Questions….and Answers

Several have inquired about my intention with this morning practice:

Why do I write these Loving Reminders for you and for me every morning?
I began inner listening in 1976, when someone suggested I sit quietly for 5 minutes each day.
It immediately was a voice, an inner guidance that I trusted because it created amazing experiences.
I found that I could quickly make decisions that always led to more Good for everyone.

In Nov. 1998 when we moved back to California, I was guided to use the computer to send out via email my inner guidance every day.  The lists have grown now to thousands of people and many of you send them on to your lists.
These reminders belong to whomever they inspire, encourage, remind and help.

I know they help people with physical, mental, spiritual, financial, relationship issues and questions.
For this I am profoundly grateful.
Some of you would never seek help, because of privacy, lack of funds, or just plain embarrassment.
And some simply need the awakening, the “aha” moment or the opportunity to consider new perspectives.

What do I get from writing and sharing these reminders?
A handful of people contribute financial support and encouragement to Reunion Ministries monthly
Another handful of people email me with wonderful stories of gratitude and grace.
But most of my fulfillment comes from knowing I am participating in holy healing work.

My life has been dedicated to service from infancy. (Yes, there is a story there, too.)
I am most alive, happy and fulfilled when I am serving in inspirational and expansive ways I know.
I love counseling, coaching, writing and speaking, teaching and learning, reminding and remembering.
I also love life filled with cooking, laughing and games, fun with kids and watching sunrises and sunsets.

Every reminder written, word spoken and activity engaged in is a gift, a learning and blessing for me.
Prosperity comes from knowing I am participating in the awakening of humanity to truly return to Love.
Reunion Ministries, founded in 1978 and non-profit status (IRS) in 1981, was created from Love and listening within.
It does not teach people what to believe, but invites people to experience the Love within.

All 18 Centers for Counseling, Healing and Spiritual Growth in North Carolina, Montana, Indiana, Michigan and California were initiated by inner guidance, funded with our own monies and staffed by healing professionals who chose unconditional love, heartfelt service and always trusted in Good.  They were self-sustaining centers of contribution, participation, and responsible respectful co-creation from all who came.
Each one of us fulfilled our  purpose, as we shared in the opportunity to love, to learn and to let go.

Success is not based on longevity, wealth or being well known.
Success for me is purely the healing, learning, loving opportunities that come from every holy encounter.
It only takes one moment of loving connection to experience a fully successful day.

What about You?
What inspires you each day?
What motivates you to do and give what you do?
What do you need to remind you to experience success and gratitude and lasting happiness?
Share with me if you like.......
I receive your blessings whether you tell me directly or telepathically.
We are One in Spirit and One in Love.
Blessings of great Joy and full appreciation for your willingness to remember Love,
Betty Lue

CONSCIOUS GIVING
by RICH on DECEMBER 1, 2011
The Holiday season is a traditional time of giving. The practice of giving is universally recognized as one of the most basic human virtues, a virtue that demonstrates the depth of our humanity and connectedness. The decision to make giving a practice of awareness brings it out of the realm of unconscious and traditional activity, into the realm of conscious practice. It helps us to become free of unconscious restraints and fears from the past which often control us without our knowledge. When we become consciously aware of the fear and grasping that controls us we can reduce its power over us and live more freely, acting instead of reacting.
It’s common to think of giving as selfless, done without expectation of return. Conscious giving is about gaining freedom from unconscious restraints and fears. In the Christian tradition of tithing we give with the knowledge that our giving opens channels for us to receive blessings while in eastern spiritual tradition giving is tied to creating positive karma which benefits us in present and future lives.
Following is a Giving Practice from Gil Fronsdal of Tricycle Magazine. This practices involves giving consciously while observing the feelings that come up in your body and mind.
1. Do what you are doing with conscious generosity. If you are driving drive with generosity allowing someone to enter traffic ahead of you or taking a parking place further out to allow someone else to park closer. If you’re cooking, cook with a feeling of generosity in your heart for the people who will consume the food. Observe how this makes you feel.
2. Do small acts of generosity. This can be something as small as a smile or a comment on how nice someone looks. It can mean bringing something to share with your work group or remembering someones name and stopping to talk. How does this make you feel?
3. Do an act of inspired generosity. Give something much larger then you would normally to someone or something you care about or is important to you. Make the gift large enough to make you uncomfortable, to make you feel a stretch. Observe how this makes you feel before, during, and after.
4. Do something generous for a challenging person. Pick the person in your life you feel the most challenged by. We all have one or two we encounter daily. Do something generous for this person.
The Buddha says “You should feel Happy before you give, Joyous while giving, and Peaceful after giving.”
