Affirmations:
I choose a life of learning and giving.
I use my time, energy and resources to learn and
contribute.
I forgive any neglect or forgetfulness.
I honor myself and this lifetime with meaningful
creativity and work.
Are
you in the world but not of it?
Are you
here for the physical experience to get as much as you can?
Are you
here to give yourself pleasure, fame and fortune?
Are you
here to learn, express, create or contribute something?
Some say
we are physical having occasional inspirational experiences.
Others say
we are spiritual beings having a temporary physical experience.
What you
believe will be what you perceive and act on.
The choice
you make about your life determines your giving and getting.
When you
believe you are a human being having a physical life, you may want to get
more.
When you
believe you are a spiritual being having a physical life, you want to learn
and give more.
Those who
want to get to feel whole and complete may try to have as many experiences as
possible.
Those who
seek to learn and give are curious about every experience and relationship.
When we
believe we have limited time, we can to use it wisely or waste our time.
When we
believe we have limited money, we may feel stingy or greedy.
When we
believe we have limited energy, we may use it sparingly or with great purpose.
When we
believe we have limited love, we may give it conditionally or share it freely.
When we
know time is ours to use as we choose, we can enjoy every moment.
When we
know we have as much as we need , we share easily.
When we
know we have unlimited energy, we allow it to flow with ease and joy.
When we
know we have unlimited love, we share it freely.
Life in
a body can be fun, safe and easy or serious, dangerous and difficult.
It depends
on how we perceive and use our body and our temporal life.
Does the
body determine your choices or do you use the body for what you choose?
We can use,
abuse and confuse ourselves and our bodies with conflicting goals.
Consider
that our essence, our True Being is Love itself, unlimited and powerful.
Consider
that our body is a tool, a vehicle, in which we live temporarily in this
physical world.
Consider
that we can use our body to communicate and share only Love.
We can
forget or neglect to use our the body well and waste ourselves on what doesn’t
matter.
Or we can
utilize our body and temporary human experience for its highest purpose.
What we
choose determines our experience.
When I know
I am responsible for the experiences I have, I choose wisely and with Love.
When I feel
like a victim of my life experiences, I may carelessly relinquish my true
purpose.
When I
recognize I am squandering this life of learning, I can easily forgive and
choose again.
Choose what you want to be so for you.
You are the chooser.
You make a difference.
Life works because you do the work.
Loving you,

Rules For
Being Human
(from an old Ann Landers
syndicated newspaper column)
•
You will receive a
body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for as long as you live.
How you take care of it or fail to take care of it can make an enormous
difference in the quality of your life.
•
You will learn lessons.
You are enrolled in a full-time school called Life. Each day, you will be
presented with opportunities to learn what you need to know. The lessons
presented are often completely different from those you THINK you need.
•
There are no
mistakes—only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error and
experimentation. You can learn as much from failure as you can from success.
•
A lesson is repeated
until it is learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until
you have learned it. When you have learned it (as evidenced by a change in your
attitude and behavior), then you can go on to the next lesson.
•
Learning lessons does
not end. There is no stage of life that does not contain some lessons. As long
as you live, there will be something more to learn.
•
“There” is no better
than “here”. When your “there” has become a “here”, you will obtain another
“there” that will again look better than your “here”. Don’t be fooled by
believing that the unattainable is better than what you have.
•
Others are merely
mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless
it reflects something you love or hate about yourself. When tempted to
criticize others, ask yourself why you feel so strongly.
•
What you make of your
life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. Remember that
through desire, goal-setting and unflagging effort, you can have anything you
want. Persistence is the key to success.
•
The answers lie within
you. The solutions to all of life’s problems lie within your grasp. All you
need to do is ask, look, listen and trust.
•
You will forget all
this. Unless you consistently stay focused on the goals you have set for
yourself, everything you’ve just read won’t mean a thing.
