Father’s Day

Thanks be to fathers!
Let us celebrate fathers and the powerful qualities that live in us all.
Fathers come in a variety of expressions.
Each has our own perfect choice, should we choose to see it that way.

Fathers are seen as providing and protecting their families.
If not yours, can you forgive him?
Are you providing and protecting your loves ones?
If not , have you forgiven yourself?

Fathers (and men in general) are often seen as strong, brave and hard-working.
If not yours, have you forgiven him?
Are you strong, brave and hard-working?
If not, are you forgiving yourself?

Fathers want only the best for their children, to be happy and living well.
If not yours, what does he want for you?
Do you want only the best for yourself, to be happy and healthy?
If so, are you going for it without wallowing in the past?

Are you your best friend, your father and mother, source and resource?
Are you willing to allow the spirit within you to guide and direct you to your Good?
Do protect and provide for yourself in the very best ways?
Are you creative and assertive, moving ahead without dwelling on the past?

When we give thanks to our fathers and mothers, we give respect and honor to ourselves.
When we remember them with gratitude for what they offered us, we can receive their gifts.
Sometimes the gifts were to learn from their mistakes and sometimes to learn from their successes.
Our parents were a prototype of what we needed to become the beings we are today.

In Vietnam, Parents Day, the family visits the temple and says prayers for all parents, living or deceased.
In many cultures, people do honor their parents, grandparents and ancestors to give thanks.
Thanks for the hardships, the lessons learned, the sacrifices and even the mistakes that were of value.
Is it time to be kind and compassionate, to fully appreciate they were doing the best they knew?

Parents are symbols of what we carry inside, the early imprinting of the culture, that lives inside us.
When we can honor it and fully appreciate the gifts, we can grow the Good within ourselves.
When we deny or criticize it, we separate from the fullness of ourselves.
Taking time to fully erase (forgive) our judgments and claim the blessings is our responsibility.

When we respond to what was with Love, we are blessed with the gifts and values.
When we react with fear and resentment, we are cursed with the pain and confusion.
Loving Responses yield positive benefits and enhancing energies.
Fear-based reactions yield negative memories and deplete our energy.

Give your love to those who have gone before.
They have given what was theirs to give.
This is our time to learn and teach only and always with Love.
We are the ones to transform the old mistakes into the New Order of Peace, Harmony, Goodness and Love.

Loving everyone, simply because we are One,

and I know you love me too.
LOVE IS FREEDOM
The freedom for you and I to be who we are.
The freedom to live life as we do.
The freedom to make mistakes and learn from them.
The freedom to express our own truth as we see it.

LOVE IS TRUST
The trust that there is a constant flow of love,
no matter what.
The trust that, in spite of life’s problems,
we believe in and support each other’s right
to live as we choose.
The trust that in adversity,
there is healing and learning and gifts of love.
The trust that under conflict and emotional expression,
there is love

I love you and I trust you.
I free you to be all you are.
