Summer Solstice

First Day of Summer 4:09 PM PDT, June 20, 2012
The Longest Day of the Year and the highest zenith in the sky as we travel around the sun.
And metaphysically, I make up with more light we see more of our blessings and our curses.
We see where we have blessed, loved and appreciated and where we have cursed, feared and criticized.

The summer is the time to play and enjoy the good in our lives.
The summer is the time to relax, renew and recreate our live.
The summer is the time to take the time to do whatever we want.
The summer is the time to remember we are free to be Who We Are.

When we make the time to do what we really want, we are happy.
When we take time from ourselves to fulfill our duties and obligations, we may be resentful.
When we set ourselves free to listen inside to our own heart/mind, we find our truth.
When we deny ourselves the right to claim our own voice and choice, we find sorrow and pain.

The summer may be your time to clean the closets. to review our life purpose, to drop bad habits.
It may be a time for some soulful reflection, a time of recollection of days gone by.
The summer can be a time for reconnecting with family and friends, reunion of those you love.
It may be a time for You to rediscover You, the real You, the happy You, to grateful You.

Consider setting yourself free.
What would your life be, if you chose to really be and do and have what blesses and inspires you?
How and where would you live, if you gave yourself the opportunity to live again?
Who would you choose as friends, mentors, life partners, teachers and working colleagues?

Is it possible that if you had do-overs you could and would choose something very different?
Are you able to see what has worked for you, mistakes and blessings alike?
Can you see how much you have grown and come into your own?
Do you recognize where you would give yourself a chance to sing and dance and express more freely?

To Live your life with no regrets means seeing everything with forgiving eyes.
To feel fulfilled means recognizing how everything is a blessing and a gift.
To fully appreciate yourself is to remember that you are here to clear the fear.
To understand your true nature is to return to love  and realize your wholeness.

This summer consider giving yourself a REAL vacation.
Even 24 hours can be enough to wakeup and choose again.
Take a day to step out of your everyday life.
Step away from everything that is familiar and take a day off.

A wise teacher suggested once a month to take 24 hours without contact with anyone other than yourself.
Be alone with your own thoughts and feelings, hope and dreams, memories and mindfulness.
Journal, breathe, sleep, wonder, listen within.
If you like just be in your own room or make a vision quest under the stars.

24 hours, where you can get acquainted with the Real You, the authentic Being inside your Doing.
Perhaps this is where to review the journey you have taken and to choose again for the road less travelled.

Loving you in the Light of the Sun and with the Light of the Son…..We are all One.
Betty Lue

Hypothetically, people worry about everyone being selfishly oriented. "If everyone did exactly what they want to do, what kind of world would this be?" And we say, a really, really good one. Because if everyone did what they wanted to do, everyone would feel free. And if you feel free, you feel empowered. And every negative emotion that exists—hear this—every negative emotion that exists is because there is some sense of loss of freedom somewhere in there.
