Very Brief History of Reunion Ministries

Reunion began in 1977 with parents who gathered several times a week to learn better ways to live. They were mostly students of my Community College Family Life Education class in Positive Parenting.  Their enthusiastic and consistent participation over many years encouraged by inner listening, visioning, relationship counseling, weekly family fun Fridays for potluck, singing and games, plus early morning Sunday fellowship brought forth the non-profit incorporation as a church without walls in 1981.
“Rainbow” Reunion was centered on Geary Road next to Unity of Walnut Creek where many of us attended following our early morning Reunion service.  In 1981 I leased a suite of offices on Mayhew Way where Pathways Center for Counseling, Healing and Growth was the community counseling Center offering programs seven days/week. Our staff grew to 22 therapists, interns and volunteers.
From 1985 when Robert joined me as spiritual partner and co-creator, we were guided to Santa Rosa, CA, Asheville, NC, Bozeman, MT, Bloomington, In and Kalamazoo, MI to create community holistic and spiritual centers where we taught, counseled, and facilitated health practitioners, therapists, educators and ministers, plus individuals, couples and families.  Along the way we founded the Energetic Life Balancing and Learning Institute, Whole Life Center, Attitudinal Healing Retreats and mentored hundreds of holistic health practitioners, massage therapists, educators and ministers.

The focus continues to be “Remember Love and Return to Wholeness”.   By letting go of the past and releasing limiting beliefs with forgiveness and affirmations, we open the way to listen within to Spirit for comfort, support and inner guidance and spiritual direction. While Christian in background, we utilized the teachings of A Course in Miracles as our primary spiritual inspirational material.

We utilized our own earnings for all expenses to move and build all 16 centers. When we were called to leave and move on, we left them for those who could carry on the work in the community.

We have always served everyone with classes, counseling and holistic health services no matter their ability to pay, usually by contribution or love offering. We have trusted totally in the inner guidance of Spirit within to direct out moves and programs offered.

We returned to CA late in 1998 following the birth of our first grandchild, where I was called to care for her while my eldest daughter went to medical school. For many years I was called for early morning care for my granddaughter from 4-9AM traveling an hour daily to Petaluma. During this time I began writing daily loving reminders emailed to now thousands all around the world.  Robert returned for a few years to his financial consulting career. We also moved near Robert’s parents so that Robert could care for his father and later his mother for the years preceding their transition.

I was called to part time ministry of Home of Truth in Alameda where Robert was the CFO and then we came to Unity on the Delta to serve as ministers in 2006.  I continue to write loving Reminders daily, counsel and coach in my Pleasant Hill Center and here, as well as on the phone. I teach classes and workshops and we offer retreats at our Rio Vista Home and the Reunion Lake House north of Calistoga.  And we continue to enjoy our grandchildren three in Alameda and three in Petaluma on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Reunion Ministries has been our calling for the last 25 years together.
We continue to be “On call for God and for Good, available for service through listening within and living God’s Will. Reunion really means to reconnect deeply within ourselves. Reunion is the remembering of our Oneness with our Spiritual family and all creation.  Reunion is the recognition of our eternal and abiding Union with Source, with God, with Love, with the Creative and Unlimited Power Present in All That Is.

I am honored and soooo grateful to have been given this opportunity to remember and share Re Union!
