Quiet Mind

Are you avoiding the void?
Do you fill your life with meaningless thoughts because you are afraid of emptiness?
Are you uncomfortable with silence?
Do you believe you need to know something, say something or be something?

To write these reminders every morning, I need to be empty.
To flow our what the Spirit of Love wants to express, I need to Know nothing.
To easily create what is for me to do and say and be, I need to want nothing.
I am an open channel, a space of freedom and trust, where Love is remembered and wholeness restored.

Yes, when I am full of “it”, I am blocking the Light and Love I Am here to be.
When I am quiet, open and willing, trusting and freeing, I simply care and share what is called forth.
When I sit at my computer each morning, as I have for the last now 13 years, I simply wait and listen.
Whatever I hear is typed and shows up on the screen.

It needs nothing except that I receive the message for myself.
I receive it as fully as I am able and willing in the moment and then share as I am guided.
I trust that whatever you receive is a gift or source of inspiration or a loving reminder for you.
I enjoy the process because it inspires me and begins my day with the joy of creating.

This process began with 5 minutes a day in 1976, sitting in my living room, before anyone was awake.
I sat and saw a vision of a home of infinite Love where anyone could come and feel perfectly loved.
The next day I brought a tablet and wrote down the words I heard in my mind.
They were beautiful loving and gently guiding words that inspired me to follow their direction.

This was the beginning of my spirit-guided journey and has led me to co-create over 18 spiritual centers.
These centers are begun with minimal monies I earned as a therapist/coach/teacher.  The centers were co-created in California, North Carolina, Montana, Michigan and Indiana.  Each one offered counseling, healing, bodywork, classes and workshops, fellowship and spiritual services for people to find the life path that inspired them and facilitated their life purpose. They freely shared resources, lending libraries, support and counsel for people who had limited funds as well as those of means.  There has never been anyone turned away do to lack of finances.

In your everyday life, you have little insights, intuitions, ideas and images.  Each one comes from within a creative and natural part of your authentic being.  When you begin to listen, write down, apply and follow what you hear, see and know from within, you realize that you too have an inner guidance system.  It is in setting a conscious goal that you tap into this place that serves everyone.

To desire to “be of loving service “and setting that as  your over-riding intention is key to then listening for “Where shall I go? Whom shall I serve? and How can I best be of service? I want to “live my highest potential everyday in everyway” will call forth from within: “What can I do to expand myself?
And How shall I express my gifts, talents and resources right here and right now?”

Each day, set an intention.
Each morning, give your whole self to the Highest Good.
Each encounter, remind yourself to give your very best .
Each project or work, choose to give your all.

You see, you really are the most important person in your life.
How you choose to see yourself, give yourself and be yourself is your responsibility.
You can be still and know the place inside that guides your life to be all you are here to be.
Set yourself free and you will see the perfect Trust that comes from listening to and loving the Best in You.

Loving you,
Betty Lue

How To Love Yourself
1. STOP ALL CRITICISM
Criticism never changes a thing. Refuse to criticize yourself. Accept yourself exactly as you are. Everybody changes. When you criticize yourself, your changes are negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes are positive.
2. DON’T SCARE YOURSELF
Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. It’s a dreadful way to live. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure (mine is yellow roses), and immediately switch your scary thought to a pleasure thought.
3. BE GENTLE AND KIND AND PATIENT
Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Be patient with yourself as you learn the new ways of thinking. Treat yourself as you would someone you really loved.
4. PRAISE YOURSELF
Criticism breaks down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.
5. BE KIND TO YOUR MIND
Self hatred is only hating your own thoughts. Don’t hate yourself for having the thoughts. Gently change your thoughts.
6. SUPPORT YOURSELF
Find ways to support yourself. Reach out to friends and allow them to help you. It is being strong to ask for help when you need it.
7. BE LOVING TO YOUR NEGATIVES
Acknowledge that you created them to fulfill a need. Now you are finding new, positive ways to fulfill those needs. So, lovingly release the old negative patterns.
8. TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY
Learn about nutrition. What kind of fuel does your body need to have optimum energy and vitality? Learn about exercise. What kind of exercise can you enjoy? Cherish and revere the temple you live in.
9. MIRROR WORK
Look into your eyes often. Express this growing sense of love you have for yourself. Forgive yourself looking into the mirror. Talk to your parents looking into the mirror. Forgive them too. At least once a day say: “I love you, I really love you!”
10. LOVE YOURSELF...DO IT NOW
Don’t wait until you get well, or lose the weight, or get the new job, or the new relationship. Begin now, and do the best you can.
