enough to never quit?
What will it take for you to always in all ways Love You?

“Special Love” sets us up to love in order to get love.
When the special person loves us the way we seek to be loved, we are happy.
When that special person forgets, withholds or stops loving us the way we want, we stop loving them.
Sometimes that Special Love turns into hate, fear, resentment, avoidance and vengeance.

When Special Love is believed to be true Unconditional Love, we are deceived by our ego.
When getting the love we want is blocked, we are faced with out own fear of Love ItSelf.
When we are bargaining, comparing, evaluating our Love, we are misperceiving the Truth in Love.
When we are restricting, doubting, limiting, judging Love, we believe in fear-based Love.

Love is freedom and trust.
We trust in the freedom of each person to choose their own path, learning and Purpose in life.
We let go and know there is only Love and the call for Love in all encounters.
We Love without quitting. We love no matter what. We Love without conditions.

Ego believes love is restriction and doubt.
We distrust in freedom and try to limit who and how people live and love.
We restrict and limit, believing that we must be afraid for others and of others.
We fear loving fully and freely. We love only when we get love in return.

Loving you  and me with a love that has no end.

LOVE IS FREEDOM
The freedom for you and I to be who we are.
The freedom to live life as we do.
The freedom to make mistakes and learn from them.
The freedom to express our own truth as we see it.

LOVE IS TRUST
The trust that there is a constant flow of love,
no matter what.
The trust that, in spite of life’s problems,
we believe in and support each other’s right
to live as we choose.
The trust that in adversity,
there is healing and learning and gifts of love.
The trust that under conflict and emotional expression,
there is love

I love you and I trust you.
I free you to be all you are.
