I Think I Can

Remember The Little Engine That Could?He said, “I think I can.  I think I can, I think I can.”
And he could!

How often to you change your negatives into positives?
How much do you excuse yourself for not keeping your promises?
How willing are you to choose a better way and stick with it?
How conscious are you of using the words you want to be true?

Every moment is a choice.
If we don’t like our choices, we can easily choose again.
We don’t need justification or explanations, defenses or excuses.
We can simply choose a better way.

The proof is in the pudding.
We can claim to live our truth.
We can say what we want to be.
But until we live it consistently, we are false prophets.

Let us choose and lose the ways that do not work.
Let us erase and never lose face.
Let us lift our sights to climb the mountains we have placed before us.
Let us believe without doubt and see success come about.

Life is the canvas on which we can prove our convictions.
Life is the platform on which we must stand to demonstrate a better way.
Life is an invitation to claim our power with strength and courage.
Life is the opportunity to achieve what we believe.

What we conceive is achieved when  we believe wholeheartedly.
We can choose to end the victimization that comes from feeling helpless and powerless.
We can stop the insanity of feeling guilt and blame and everything in between.
When we claim our truth and live it, true freedom, trust and happiness is our reward.

We each have a mountain to climb, whether mundane or inspirational.
We each have challenges before us whether personal or global in scope.
We all have choices to make which will change the shape of our world.
Let us together claim, “Together we can. I know we can. I trust we can do what we are called to do.”

And to this, I say “Blessed be.”
Thanks for joining me.

You can substitute “faith” or “trust and freedom” for the word “Love”.
LOVEThere is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
No disease that enough love will not heal;
No door that enough love will not open;
No gulf that enough love will not bridge;
No wall that enough love will not throw down;
No sin that enough love will not redeem.

It makes no difference
How deeply seated may be the trouble,
How hopeless the outlook,
How muddled the tangle,
How great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.

If only you could love enough, you would be the happiest
and most powerful being in the world.
