When You See A Need……..

Affirmations:
I am willing to say YES to life.
I allow my whole self appreciate and enjoy everything I share.
I am open to watch the Good that comes from doing Good.
Life works, because I am willing to do the work.

When you see a need, fill it.
When you hear a question, find the answer.
When you see something needs to be done, do it.
When you hear a call, answer it.

For each one of us, there are callings everyday.
On the phone, in our thoughts and what we know, there are calls to respond to.
If the call comes to us, it is ours to do or find the right person to answer.
If there is a need along the way, it is ours to do.

Have you ever been turned away?
Has anyone been told you “no” ?
Have you heard explanations and justifications about how others cannot fill your requests.
So you know how it feels to be turned away with nowhere to go and no help to be given.

When we have too much to do to be able to help, we need to step away and ask for help.
I have felt for the six months the great need in South Lake County for children, families and teens.
I have wondered  and looked for who and how this need would be answered.
I looked for partners and resources without clear response.

And so…..I heard……
“Why not me?”
“The need is so blatantly clear.”
“My plate is so full”.
“There must be a way.”

On Friday 10/26  we saw the mobile home across from my Middletown Reunion ReSource Center for rent.
On Saturday we rented it beginning October 1, drew plans, made lists of repairs and needs.
We moved in the home furnishings  in on Wednesday, 10/1 and the initial group of kids began.
Many more kids came on Thursday and work began to use it with joy for the good of our community.

Word of mouth, pictures hung and windows washed, energy cleared, meeting of primary partners Fridays.
Yes, we need water filter, books, back yard gardens, basketballs and backboard, clean up and more.
Yes, we want grants, donations, press releases, facebook page and website, volunteers galore.
Yes, we would appreciate your positive prayers, contributions and notes of encouragement.

“If you want to accomplish something, give it to the busiest  & happiest person and it will get done.”
If each one of us would do our share of housework, it all would get done quickly and easily.
If we would all handle our part with excellence and joy, everything would be completed well.
If we all would take full responsibility for our family, schools and community, the world would work.

Together there is nothing we cannot do.
Life is meant to be teamwork for the good of all.
Build teams at home and work, on the playing field and in life.
Get together and do something good for the greater Good.

Appreciating us each for doing what we can do with joy and gratitude,
Betty Lue
