Experiment with Life

I learn from everyone and everything.
I choose with confidence and wisdom only what is best for me.
I forgive myself for being afraid to choose wisely for my self.
I trust myself to always give myself what is truly Good for me.

Most of us are learning daily.
We find everyone and everything is a teacher and teaching, a lesson or a blessing.
Life is like a smorgasbord.
We try a small bite or huge portion of what we think we might like.

The key is to not make ourselves sick with eating what isn’t good for us.
Can you tell when something or someone is unhealthy?
Do you know when you are done?
Are you willing to stop before you get sick or hurt or scared?

When we have not learned to stop and say “no”, we may kill ourselves with being polite.
When our feelings, beliefs, boundaries were not respected, we may not respect ourselves.
When we were not encouraged to make our own choices as a child, we may defer to others.
When we are not skilled and confident at knowing our own mind, we may lose our way.

With so many options, all dressed in inviting and seductive packaging, we may be confused.
With an inability to make up our own mind, we may be conflicted by others’ opinions.
With a history of seeming mistakes in judgment, we may doubt our own beliefs and wisdom.
With a lack of experience in choosing for ourselves, we may get caught in naïve choices.

It is time to grow up and choose.
It is time to say “NO” when we don’t’ feel good about something or someone.
It is time to walk away from what is no longer working for us.
It is time to listen within and trust only what is loving and truly Good for us.

When frogs are put in a hot pot of water, they jump out.
When frogs are put in cool water and the heat is gradually turned up, they cook to death.

Are you cooking to death?
Are you staying too long in an unhealthy situation or relationship?
Are you lingering because you cannot choose what is good for you?
Whatever is best for you is best for others.

Never allow anyone or anything to harm you or limit you.
Step away from situations where you are convincing yourself to stay everyday.
Always have options, backup plans, a safe place to go and be.
Give yourself freedom of choice, so you trust your own inner voice.

Live, work and be where life is best for you.
Step away from relationships that are toxic, controlling and disrespectful of you.
Give yourself the best, because you are responsible for you.
Eat, drink, enjoy, create, contribute to what is highest and best for you!

This is your life.  Use it for Good!  Love yourself well!
