Happy Mother’s Day
For all the women, men and children who “mother” others.
My Dad
always said, “The most important job in the world
is to be a mother!”
The primary role of Mothers is to nourish and nurture.
Whoever
nurtures you can be felt offering mothering energy.
Whatever
nourishes you can be received as coming from motherly Love.
When we are
nurtured and nourished by a mothering presence, we are blessed.
Mothers often need to learn how to mother.
When you
have not been nurtured, it may be unfamiliar to “mother” others.
When you
have not bee well nourished as a child, you may not know how to nourish
yourself and others.
Being a
Mother may come naturally to some, but feel awkward and uncomfortable to
others.
To nurture is to provide what is needed as a person
grows.
Nurturing
may be comfort and safety.
Nurturing
can be freedom and responsibility
Nurturing
will take the form of what is appropriate for the beneficial development of the
individual.
Successful Nurturing requires knowledge, skill,
confidence and connection.
Nurturing
at its best is conscious, committed and consistent.
Nurturing
comes from a deep inner connection with inspiration, wisdom and love.
Nurturing
is a gift to be given and received.
Nourishing is offering both inner and outer sustenance to
bring growth and life energy itself.
Nourishment
can be received in food, education, wisdom, communication and affirmation.
To nourish
offers a sense of fulfillment and wholeness, prosperity and peace.
When we are
well nourished, we feel no lack, littleness or limitation.
While it may be difficult to describe, the nurturing and
nourishing of “mothering” is essential.
Mothers
build self esteem and confidence,.
Mothers
model self-image and reputation.
Mothers
demonstrate self-care and domestic skills of cooking, cleaning and home-making.
Mothers
show how to love, nurture and encourage children, partners, friends and more.
Mothers
teach ways to balance all the duties of parenting, partnership, working and
friendship.
Mothers
teach loyalty, fidelity, authenticity, being healthy and happy.
Mothers
care for the sick, comfort the grieving, encourage the fearful and give peace
to the angry.
A Jewish
Proverb says it well.
God could not be everywhere and so He/She made Mothers.
Be sure to appreciate your own Mother and all those who
have mothered you.
And most of all, encourage your own motherly energy.
LOVE is what Nurturing and Nourishing Mothers are and do
and give.
Loving you,
Betty Lue
LOVE
There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
No disease that enough love will not heal;
No door that enough love will not open;
No gulf that enough love will not bridge;
No wall that enough love will not throw down;
No sin that enough love will not redeem.
It makes no difference
how deeply seated may be the trouble,
How hopeless the outlook,
How muddled the tangle,
How great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.
If only you could love enough, you would be the
happiest
and most powerful being in the world.
