Freedom Day!

Affirmations:
I hold my freedom with great respect.
I free and trust myself with responsibility.
I learn to respect my freedom by being wholly responsible for my actions and inaction.
I value and appreciate those who secure freedom for our nation and its people.

Are You Free?

Do you think for yourself?
Are you living according to your own values?
Do you honor what is true for you?
Are you giving yourself an opportunity to do what is yours to do?

Do you know what is right for you?
Do you follow the crowd or your own way?
Are you living your truth or listening to others?
Are you in integrity with your beliefs and behavior?

When we live with freedom of thought, we can imagine what is good for everyone.
When we live with freedom of speech, we can say what is inspiring to people everywhere.
When we live with freedom of behavior, we can choose to act with kindness and respect to all people.
When we live with the freedom to love and honor differences, we can celebrate the uniqueness of all.

With freedom for each person’s beliefs, we allow people to learn naturally.
With freedom of choice of education, career, lifestyle and life purpose, we will play all the parts.
With freedom to do what is ours to do with no harm to others, we awaken to what is ours to do.
With freedom to eat, live, love and learn as we choose, we benefit ourselves and others.

Freedom comes with responsibility for the outcome.
Freedom comes with receiving what we give to others.
Freedom comes with accountability for others copying our thoughts, words and activities.
Freedom comes with the price of paying for what we have chosen.

And so it is, freedom is really choosing freedom to learn.
Freedom is choosing to experience the product of our choices.
Freedom comes with the responsibility of reaping the rewards or punishment of our actions.
Freedom is the way we learn the highest and best way to live with others.

When we choose ignorance, we are imprisoned in our own lack of awareness.
When we choose harmful behavior, we are suffering the fear of harm to ourselves.
When we choose to imprison and restrict others, we are burdened with responsibility for them.
When we choose to restrict, distrust and control others, we often are left with their continued dependence.

Fear keeps us imprisoned.
Prejudice makes us ignorant.
Ignorance keeps us in the dark.
Judgments keep us stuck.

We break free by forgiving ourselves and others.
We free ourselves by letting go of our criticisms, prejudices and stupidity.
We free ourselves by opening our eyes to see and our hearts to feel.
We set ourselves free by giving the understanding we want to receive.

Set yourself free to seek and find the Truth.
Free yourself to see and know.
Be free by relinquishing all attack and condemnation.
Release your self to your natural state of peace and joy and love.

Getting Free
(By Setting Others Free)
It is not unusual for us human beings to secretly wish and hope that the people we’re close to don’t become too magnificent. We don’t really want these significant others to be too free or too powerful or too creative or too successful or to dream too wild a dream. We actually prefer that they stay small, “manageable”, non-threatening, tame. After all, we don’t want to be made to feel uncomfortable or inadequate or diminished or challenged by the boldness and joyfulness with which someone else lives his or her life.
But, until we are willing and actively desire that the key people in our lives be totally free and powerful, we cannot be free and powerful ourselves. So, here is an affirmation-prayer that may help us begin freeing others, so that we can begin to free ourselves.

I, _____(your name)_____ want you, _____(his or her name)_____, to be the highest, clearest, most powerful expression of God that you can be. I would not limit you in any way, knowing that only as I encourage you to expand, explore and grow, can I myself be free. So I fully support you in being and expressing all that you are.
I want you to go where you feel called to go, to speak and act as you feel guided, and to express yourself in whatever ways seem right. There is nothing I do not want you to do, for I know that all movement is contained within God and always leads us to Him.
I am at peace with whatever decisions and choices you make, no matter how they may seem to affect me. Since I know that God loves and supports me perfectly, I know that however you choose to be with me must be a manifestation of that divine love and support. Because I trust God, I trust you. And because I trust you, I trust myself.
So, be free, be powerful, be unlimited. And know that I, _________, want you, _________, to be the highest, clearest, most powerful expression of God that you can be. I fully support you in being all that you are.

Life is forgiving .

You are the gift.

It is in freeing and being the gift you are, that you recognize the gift.

Set yourself free with forgiveness.

Loving you,
Betty Lue
