Snowed In

What do you do when you are snowed in or stuck?
How do you feel when your mind feels slow and unclear?
How do you handle times when you must lay your plans aside and wait?
What is the best use of your time when you feel limited by life?

We can complain and worry.
We can be negative and annoyed.
We can enjoy the experience.
We can be creative and use what we have.

Yes, we are snowed in here in South Lake Tahoe with our grandchildren.
Lots of snow and wind and cold, 18 inches of fresh snow.
Cozy in our condo with lots of food in the frig. And a cake in the oven.
Grandpa playing war (card game) with 3 grandkids and I writing these loving reminders.

Songs to sing, stories to tell, games to play, food to share and lots of loving to do.
Every event is an “on purpose” and not an accident, when used for good purposes.
Only when we judge, fear and complain does life present us with self made limitation.
When we accept, forgive our resistance and enjoy the experiences, we are resilient, happy and creative.

Everything can be used to generate good.
Anything can be used to strengthen our trust.
All we do can be given to Love.
All we experience can be given to the Source of all Good for the Good of All.

Yes, plans must change.
Yes, our personal desires may not be fulfilled.
Yes, we can stay attached to our preferences and demands.
Yes, we can let go and release our mind to whatever is for the Highest Good.

We can be entertained and enjoy life.
We can be challenged and strengthen our faith.
We can feel blessed and be grateful.
We can be wise and learn from everything.

When I am snowed in or stuck someplace in my life for even a moment, I choose to pause and trust.
When I recognize plans made are not happening, I can seek to see the higher purpose.
When I notice that life is offering me unexpected choices, I can open my mind to learn.
When I have the opportunity to live in present moment with no comparison or judgment, I can enjoy.

Enjoying the time to simply be …..in Love.
Loving it all,
Betty Lue

A prayer a faithful reader shared with me.

Thanking the Giver of All Good Things

Dear GOD, Universal Goodness!

I want to thank You for what you have already done.
I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better.
I'm not going to wait until people say they are sorry or they stop talking about me.
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears.
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves.
I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet.
I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job.
I am not going to wait until I understand everything that has caused me pain or grief.
I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed.

I am thanking you right now.
I am thanking you because I am alive.
I am thanking you because I made it through the days of difficulties.
I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.
I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.
I'm thanking you because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.

God is just so good, and he's good all the time
