When you
have distaste for something, simply lay it aside.
There is an
inner guide in you that shows you what is good for you.
So listen
and respect what is right and true and good for you.
Children and adults are often taught to try everything.
People of
all ages are encouraged to do things others see as good.
When we
learn at young ages not to do what we know inside, we begin to doubt ourselves.
When we are
respected for what we feel and know, we learn to trust ourselves.
How do we learn to appreciate and enjoy?
Ask
yourself what feels valuable to you.
We learn by
doing what feels good.
We learn
through appreciation.
We learn
with experimentation.
We learn
what is good for us.
We learn
over time and trial.
We learn
because we can.
We learn by
watching.
When there is forcing or pressure, we tend to resist.
When there
is punishment, we take in the negativity.
Our
judgments keep us stuck in dislike and fear.
Our
experiences teach us to avoid and say clear.
Perhaps the inner child is the best guide.
When we
feel happy and free, we can see.
When we
know we can choose, we take time.
When we
trust our own conscience, we can truly enjoy.
Appreciation is a fine art.
We can take
time to savor.
We learn to
really enjoy what is.
We discover
more and learn to value.
To appreciate is to increase value.
To
appreciate is to receive enjoyment.
To
appreciate is to take in the goodness.
To
appreciate is to give gratitude and have more.

1. Focus on my successes rather than on my failures.
