Affirmations:
I listen within daily as my spiritual practice.
I trust the guidance of Love in my life.
I know I am here to be truly helpful and loving.
I let go of fear, Remember Love and Return to Wholeness.
Where
Am I?
When
we are afraid, we may lose our direction.
When we don’t
understand, we may feel confused and lost.
When we are in pain
or difficulties, we may no know what is happening.
“Where am I and what
am I to do?” is the cry we hear from within our soul.
When
we are lost, confused, unaware and fearful, we seek answers and direction.
When we seek with
disconnection, we may not know who or what to trust.
When we distrust the
answers we hear, we feel alone.
“Where am I?” and
“Where do I go?” to find myself again.
In
infancy, we cry out screaming for help.
In childhood, we may
run around searching for assurance.
In adolescence, we
may experiment taking risks and demanding answers.
In adulthood, we may
research and seek expert advice.
All
these ways of discovering the Self are naturally learned in our human
experience.
We are all seeking
to know Who We Are, Where We Are and Why We Are Here.
In our own
existential crisis, we may flail about in our desperate need to know.
In our human
condition, we often seek to find direction from those who are also lost.
Someone
must stop and listen within.
Someone knows Where
we are and Why we are here.
Someone can remember
Love and return to safety and wholeness.
Who will it be to
save humanity?
Can we listen when we are screaming for help?
What we hear are our
own cries and hysteria.
Can we found the answers running from place to place?
Our frenetic
movement does not allow inner peace.
Can we get answers with threats and demands?
We separate
ourselves and create more fear.
Can we learn from many points of view?
We confuse ourselves
by trusting others who are searching too.
When
lost, afraid and confused, stop and listen within.
When seeking answers
for peace, first, be quiet and then listen.
When wandering
around with nowhere to go, be where you are and listen.
When questioning and
doubting what you hear, be still and know within you.
The
answers are within.
Be where you are.
Create peace within
you.
Calm the fearful
thinking.
Reassure
yourself all will be well.
Let go and allow the
flow to open.
Love waits on your
welcome.
Understanding will
come.
Listening
within for allow Love to flow to us all,

Rules For Being Human
(from
an old Ann Landers syndicated newspaper column)
• You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it
will be yours for as long as you live. How you take care of it or fail to take
care of it can make an enormous difference in the quality of your life.
• You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time
school called Life. Each day, you will be presented with opportunities to learn
what you need to know. The lessons presented are often completely different
from those you THINK you need.
• There are no mistakes—only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and
error and experimentation. You can learn as much from failure as you can from
success.
• A lesson is repeated until it is
learned. A lesson
will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you
have learned it (as evidenced by a change in your attitude and behavior), then
you can go on to the next lesson.
• Learning lessons does not end. There is no stage of life that does
not contain some lessons. As long as you live, there will be something more to
learn.
• “There” is no better than “here”. When your “there” has become a
“here”, you will obtain another “there” that will again look better than your
“here”. Don’t be fooled by believing that the unattainable is better than what
you have.
• Others are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something
about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about
yourself. When tempted to criticize others, ask yourself why you feel so
strongly.
• What you make of your life is up to
you. You have all
the tools and resources you need. Remember that through desire, goal-setting
and unflagging effort, you can have anything you want. Persistence is the key
to success.
• The answers lie within you. The solutions to all of life’s
problems lie within your grasp. All you need to do is ask, look, listen and
trust.
• You will
forget all this. Unless
you consistently stay focused on the goals you have set for yourself,
everything you’ve just read won’t mean a thing.
