Summer Fun

Do something different!
Novelty keeps us awake and engaged.
Doing something new opens our minds to curiosity.
Take a vacation from the ordinary into extraordinary.

Sit in all the different chairs in your home.
View your environment from different viewpoints.
See your home from diverse perspectives.
You may well be surprised by how much fun you can have!

Walk around your yard and look for everything you have not seen before.
Appreciate new growth, the different colors of green, the unique textures of each tree and plant.
Sniff the air wherever you are and notice the subtle scents from fragrant to stinky.
(I love to crunch different leaves in my hand and smell their unique scents.)Notice the changing temperatures as you walk past really warm trees and gardens.

Have you watched the light changes as the sun rises and sets.?
The colors change almost magically in the sky and on the earth.
Have you tried getting up early and swimming in the lake?
Have you noticed how it feels to get up in the middle of the night and walk outside?

What new foods have you tried lately?
Are you willing to go to a market and explore the produce section?
You can go online to find recipes and suggestions for everything?
Be adventuresome with your palette.

When was the last time you visited a small town?
Can you smile at people you never met before?
Are you willing to talk to folks like you at neighbors?
Can you give a little extra thanks and appreciation to those who serve you?

Would you be willing to pay for the person behind you at a toll booth?
Could you place your tip money into the hands of your server with a smile?
How about trying out a new nail polish or haircut style?
Have you ever tried just eating summer fruit for one of your meals?

Do you ever look for local produce, farmer’s market or go to the grower’s farm?
Have you considered planting your own tomatoes or ??? in a planter box or hanging pot?
Are you willing to grow a potato vine or an avocado seed right in your own kitchen?
And how about sprouts grown and harvested in your own home?
Fruit leather is easy to make with simply drying.

Summer is a great time to try something new.
Wake up an hour early…before the sun rises.
Take a walk before it gets warm outside.
Create a good morning stretching and affirmation ritual.
Make up a song of gratitude and love for all the Good in life.
Make a point of greeting everyone you encounter with a smile.
It is love, gratitude and enthusiasm that makes our lives worthwhile.

Loving you and me and the WE we are in Love,
Betty Lue
