All Kinds of Weather

Everything changes.
It is how we deal with the changes that causes joy or pain.
Weather changes with storms and sun, wind and rain.
When we allow what is to be, it sets us free to see the Good.

There are weather variations in emotions, relationships, finances and life itself.
When we resist what is, we may feel afraid, angry, frustrated and hurt.
When we accept what is, we may feel peaceful, loving, relieved and whole.
We can hate or celebrate.

As I watch the dark clouds roll in, the sun begins to show a brilliant pink underlayment.
When I seek the beauty in what is, the color shows me gratitude and blessing.
I can see that what I seek is there beneath what may have been judged and feared.
When we seek only for what is wrong and bad and hard, we see only what we seek to see.

As a child I was taught and encouraged to enjoy all kinds of weather.
There was no judgment, fear or avoidance of what was.
The rolling thunder and lightning was Henry Hudson’s bowling alley.
The abundant snow was a chance to be an eskimo and build and igloo or ice home.

As an adult, I see beauty and blessings emerge from all things.
Even on dark days, we can imagine the sun still shining beneath what appears to be.
Even when there is loss and seeming lack, there is the remembrance of what remains.
Within all things, there can be comfort, gratitude, blessings of release and loving Presence.

The weather in relationships is how we learn to have faith and trust again.
The weather in health is how we remember to take impeccable care of what we have.
The weather in finances is the gift of learning to build again with greater consciousness.
The weather of life is our opportunity to learn the peace and power of our potential.

We can stand in the rain and complain or step under a tree and find beauty and fun.
We can seek regret and never forget or remember with gratitude and always forgive.
We can build a fortress again bad weather or we can open the gates of joy and celebration.
We can shut down our lives in misery and resentment or come alive with learning and resilience.

So often humans get stuck and forget weather changes.
When we stop judging what was, we see everything has already shifted.
Thinking too much tends to block our freedom and creativity.
When we let go and let our love show, everything we see and feel becomes Real.

It is time to change our own tide and stand on the rock of our faith.
It is time to change our thoughts to reveal what we choose to be.
It is time to let emotions flow as we let go and return again to peace.
When we change our minds, the weather changes instantly.

Loving it all,
Betty Lue

TWELVE DAILY STEPS TO OPTIMISTIC LIVING
1. Focus on my successes rather than on my failures.
2. Notice that which I have accomplished rather than that which I’ve left undone.
3. See and acknowledge my beauty rather than focusing on my imperfections.
4. Notice and acknowledge all the times I’ve followed the optimum conditions, rather than judging myself for the times I have not.
5. Acknowledge all my wins each and every day.
6. Create and maintain an environment that nurtures me.
7.  See problems as opportunities to learn from rather than as obstacles to avoid.
8.  Tell the whole truth on a moment to moment basis in order to maintain impeccable and loving relationships.
9. Be conscious every moment to put positive thoughts into my mind rather than negative, knowing all thoughts are creative.
10.  Appreciate my feelings as a means of understanding myself, thus directing and creating my reality.
11. Continue to forgive myself and others as a means of creating a state of Grace.
12. Fill my life with joy and ecstasy by practicing daily the art and skill of verbally expressing my gratitude for all that I have.
