What Do You Call Love?

Affirmations:
(These affirmations are for all of us, if you choose to use them, to clear the blocks to your awareness of the Love within You!)
What I seek, I AM.
What I Am, I give.
What I give, I have.
What I have, I AM.
Love is the Truth of  What I AM.
I Am Love, created by Love, for the sole purpose of Loving.  (And so are YOU!)

Do you see Love as demand and threat?
You better do it or else……If you are going to treat me this way, I will leave…….or hurt you……
When functioning at this survival level of loving, people believe love is showing obedience and respect.
They often use intimidation to get their needs met, thinking this is being loved by the other.

Do you see Love as duty and obligation?
I really need you to love me because you are family. If you truly loved me, you would…….
Look at how much I have done for you.  Can’t you do this for me?
When believing in this type of bartering, often sacrifice and martyrdom, co dependence occurs.
They often stay together because there is neediness and dependency and guilt to bind the relationship.

Do you believe Love is romance and passion?
I am so in love with you.  I cannot imagine being happy without you in my life!
You make me feel so good and alive and strong and beautiful.
This way of loving is temporary and loses its energy if the other is sick, doesn’t feel at their best, or the excitement wears out.
They often keep trying new ways to keep the passion and intimacy alive.

The concept of falling out of love is really “I no longer love myself when I am in your presence.”
This usually arises when one feels guilty or resentful for how they cannot forgive  the past and love again.
Often people criticize and judge, hurt and feel hurt, resent and demand, expect and feel cheated.
Often people do not allow others to have different values, needs, expressions and behaviors.

These are often  the fantasized expectations of love:
When we love, we will make the other happy.
When we love, they will make us happy.
When we love, we will get what we want.
When we love, they will always be there for and with us.
When we love, we will never lose our desire to be with them.
When we love, we will think, speak and behave with respect.
When we love, we will put the other first.
When we love, we can count on the other to be at their best.
When we love, they will make us feel like the best.
Etc. Etc. Etc.

Make a list of your own expectations.
You will see how and why your immature beliefs about Love may hurt.

A highest level of Love is freeing and trusting.
Love is trust and freedom.
Love is not distrust and restriction.
Love is not doubting and questioning, limiting and denying.
Love, the most inspired and conscious Love, is allowing each person to live their Truth and Purpose.

Love is encouraging those you love to do  and be what brings them happiness and peace.
Love is honoring the best in every way without restricting them to do for you.
Love is giving for the pure joy of giving. without expectation and hesitation.
Love is trusting yourself to be free to follow your heart with your own values and inner guidance.

Unconditional Love is often most experienced with our children, and this is indeed what True Love is.
Love that lasts beyond all things is patient and kind.
Love that is Divine is pure and without needs and restrictions.
Love that is eternal has no barriers, no limitation and is steadfast and true.

When we can love ourselves unconditionally, we will easily love others as they are as well.
When we can give to others unconditionally, we will trust ourselves and free ourselves and others.
When we can be the safe and loving, trusting and freeing place, we are at peace.
As we come to know Love is our natural state, we learn to forgive and free ourselves to love no matter what!

I am loving you always in every way I am aware.
My Joy lies in always being in Love and sharing the Love I AM,
Betty Lue

“Love me without fear.
Trust me without questioning.
Need me without demanding.
Want me without restrictions.
Accept me without change.
Desire me without inhibitions.
For a love so free . . . Will never fly away.”

The 5 Languages of Fear
or
The 5 Calls for Love
An intuitive look at some possible explanations for unacceptable behavior. According to A Course in Miracles, everything is either a gift of love or a call for love. The 5 Languages of Love (Dr. Gary Chapman) teach us more about how to effectively give and receive the gifts of love, but what about responding to the calls for love? The answer is always to “give love”, but that is only possible after we have stopped reacting to the call as a personal attack. The first step is awareness.
Awareness with love is healing.
When people are in fear or pain (and needing love), they are not always sensitive, aware, articulate, considerate or even caring. They will either see you as the cause of their current dilemma or just a handy (loving) person they can strike out at so they won’t be alone in their misery. They will either deprive you of what they know you value most or what they, themselves, value most.

Here are 5 possible disguises of the call for love.
1.    The Put-Down—This includes complaining, anger, blame, guilt, insults, destructive words. If Words of Affirmation are a primary love language for you, hearing someone else’s pain directed at you can be especially hurtful.
2.    The Cold Shoulder—This includes being pre-occupied, too busy, multi-tasking, distracted, walking away, ignoring, threatening to leave or end the relationship, shutting you out. If Quality Time is a primary love language for you, being left alone or abandoned can be devastating.
3.    The Take-Away—This includes taking or breaking things, stealing, constantly saying “We can’t afford it”, not giving or sharing, being selfish. If Receiving Gifts is a primary love language for you, being deprived will be hurtful way out of proportion to the value of the actual gift itself.
4.    The Complication—This includes forgetting to do things, being too busy to help out, refusing to help out, being destructive, making messes, causing problems, adding complications and making more work. If Acts of Service are a primary love language for you, the burden of having to do more or do it all yourself leaves you feeling hurt and resentful.
5.    The Hurt—This includes hitting, hurting, outside affairs and cheating, withholding/denying touch and affection, and all acts of physical violence. If Physical Touch is a primary love language for you, either destructive touching or touch deprivation can cause you to emotionally wither and want to withdraw from the world.

Keys to responding with love:
1.    Don’t take it personally. It’s not about you. It’s about them. If you take it personally, they may think it actually is about you and fail to (eventually) take responsibility for their condition.
2.    Take care of yourself. You may need to actually remove yourself from the situation in order to stop getting hurt and to get clear. If you let them hurt you, you create either conscious or unconscious guilt on their part, which will cause them to either attack more vigorously or withdraw completely.
3.    Listen within for guidance. Once you can bring yourself to peace and neutrality, listen to your heart about how to respond. This is clearly a call for love. What does the other person actually need or want? What will be the most helpful and the most easily received by them. Sometimes love and forgiveness is best expressed in person and sometimes it is more effective from a distance. Do you need to speak, write, think, pray, act?
4.    Do what you hear and trust it is good. Get on with your life and keep loving yourself so you can continue to love others.
Robert Waldon, Feb. 2012

The 5 Love Languages

What if you could say or do just the right thing guaranteed to make that special someone feel loved? The secret is learning the right love language! Millions of couples have learned the simple way to express their feelings and bring joy back into marriage: The 5 Love Languages, Dr. Gary Chapman’s New York Times bestseller!
Words of Affirmation —Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
Quality Time —In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing says, “I love you,” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes your significant other feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.
Receiving Gifts —Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you. A missed birthday, anniversary, or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous—so would the absence of everyday gestures.
Acts of Service —Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.
Physical Touch —This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive.

Love Is Our Natural State

Affirmations:
I choose to let go of fear, conflict guilt and resentment.
I listen within and life is safe, fun and easy.
I trust and free myself and others to fully be who we are.
I prefer to be loving and kind, forgiving and peaceful, happy and healthy.

“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from
your own actions.” ~Dalai Lama

Love is our natural state.
Peace is our natural state.
Happiness is our natural state.
Health is our natural state.

So what has gone wrong?
When we are afraid of being wrong,  or getting hurt, we block our awareness of Love.
When we are conflicted about where to go, what to do, what is right, we lose our Peace.
When we are trying to make others happy, so we can be happy, we lose our own Happiness.
When we are judging and blocking the flow of positive healthy happy energy, we have dis-ease.

It is our work, our vocation, to remove all blocks to the awareness of Love and Peace within.
It is ours to do whatever it takes to realign ourselves with our own natural Wholeness and Joy.
This is high level wellness.
This is high functioning conscious respectful living.

When we seek to get happy, we forget to remove the blocks to realizing our natural state.
When we seek to get love, we forget to forgive all that keeps us from giving love.
When we seek to get well, we forget to let go of what depletes, drains, and causes dis-ease.
When we seek to get peaceful, we forget how to clear the way to living at peace within.

Seeking is not finding.
Getting is not giving.
Trying is not doing.
Being happy, loving, peaceful and healthy is natural.
When we are not experiencing our natural state, something has gone wrong.

Quick fixes cover the apparent problem or pain and then dissipate.
Getting love, peace and happiness from a pill, drug or someone else is temporary.
We are here to be at cause in our lives.
We are here to eliminate all the blocks to the natural awareness of our authentic Self.

What does it take to remember our natural state?
It usually requires letting go of what the world teaches.
It usually asks that we forgive all our mistakes and the mistakes of others.
It usually invites us to see things differently.

The learned worldly self or ego will rebel at this change in direction.
The ego will likely what you to keep blaming, criticizing, judging and being afraid.
The ego distrusts, restricts, limits, doubts, compares, defends and tries to overpower what seems to be wrong.
Only accessing the Love within and letting it lead will change the direction of your life forever.

Love waits for your welcome.
Love encourages giving for the sheer joy of giving.
Love is a natural to those who trust.
Love is a way of living and giving with gratitude.

Who you love and how you love is your choice.
Where you live and what you do is your choice.
What you give and when you give is your choice.
When we realize how we love others is a gift to ourselves, we choose to love, only love.

This is my choice.
What about You?
Betty Lue

¤      I love you      ¤

LOVE IS FREEDOM
The freedom for you and I to be who we are.
The freedom to live life as we do.
The freedom to make mistakes and learn from them.
The freedom to express our own truth as we see it.

LOVE IS TRUST
The trust that there is a constant flow of love,
no matter what.
The trust that, in spite of life’s problems,
we believe in and support each other’s right
to live as we choose.
The trust that in adversity,
there is healing and learning and gifts of love.
The trust that under conflict and emotional expression,
there is love

I love you and I trust you.
I free you to be all you are.

Renew Your Spirit!

Affirmations:
I forgive myself for denying myself and others.
I am alive alert and enthusiastic.
Everyday I awaken with wonder about what I will learn.
I love my life and my life loves me.
I freely choose what is highest and best for me.

What do you do to renew your Spirit?
What do you do to inspire yourself?
What do you do to feel enthusiasm?
What do you do to be happy every day?

Your life energy is your responsibility.
Only you know how and when to fill your tank.
Only you can make the choices which benefit you.
Only you can assess and address what inspires you.

You have a life and it is yours to use well.
You have a mind and it is yours to inspire.
You have a body and it is yours to keep fit and energized.
You have emotions and they are yours to make happy.

This is your job to explore, observe and choose what works.
Nature, meditation, recreation, creativity, inspiration, contribution may work.
Exercise, competition, achievement, education, empowerment, building may work.
Relationship, intimacy, connection, partnership, healing, listening, quiet may work.

Music and art, writing and design, varying forms of creating beauty inspire and renew.
Finding someone to love and be loved, creating a family and connection may inspire and renew.
Healing and service, caring and helping, making people happy may inspire and renew.
Introspection and contemplation, wisdom and knowledge, prayer and meditation may inspire and renew.

Do you know what works for you?
Hunting and fishing, hiking and outdoor adventures, camping and rock climbing may inspire and renew.
Building a home, planting a garden, restoring antiques, making old things new may inspire and renew.
Creating a party, planning a wedding, rearranging your living room may inspire and renew.

May these ideas begin to inspire you to renew your Spirit.
May you research the various ways you have chosen to give yourself respite and rest.
May you look at the high points or moments in life when you felt most alive and aware.
May you see what fills your mind with appreciation and makes your heart sing.

Each one of us needs to have new beginnings and moments of sheer delight.
Each one of us must find our own way to gratitude and praise, feeling delighted to be alive.
Each one of us deserves to feel joyful and at home, safe and trusting, free and happy just to be.
Everyone can find our own way to renew our spirit and be alive again with love in our hearts.

Our gift to one another is to free ourselves to live with Spirit.
When we give ourselves regular renew and daily inspirations, we will encourage others to do the same.
When we deny ourselves what is needed, we deplete ourselves and often become resentful and negative.
Let us forgive ways we have depleted and denied ourselves and freely give to ourselves and others what inspires, delights and enlivens us to live on purpose and in love.

Loving one and all,

Betty Lue

Affirmations:
Love is freedom and trust.
I free you and me to see things differently.
I trust us each to have our own purpose, practice and process.
I no longer need conformity to experience harmony.
Life works when I am open, willing and allowing.

Are you willing to trust “It will work our all right.”?
Are You willing to do the work?

Are you willing to honor your calling?

So many just try to get by.

It takes confidence to be extraordinary.
It requires courage to stand up for your self.
It requires strength of conviction to be true to your own values.
We can step away from negativity and choose to believe in our special place.

What will it be for you today?
Stop fighting or arguing.
State your opinion once and then listen to others.
Learn to respect all differences, including your own.

Stop trying to get others’ approval and agreement.
Clarify what is true for you and then live it.
Accept and allow each one the same freedom you want.
Respect others for following their own path of learning.

Live in integrity with your beliefs.
Find your own mission, purpose and values.
Honor what is true for you.
Stop interfering in others’ path.

Listen within and choose what is highest and best for you.
Respect your way for you, but let go of choosing for others.
Tell your truth without needing agreement.
Trust that each one is honoring their own choices.

Respect means to allow everyone to have their own mission, purpose, values and beliefs.
I trust each person to choose what is best for themselves.
I honor my own choices and will not interfere with others.
I love you by trusting your path and freeing you to be true to You.
Betty Lue

There is no better gift than to free yourself and others to fulfill their destiny and live their purpose!

Getting Free
(By Setting Others Free)

It is not unusual for us human beings to secretly wish and hope that the people we’re close to don’t become too magnificent. We don’t really want these significant others to be too free or too powerful or too creative or too successful or to dream too wild a dream. We actually prefer that they stay small, “manageable”, non-threatening, tame. After all, we don’t want to be made to feel uncomfortable or inadequate or diminished or challenged by the boldness and joyfulness with which someone else lives his or her life.
But, until we are willing and actively desire that the key people in our lives be totally free and powerful, we cannot be free and powerful ourselves. So, here is an affirmation-prayer that may help us begin freeing others, so that we can begin to free ourselves.

I, _____(your name)_____ want you, _____(his or her name)_____, to be the highest, clearest, most powerful expression of God that you can be. I would not limit you in any way, knowing that only as I encourage you to expand, explore and grow, can I myself be free. So I fully support you in being and expressing all that you are.
I want you to go where you feel called to go, to speak and act as you feel guided, and to express yourself in whatever ways seem right. There is nothing I do not want you to do, for I know that all movement is contained within God and always leads us to Him.
I am at peace with whatever decisions and choices you make, no matter how they may seem to affect me. Since I know that God loves and supports me perfectly, I know that however you choose to be with me must be a manifestation of that divine love and support. Because I trust God, I trust you. And because I trust you, I trust myself.
So, be free, be powerful, be unlimited. And know that I, _________, want you, _________, to be the highest, clearest, most powerful expression of God that you can be. I fully support you in being all that you are.

Complete 2013

Use the 30 day program below and notice the positive changes.

Affirmations:
I am open and willing to heal, learn and grow.
I forgive myself for criticizing, complaining and condemning.
I release my fear and soothe myself with loving encouragement.
I now enjoy the blessing in my life and trust my path and purpose.

Complete 2013 with Lessons Learned, Blessings and Gratitude.
(What we resist learning will show up repeatedly, until we are willing to learn!)

No matter what the year has been, it can be valued for its gifts and lessons.
No matter where you are in your life, every season offers what you need.
No matter what you think, life is your gift for you to have and hold.
No matter what you want, you have given and received what you value.

Taking time to observe and receive the gifts of each time in your life opens the door to appreciation.
When we fully appreciate what has been, we are renewed in mind and heart to continue the journey.
When life is approached with a willingness to receive the wisdom  of learning, all benefit.
When relationships are invited with openness to give what we have learned, all are blessed.

Each one has tales to tell.
Each one has gifts to share.
Each one has a calling to live.
Each one has love to give.

Life is a miracle of interaction.
Every part is essential to the greater whole.
And the circle is incomplete, when anyone is missing.
When you are the One, you play your part with gratitude and grace.

What are you here to do and be and have?
What are your gifts and talents to be shared?
What is your calling, your teaching and your story?
Who are you to love and love again and again?

There is no end to our living here until we are complete.
There is only to trust ourselves to explore until we know.
There is always the freedom to allow ourselves to fully be.
And there it is, the trust and freedom to Love, to enjoy, to play, to do life our own way.

And you only you can know which way to grow.
Only you can reveal what you need to heal.
Only you can see what you need to be free.
Only you can forgive  and forget what you regret.

Each one of us has our work to do.
Every one has opportunities, possibilities and vision.
We all have a special place in the circle of life.
When we are willing, we will step up and choose.

Show up and pay attention in your life.
Let all upsets be wakeup calls.
Write down your thoughts and feelings, choices and appreciation.
Share only the highest Truth which holds wisdom and Love.
Learn to do no harm with your words and actions.
Remember what you give is what you receive.
Trust all things work for Good when you intend for them to be helpful.
Recognize your intention is more important that the exact words and deeds.
Give and receive the best and forgive the rest.
Let go of expecting others to be and do what you want.
Your life is your responsibility , so live it well.

Always choosing the best I know to think and feel and live,
Betty Lue

Daily Practice:

Begin each morning with a pad of lined paper and a pen.
Write and say 30 forgivenesses as they come to mind.
Simply write “I forgive”…and let the rest just come from within.
(No need to understand or feel anything.)
I forgive you for being mean.
I forgive myself for letting anyone hurt me.
I forgive my body’s limitation.
I forgive myself for being late.
I forgive everything.
Make the sound “AAAH” for 1minutes.
Imagine that you are opening your mind.
Now write and say 30 Choices.
I choose to be happy.
I choose to be free.
I choose to do what I love.
I choose to forgive….

In the Evening (before bed)
Write and say 30 Gratitudes
I appreciate the energy I have.
I love being happy.
I am grateful I have you in my life.
I thank God.
Make the  sound “OM” the Universal sound for Love and God for 1 minute.

PS Even a few of each is better than none.
Do what you can and trust it is working.
Even when you are driving to work, you can do this process aloud.
The key is your willingness to DO THE WORK!

Loving You always,

Emotions Do Not Tell The Whole Truth

Affirmations:
I easily and safely release negativity and choose for the Good.
My mind now erases all that is not wholly true and loving.
I now choose my thoughts, feelings and responses with wisdom and love.
I am clear on the outcome I seek and choose only what works.

See Robert’s “Week After Christmas” on the sidebar.
Plus the 30 day Program for Healing and Enlightenment.

Emotions are meant to be energy signals.
Emotions are energy moving through us.
Emotions follow thoughts, both conscious and unconscious.
Emotions are meant to wake us up to what is bothering or blessing us.

Do not use emotions to make decisions.
Do not use emotions to be your guide.
Do not use emotions to be your Truth.
Do not get stuck with the same emotion.

Emotions are meant to flow when we let go.
Emotions are an experience of what we believe.
Emotions do not need to have a name or reason.
Emotions are like clouds in the sky floating by.

We have been taught by many in the psychological realm that emotions are true.
Emotions are true in the moment, but need not stay the same unless we value them.
When we value our feeling and focus on it, it will stay as long as it is valued.
When we make our feelings “ right”, we tend to justify, explain and hold onto them.

When we allow emotions to lead, they may lead astray.
When we use our feelings as guides, we may be their hostage.
When we think emotions are in charge, we may get confused.
When we make up that our emotions know our truth, we may get stuck.

First the thought, then comes feeling.
First we remember, then comes the emotional experience.
First we have the memory, and the physiological response.
What we think begets the emotional and physical reaction.

Perhaps it is time to choose our thoughts.
Perhaps it is time to be in charge of what we think and feel and do.
Perhaps we are both cause and the effect in what we choose to be.
It is time to erase the negative and affirm the positive to create our experience.

Our emotions can lead us to hurt and grief, anger and regret.
Emotions can tempt us to choose what is not helpful and good.
Emotions can guide us to act in harmful, negative and hurtful ways.
Let’s begin to discipline our thoughts and feelings and activities to for Good.

An undisciplined mind may lead to uncontrolled feelings and our of control behavior.
A disciplined mind can lead to empowering feelings and positive behaviors.
We are the master of our fate and the captain of our destiny.
Turn over your thoughts to Higher Power and Listen within for Positive Guidance.

If this is helpful, begin to use forgiveness and affirmations to clean up “stinking thinking”.
If you want to do better and feel better, use the power of your thoughts and attitude.
If you want to experience a more positive and happier life, begin to use my 30 day program.
If you enjoy the adventure of letting feelings rule, then forget all this and see what happens.

I know that children have temper tantrums to get what they want.
I know adults get ugly, violent and threatening to demonstrate their passion.
I know that humanity kills in the name of anger and fear.
I know we all can do better than this.

Loving you as you remember and learn to love you and others well.

There we offer a retreat home across the street, the Hermitage, where individuals and families can stay.
See www.ReunionLakeHouse.org <http://www.ReunionLakeHouse.org> for details about the Hermitage. We have guests there on request, but mostly it is a quiet place for renewal in a beautiful safe setting. You can find the application on the website.
We also offer Reunion Retreats for small groups in our home, and they are lodged in the Hermitage.

Our Positive Living Center is 3 minutes from our home on Highway 29. www.PositiveLivingCenter.org <http://www.PositiveLivingCenter.org
We offer classes and groups, counseling and coaching, holistic healing and more with our health providers.
On January 3, we begin a weekly Friday Evening Reunion All Faith Fellowship with meditation and music, speakers and sharing a variety of programs and topics, including drumming, healing, creative expression.
This Center serves County of Lake with its mountains and lakes and a population of only 63,000 people.
The beauty, quiet and dark night skies are inspiring with no major cities, no industry or freeways. Rural with an ancient history. Plus Lake County has the cleanest air in California and very simple living.
The Lake House is our permanent home, even thought we continue to serve in the East Bay and Hawaii.

Betty Lue continues to offer Daily Holistic Renewal and T’ai Chi Chih, a moving meditation and form of Qi Gong at 6:30 AM every morning at the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Annual Spring conference. She facilitates a mid-day integration session for the participants to share and apply what is learned to themselves and their practice.

Our next Hawaii Retreat is April 5-8:“Time for You to Love You” in Kona, Hawaii and all are invited.
Robert and I are in Hawaii usually twice annually for about 12 days. And will be there again Oct. 2014.
It is our time to write, and vision. We listen within and vision, planning for what is to come.
This year we join 3-5 grandkids (their first time) and their parents in Kauai for two weeks, Jun 24-July 8, 2014

This year one primary project has been to edit and prepare four books for publication. Healing Reminders, Pocketbook of Affirmations, Family Reminders and Robert’s Collection of Writings (Tao of Robert, Voice Within, Anthology of Love, Serving Littleness and several others).  Relationship Reminders was published earlier this year and is available on Amazon.com <http://Amazon.com> , both as a paperback and an E-book.

We have a great organic raised bed vegetable garden, plus have begun our small fruit tree orchard.
It is all a grand experiment with nature, since we have not gardened for years and this time, very differently.
Robert and Holly Hand, dear friend and Reunion minister have built two labyrinths, one behind the Hermitage and one at the Positive Living Center. Our Winter solstice celebration included clarifying our gift to our world as we walked the labyrinth in the moonlight and placed our rock around the peace pole.

Life is very full, active and inspiring as you can tell.  We still sit down side by side every evening to read, watch our favorite inspiring and happy shows, holding hands and loving each other well. We continue to eat an organic vegetarian diet, with now almost entirely vegan and gluten free. We are inspired by living in nature and so appreciate our 6AM  2 hr. drive every Sunday to our Unity Center in Brentwood for Miracles Group, Sunday Services with workshop and clients all afternoon. We see clients at both Centers all day Monday and on Tuesday mornings and return to our Reunion Lake Home on Tuesday afternoons.  While it is our routine, there continue to be many delightful diversions and additional callings.

Every morning we arise naturally, usually without alarm clock at 5:30 or 6AM and spend the next 3-4 hours in silence with inner listening, writing my Daily Loving Reminders and responding to emails and prepping for the day. Robert Rides his stationary bike each AM, while reading, preparing the Sunday talk and other activities for the week. Each one of us has our roles to play in daily living, serving and creating without needing discussion.  Our life is evenly balanced, actively serving and always filled with gratitude.

We always love unconditionally, serve from the Heart and Remember God and Good in all things.
We love you and are on call for Good and available if you ever have need.
Life is good because we think, speak and act with Goodness in our hearts and minds and activities.

May everyday be a blessing and learning for you and your loved ones.
It is our vision and prayer that we all awaken to the natural world of whole life balance and Good for All.

You Are A Gift

Affirmations:
I recognize the gift of Love I am.
I enjoy the gift I AM by sharing my Love freely.
I forgive withholding anyone for any reason.
I never stop Loving, so I always feel loved.

No matter what your belief or religion,
No matter who you love or don’t love.
No matter where you live or what you give.
You are a Gift to me.

Each one of us is a gift to our world.
Each one is special, a reminder, a treasure.
Each child has a special calling and purpose.
Each person has a unique part to play.

The secret of our Gift lies inside us, to be revealed by Love.
The joy of our creativity lives within us, to be encouraged by Love.
The healing Spirit within waits for us to call it forth by Love.
The Loving Kindness of our natural Self is shown when we dare to care.

You and all those you encounter need your safety and consideration.
Everyone in your family and community needs to be encouraged.
Our purpose here is to express our natural gifts so we can reveal the Love within.
And where we begin is with ourselves and those with whom we feel safe.

Today give the gift of safety to yourself and others.
Criticize no one.
Appreciate everyone.
Listen with gentle encouragement.

Take time to care.
Reveal the Love You feel.
Express your imagination.
Recognize the Love in you.

It takes so little to share so much.
It gives us hope when we give our Love.
Every smile warms lonely hearts.
Every hug shows someone cares.

Always look toward the positive and you will see how this is God’s Grace.
Always be grateful for what you have and you will enjoy the abundance.
Always be clear that Love is your gift to one and all and you will be happy.
Always know you are loved and appreciated, because you are.

Give what you want to receive.
Give to fill every need.
Give to honor the one you are.
Give to enjoy the rewards of giving.

Loving you by sharing these Loving Reminders written daily for you for the last 15 years.
I care deeply about all my brothers and sisters and YOU!
Betty Lue

This is my favorite way to share money with Love.
These are loans that get paid back, so you can give again and again!
These loans connect people and make the world safer, happier and prosperous place.
I have loaned almost $1000 ( $25 each month), to people in 23 countries.
More than 50% has been repaid and I have loaned it to others families and groups.
I am sending you the website for the best place to share money.
Kiva.org where you are loan as little as $25 to people all over the world.
The money is repaid usually within 3-6 months, so you can loan again.
It is amazing what a few dollars can do in other parts of the world.
Check it out.  This is the link to use..... To connect with our Kiva account..

Loving you for making a better world for all.

Where Are You Wanted?

Affirmations:
I AM LOVE.
My Love is Enough.
I need nothing for I have everything I need.
I share All I have and know there is plenty for All.

Where are you needed?
What can you do to be helpful?
What can you give to make someone happy?

Stop asking for what you want.
Stop looking at what you need.
Stop seeking someone else to help you.
Stop trying to get anyone to make you happy.

If you want all your wishes to be filled, GIVE!
If you really desire to stop feeling needy, Contribute.
If you would like to feel strong, capable, worthy, be helpful to others.
If you really want to experience true and lasting happiness, make others happy!

Be where you are wanted.
Give what is truly needed.
Be helpful to those you encounter.
Make your world a happy place for us all.

I say ‘Yes’ to what is asked of me, unless it does harm to me or thee.
I respond to the needs I see and those I hear from within, my inner knowing.
I know I am here to be truly helpful, so I make myself available to be able to help.
I give my life to make my world a happier, healthier, safe and prosperous place to be.

When you can count on You to be Santa, you no longer wait for him to fulfill your wishes.
When you trust You to take care of you, you rely on your own giving to create the life you seek.
When you recognize You must be full in order to freely give, you meet your own needs first.
When you realize You are the One you seek, you love yourself unconditionally no matter what.

I was raised with little money or things, few gifts on Christmas and birthdays, and I grew up rich.
I never learned to expect others to give to me and always knew I was here to be the Love I AM.
I trusted in the power of loving and giving Love and relied on the Love in me to fully Be.
I thank my self and my parents and elders for not believing in neediness and not teaching falsely.

The great gift of their Love was to always trust LOVE IS ENOUGH!
We are here together to Love one another.
We are here to be the Presence (presents) of Love in our world.
We are here together to know this is all we really need:
Remember You Are Love and Your Love Is Enough!

And so I remind you: I know You Are Love.
And I receive the Love You Are.
Your Love is creating a world of Love.
And I appreciate YOU.
Betty Lue

Ten Keys to a Good Life
Be Responsible for the entirety of your life.
Be Open to learn from everything and everyone.
Be Forgiving of all mistakes, yours and others.
Be Truly helpful by thinking, speaking and giving your best.
Be Impeccable in caring for your body, relationships, home, work, finances.
Be Willing to live with moderation in all things.
Be Aware of the Gift of Love and the Call for Love.
Be Exact with your thoughts and words; they create your life.
Be Hard-working with wisdom, gratitude and joy.
Be Good.  See Good. Think Good. Speak Good. Give Good.

 LOVE
There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
No disease that enough love will not heal;
No door that enough love will not open;
No gulf that enough love will not bridge;
No wall that enough love will not throw down;
No sin that enough love will not redeem.

 It makes no difference
how deeply seated may be the trouble,
How hopeless the outlook,
How muddled the tangle,
How great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.

If only you could love enough, you would be the happiest
and most powerful being in the world.

Gifts Are Symbols

Affirmations;
I offer the gift of Love and Appreciation.
I offer all I have to give.
I am blessed as I share only blessings.
I receive as I give with genuine joy.

How about giving some real gifts this year?
Perhaps gifts that are anonymous?
Perhaps gifts that are real and lasting?
Perhaps gifts of service and helping?

Have you considered giving to your loved ones your time?
Have you considered giving to those you resent or avoid the gift of kindness?
Have you ever thought to be thoughtful to those you take for granted or neglect?
Have you considered giving overt love and appreciation to someone who needs to be valued?

Dutiful or obligatory giving may distract us from the real gifts we can give with no reason.
We may be so caught up in the busyness and stress of shopping that we ignore our own needs.
Sometimes we get irritable and forget to appreciate the clerk, the postman, our family.
When find yourself giving because it is expected, you may want to stop and change your attitude.

Consider giving with gratitude and joy.
Consider giving what is really wanted.
Consider giving without conditions.
Consider giving your love and appreciation.

Our Unity Center for Inspired Living gave to one another with a holiday potluck and gift exchange.
We have given caroling, holiday homemade goodies and gifts for 24 women and their small children at a recovery home nearby.
We are bringing Christmas carols and teddy bears and bookmarks with “You are Loved!” to two nursing homes in our town.
We host both a Winter Solstice meditation and Celebration at Positive Living Center and a New Year’s Eve Play Shop in our home and workshop after church at our Unity Center.
All five of our grandchildren will be with us for several days over the holidays and Santa comes here as well as to their homes.
We are setting up a 14 ft backyard trampoline as a surprise on Christmas Eve in Alameda for our grandkids.

Yes, we find plenty of fun and fantastic ways to spread Holiday Joy.
Mostly we are enjoying ourselves in giving what is meaningful to us.
We love singing, sharing, making happy and having fun with games and laughter and watching kids.
Give yourself a truly Merry Christmas by doing exactly what is right and best for you!

You see in the end, it is your Light that calls to be turned it.
It is your Love, you are longing to feel and reveal.
It is your giving that is the True and Lasting Gift.
So make sure to give what gives to you the Happiness and inner Peace you desire.

Loving You always and only as the True Gift I AM.
For this is the way I remind us all to show up as the Love and Light we truly Are.
Betty Lue

You are a gift to me!! I know you and I appreciate you. Betty Lue

The Gift You Are

You are the gift.
In your healing, I am healed.
In your smiling, I find joy.
In your learning, I am filled with wisdom.
In your free expressions, I am empowered.
In your abundance, I too prosper.
In your spontaneity, I am set free.
In your joy, I know heaven.

And so it is that you give your Self to me
And I receive you with love and gratitude.
I am the gift I give to You
And I fully receive the gift I freely give.

As I know You, I know my Self.
As I give to you, I receive all good.
As I support you, I am supported by the Universe.
As I honor and respect you, I experience gratitude in all my being.
As I love you, I am loving all of God's creation.

I know you and believe in you.
I honor, respect and support you in being.
In you and me is all the Universe.
We are gifts to one another.

Winter Solstice Reminders

 Affirmations:
I choose wisely, when I am in a peaceful state.
Making loving decisions I easy for me.
I take time to stop, look and listen before I set my intention.
I know what I want and I go for it.
I am grateful to be free and trusting myself.

It is time to complete and celebrate.
It is time to conserve and contemplate.
It is time to relax and remember.
It is time to take some time to renew You.

Renewal happens when we finish what we started.
Renewal comes when we have realized our Goodness.
Renewal is the gift of giving ourselves our best.
Renewal is our own rebirth of vision and fulfillment.

When we come to winter, we each choose how we respond.
For some winter is the time to hibernate.
For others winter is the time to plan for spring.
For those who stay busy all year, they put on warm clothes and carry on.

You are the chooser.
You can use this day and any day to make it what you want to be.
You can create the experience you want to have.
Be setting your intention or desired outcome or goal, you create what you want.

Take time today and everyday to set your intention.
Be conscious of the choices you make, emotionally or mentally.
Give yourself the goal you want to achieve and the experience you prefer.
Keep in mind what you have set for yourself.

Continue on your chosen path until you have what you want.
You may be distracted, detoured, delayed and disappointed.
However, it is your choice to continue to fruition and success.
If you allow others to determine you destination, that too is your choice.

Remember your decisions are for you.
You can try to control, manipulate and demand others to go your way.
However others have their own lessons to learn and places to serve and achievements to make.
It is responsible and respectful to allow  ( trust and free) each person to make their own choices.

The most conscious person considers what is for the highest good of all.
The more self-centered person looks out for their own interests alone.
Those who are martyring for others may only do what is best for others, neglecting themselves.
We each have a journey, a path of learning and awakening, which is ours to choose.

Consider how best to use your days today and throughout the coming year.
Set you intention.  Forgive and learn from your mistakes. Choose again for what is Good for all.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

The Time Is Now!

Affirmations:
I freely share the Love and Joy in me.
I am loving everyone with everything I think and do and say.
I love myself, just as I AM.
I let go and choose to shine my Light and share my Love.

There is no better time than today…..
To say what you mean and mean what you say.
There is no better day than today….
To give your very best in how you work and play.

There is no greater moment than this one…
To finish with gratitude what you have begun.
There is no more precious give you can give….
Than to share the appreciation and love you have.

You see, there is only this moment.
This is your time to shine and declare.
In this moment as you breathe and read,
Wherever you are to feel and express the Love in you.

So often we wait, until its too late.
Why not say it now in your mind and heart.
That the best way to start remembering.
Love is what matters to everyone you know.

Love can be shared with a smile or a touch.
Love is received whether we see it or not.
Love can be given in a gift or special time.
Love may be how your help and serve and support.

It is time for you to take the time,
a split second to remind yourself.
I appreciate.  I celebrate, I value You.
And when you do, you receive THE GIFT!

In your Love is The Light, The Light you seek!
In your DeLight is The Love, The Love you seek!
In the gifts you share, you will know and declare:
“I see and know the Light and Love in me.”

Goodness knows you have more to give.
Goodness sees you may have forgotten Thee.
Goodness knows there is more to show.
Goodness knows you have to let go.

Begin again this day,
To wash away the tears and fears, the disappointment and doubt.
Now is your time to sing and shout.
This is my time to shine and share the Love that has been waiting there inside.

I am loving you always in every way I see and feel, I hear and know.

Stress and Distress

Reminder:
Winter Solstice Celebration
Hidden Valley Lake at our Positive Living Center,
Friday, Dec. 20 at 7PM.
Light Meditation, drumming, labyrinth Peace walk, Peace Pole affirmation,
Self Love Reminders, Awakening the Light Within!
Fun, Sweet and Healing Enlightenment.
*****************************************************************************
Affirmations:
I am at peace with myself and my choices.
I appreciate everything I have and do and give.
I am willing to fully enjoy the choices I make.
I release and let go and trust all is well.
I am always in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing for the right reason.

The Basic Three Keys  to stop distress are breathing, hydration and movement.
Sitting and thinking rarely calms down body and mind, unless you are meditating.
When you stop using the energy in your body and mind, it builds.
When we are trying to sleep when our body energy and emotional energy at high is futile.

Use your mental, physical and emotional energy.
Use it for something meaningful, healthy and good for you.
Stop trying to contain yourself when you need to be working, sweating, accomplishing and creating.
We need to use the adrenalin ( from anxiety) or cortisol ( from lack of rest) until we can relax.

So now what?
How can you get out of the pattern of over doing everything?
How can you focus on finishing one thing at a time?
How can you stop the madness and simply enjoy life?

1) Even exchanging one little bad habit for a good one is effective.
2) Make a simple list and finish it with your own gratitude and joy.
3) Drink water instead of something with sugar or caffeine. Learn to not eat three hours before bedtime bedtime..  (Bodies like 12 hours to clean our the digestive tract during the night._
4) If you need to snack during the day, make it healthy for you.
5) Always get up and move, take a walk, do something physical every hour or two.
6) Make a list of what you want to do each day ( unless it distresses you.) and cross things off with thanks.
7) Learn to sign and breathe deep into your whole body throughout the day and whenever up tight.
8) Practice deep relaxation (find a CD to put yourself to sleep at night.
9) Write in a gratitude journal before you go to bed at night.
10) Eat foods that relax your body and mind ( more alkaline, rather than acid producing).
11) Create opportunities to be helpful, kind, encouraging and positive throughout the day.
12) Imagine you are supported by everyone and everything everywhere, so you feel more secure.
13) Stop trying to do what is not working. Take a break and do something positive and effective.
14) Take time daily or several times a week to play….outdoor sports, mindless games, funny shows.
15) Forgive, erase and release what is worrisome or haunts you with regret or guilt.
16) Stop doing what you hate or dislike or resent.  Lack of self love causes distress.
17) Start doing what you love and loving what you do.  Appreciate yourself daily.
18) Learn to see beauty and goodness and breathe it in.  Remind yourself that you create Good.
19) Take breaks when you are working even for 30 seconds to affirm your purpose and choices.
20) Choose to relax and enjoy every moment of everyday, even when you forget.

A little summary of stress reductions ideas:
Breathe, Fresh air and sunshine, movement (walking, running, playing sports, working out, yoga,
Qi Gong, meditation, T’ai Chi Chih, creativity, writing, painting, crafts, volunteer service, appreciation, gratitude journal, loving, laughing, enjoying life!!

Bless you for serving others.
Remember always to serve yourself first!
Even 5 minutes/ day will change your mind and your life!
Loving us all as we learn to enjoy the life we have created.
And changing what we can change when it no longer works.
Betty Lue

Give What You Want to Receive

Affirmations:  (See how to use affirmations, below)
I treat myself with love, respect and appreciation.
The more I love, respect and appreciate myself, the more I love, respect and appreciate others.
The more I love, respect and appreciate myself, the more others love, respect and appreciate themselves.
The more I love, respect and appreciate myself, the more others love, respect and appreciate me.
The more I love, respect and appreciate myself, the more others love, respect and appreciate others.
And so it is, my life works as a teaching example for my world.

Give What You Want to Receive.
Receive What You Give.

Teach by example.
Give what you have.
Allow the Gratitude in your giving be your gift to yourself.
Your Essence is enough, has enough and freely shares what is has.

Ego (“Edging Good Out”) or learned personality believes it does not have.
Ego wants to GET what it believe is deserves to have.
Ego gives to GET.
Ego measures and evaluates, plans and manipulates to GET its neediness met.

When we believe we are ego, body and personality, we are taught we need to GET to survive.
We use emotions (usually crying, threats, rage and demands) to GET our needs met.
We usually live in fear of being denied or attacked by someone who needs to GET there needs met.
When we live in this needy, greedy belief system, there is never enough and always fear.

People fight over who gets more money, who has more food, a better home or care, or easier life.
Children fight over who get the most toys, most attention, better grades, prettier hair or clothes.
Business people fight over who has the most customers, better employees or greater profits.
Nations fight over territory, technology, weapons and oil, religion and politics.

There is a belief in “not enough”!
There is a fear of “losing out”.
There is a need to be “ right”.
There is a fear of  being “wrong”, looking foolish, being stupid and being blind-sided.

When we are secure, when we know we are loved, when we know our needs will be met, we relax.
When we trust ourselves, when we realize life is an inside job, when we love ourselves, we are OK.
When we understand universal law, and metaphysical principles, we know giving is receiving.
When we realize we are responsible for the quality of our lives, we begin to choose more wisely.

When we know we can meet our own needs without getting, we give.
When we know we can trust our own inner voice and intuition, we listen and follow.
When we know the laws of karma, we recognize our need to learn, to forgive all errors and choose again.
When we are willing to be responsible for ourselves, we observe and learn, we respect all beings.

When we realize the meaning and value of the “Golden Rule”, we stop trying to change others.
When we respect “Give to others what you want others to give to you.”, we give our best to everyone.
When we treat others as we want to be treated, we begin to identify where we have been withholding.
When we love ourselves and others with Trust and Freedom, we allow everyone to follow their own path.

When we give our best, we teach others to give their best.
When we receive the best we have given, we learn from every thought, word and deed we share.
When we extend peace to others, we are at peace.
When we treat ourselves and others with love, trust, respect and appreciation, our life is a gift.

There is no better gift in life, than to fully and freely give your best to everyone you encounter.
And when you cannot, stop, forgive and fill yourself up with love, trust, respect and appreciation.
You are the captain of your ship, the leader of your life, and the one who holds the key to happiness.
Be awake, aware and tell yourself the high Truth, Give your all and Detach from the outcome.

This is the “high”way to life, the “free” way to happiness and the healing way to Holiness.
Loving you,
Betty Lue

Clarify, communicate and live your mission, your path, your principles and values.

Be responsible for yourself, your work and live your life impeccably.
Don’t expect others to pick up after you or take care of you.

Stop using, blame, criticism or guilt to control or manipulate.
Stop making demands, threats or using neediness to get your way.

Communicate effectively and respectfully.
Request a time and place and tone of voice that works for both parties.

Be your best self in all circumstances.
Focus always on teaching by example. (and apologize immediately when you forget or neglect.)

Use your time together wisely.
Focus on meaningful, positive and inspiring conversation and activities.

Spend time, money, energy and resources only on what you value and want to increase.
Waste nothing in your relationship.  No arguing, pettiness, emotional dumping or negativity.

As circumstances change, there is a need to re-commit to what works for all participants.
Families need to meet to look at the specific needs of each individual to be at their best.
Couples need to ensure that the relationship is “serving all parties.
Business partners need to return to their original agreement and consider changing roles as needed.

Life requires that we be in relationship.
With respect for ourselves and each other there is open communication.
With responsibility for the quality of our relationships, there is a willingness to seek what works for all.
With cooperation there is encouragement to listen for ways to serve the needs of everyone.
When everyone WINS, the relationships are harmonious, peaceful and enjoyable.

Affirmations are used to clear unconscious programming that tends to guide our thoughts, feelings and behavior. Writing, speaking and hearing us say the affirmation aloud clears the false beliefs through our sense of sight, sound and touch.  It is essential that we keep writing and saying the affirmations until there is no longer resistance to the limiting beliefs.  Affirmations are not to be used to develop a new belief, but only useful to clear false limiting programs.  Once there is quiet, clarity, no resistance, we are complete.

My favorite way to do affirmations is to divide the lined page down the middle.  The affirmation is written on the left side and your mind chatter or contradictory thought is written on the right side.  Then cross off the negative.  Write the affirmation again on the left and listen to your mind chatter and write on the right.  Cross the mind chatter off.  Continue writing the affirmation 20 time and listen for the resistant thought after each one.
See below my example and cross off everything that is in pink.  I would do it all by hand, so I could cross it off with my pen!!  20 times daily for 14 days or until there is no resistance.  Do no more than three different affirmations at a time.  Things may change dramatically, so be prepared to notice big difference.  Life works when we are willing to do the work.  Ask me for help if you have trouble finding the affirmations that are most effective for you. Always choose an affirmation that you resist, because it will help clear away what is blocking your Good.

They will always feel like a lie in the beginning and you may find great resistance to doing them!!
