2008 was focused on the Wheel of Fortune, which was a year of positive changes of direction and fortune, and of unexpected opportunities. 2009 was the year of the Strength and Lust, a year of self-renewal through creativity and strength, having the courage to risk and have faith in yourself.
2010 is the year of the Empress. This is a year to clarify what is emotionally important and what is not. During the year 2010, you want to bring more beauty, harmony and nature into your life, and you want to nurture and support yourself as well as you do others. It is a good time to work on mother issues, whether it is your mother, you as a mother, or clearing ways you mother or allow yourself to be mothered by others.
During this year, you will be faced with opportunities to become aware of ways in which you over-give, over-control, or push to create changes in your life and the world around you. This could cause you to push even more when things don’t work out the way you want, unless you recognize that the gift of 2010 is the energy and support to change these patterns. This year may bring some initial frustration as you experience the apparent failure of old, time-tested strategies and approaches. Remember that you cannot change an old pattern without first becoming aware of what it is and its impact in your life. Celebrate this awareness and use this energy to re-create your life and your world.

You can use the energy of this year to transform any aggressive tendencies into greater acceptance and more inspired creativity.
