What’s Holding You Back?

Affirmations:
I know what I want and I go for it.
I know who I really am and I live it.
I trust the Good in me and I give it.
I Am that I AM…..and so are You.

What’s Holding You Back?
Limiting beliefs?
Disappointing memories?
Body aches and pains?
Or just plain laziness or procrastination?

Some like to be comfortable.
Some fear hurting others.
Some resist the extra work.
Some are avoiding trouble.
Some still judge the past.
Some claim disability.
Some believe unworthiness.
Some are obligated and loyal.
Some won’t let go.
Some don’t know where to go.
Some feel too tired to try again.

What is your excuse?
Are you ready to start today brand new?
Are you willing to release what was?
Are you able to take your foot off the brakes?

Consider the unlimited possibilities of your true life.
Explore what you can do to make the greatest difference.
Encourage yourself to vision again.
Trust that whatever you can dream and dare to begin, you can do.

With inspiration, Love and Truth in you, there is nothing you cannot do.
What you conceive and believe, you can achieve.
Where there is a will, there is a way.
You were created to create what is good and beautiful and holy.

It matters not how old you are.
It matters not where you are.
It matters not what you have done so far.
What matters is that something really matters to you!

When I start thinking how old I am or how I should slow down, I do.
When I let my body dictate my thoughts about ability, I let my body lead.
When I believe my negative feelings tell me what is true for me, I limit my will tremendously.
I know and you know what is inside where Love is the guide and faith abides.

It is time to stop hiding from ourselves.
Stop sitting down and start standing up for what we believe.
Today is the day that begins our new life of gratitude and kindness, contribution and joy.
We must live our whole Truth and give our very best today and everyday.

Loving you with no limits, and willing to give all I am for us to be whole and happy and free,
Betty Lue

What do I really want in my life?
(Make a list of at least 20 wants. Freely write down everything that comes to mind, with no censoring or limits.)
What does your heart want for you?
What is your simplest wish for yourself?
What do you really want to have?
What do you really want to be?
What do you really want to do?

What do I love to do?
What makes me the happiest?
What is my secret ambition?
What has given me the most satisfaction in the past?
What excites me about life?

Based on the answers above, develop a short paragraph outlining your purpose. Take the three top priorities from the four areas to which you just committed answers. Construct a statement that explains what you are beginning to sense in your purpose. This can be a work in progress. What is important is to commit to something in writing. Your purpose can be anything you want it to be and it can include anything that is important to you.
