Time To Let Go

Happy New Year’s Eve

When we adore our history, we will try to repeat it.
When we abhor our history, we will repeat it in our minds if not our lives.
When we learn from our history, we will be grateful.
When we release our history with gratitude and blessing, we are free.

When we do not judge, we stay in trust.
When we do not compare, we enjoy what is.
When we do not try, we are at peace with ourselves,
When we appreciate our lives, we trust and free ourselves.

Most children are taught to judge, compare, try and evaluate their selves.
In society, education and the workplace, we are measured by our relative productivity.
Comparison usually yields displeasure, disappointment and anxiety over our relative abilities.
When we release all to God, recognizing all is Good, we find the intrinsic value in everything.

For everything there is a cycle and a season.
Life is a series of learning opportunities for those who enjoy learning.
Life offers adventures, experiences and responsibilities for the ones who are grateful for it all.
Life seems to be struggles, obstacles, burdens and suffering for those who react and resist.

At this ending to 2009, let us graciously and gratefully release what has been.
Let us acknowledge that “All things work together for good.:
Let us remember “Everything always works more exquisitely than we can plan.”
Let us enjoy with trust and gratitude all we have learned and earned along the way.

Together we will remember that all of life is a gift.
Together we can remind one another that what works is to stop all judgment.
Together we rest assured that each one of us is loved and valued.
Together we step into the New Year with Peace and Joy in our hearts.

How can you complete what has been this last year?
How do you make yourself ready for the New Year 2010?
What are the rituals or methods of effective closure that you use?
What are your preparations for the New Year?

See the suggestions below.
Or use native peoples clearing with releasing the past through burning burying or cleansing.
Or simply list all you have learned, gained and realized this year.
Or acknowledge the value of this year and its blessings.

Take some time to envision what you really want for yourself, your family and the planet.
You are creating the world you want to see and be for others.
By continuing to focus on the bad, the mistakes or what you want to be erased, you create more.
By envisioning the Good, the ideal, the possibilities for one and all, you facilitate their creation.

Let this New Year’s be one of peace, trust, freedom and joy for you in every way,

Betty Lue

Being Truly Helpful

How can I be most helpful in my family, my community and my world?

Be the best I can be.
Focus on loving and actualizing myself.
Be honest and trust myself.
Join myself in honoring my own goals.
Know I am in the right place at the right time doing the right thing.
Be committed each day to live the Love I am in the most effective and fulfilling way.
Take full responsibility for all my experiences without guilt or blame.
Respond with forgiveness, kindness and love to all, no matter what.
Free myself from the limiting programs and beliefs of my culture and heritage.
Believe in the unlimited power of Love within me and all humanity.

It is by my example that I teach.
Everything I think, say and do is a teaching for all the universe.
Be clear about the message I am giving with how I am living.
Live in integrity with everything I think and say and do.

It is through my actions that I give and live the best I know.
Wherever I am called, I am available to serve the Highest Good.
I need not answer every egoic need, but rather do that which serves the inspired Good of the Being.
I am called to awaken, to encourage and to facilitate the highest potential in each being.

I need not know how, but rather be willing to be truly helpful.
I need not focus on what is wrong, but rather seek for what is “true and Good”.
I need not correct mistakes, but rather look for how to learn from everything.
I need not analyze problems, but rather clarify the desired outcome and offer creative solutions.

Life is a sacred journey.
We each are living and giving the best we know.
When we are ignorant, because we have not seen or heard of anything better, we cannot move forward.
Our work with one another is to demonstrate our good works and be obvious in our joy and gratitude.

How can you prepare for the New Year 2010?
Make a list of everything you are ready, willing and able to forgive and release.
Write down what you can see as no longer serving your highest Good.
State in writing what you are determined to release, erase, offer up and transform.
Then seek to find the blessing, the learnings, the gifts in the year past.

Release it all in a fire of purification or burying it in the earth or shredding it into the garbage.
As you release bless yourself and the past year with your gratitude and willingness to easily let go.
Trust that as easily as you release, you can create anew the highest and best your desire.
Linger not over trying to understand, to analyze, to judge or criticize.  These hold you back.

If there are pages to be released forgiven and undone, continue the process until you are clear.
If there is resentment or regret, simply ask yourself to let it all go, to be free and to trust again.
Your New Year’s gift to yourself can be a new beginning, new goals, new opportunities, a new way.
Love yourself enough to be truly helpful first to your whole and Holy self.
Your life is a gift to you.  Use it well and you will be happy and fulfilled.
Judge it and you will suffer with guilt and shame, resentment and resistance.
Now it your time, my time, to begin again.  Let’s do it together.

Loving you,

Betty Lue

It’s Up To Me!

Yes, it is up to me and you to make our own dreams come true.
Yes, what we see needs to be done is ours to do.
Yes, we are the ones we are waiting for.
Yes, we can achieve what we conceive and believe when we receive our own inner guidance.

What seems to interfere with our inner peace and fulfillment:
1) Conflicting thoughts by trying to please others and yourself and believing you cannot do both.
2) No clearly defined goals and priorities.
3) Living out our past mistakes because we still hold judgment in our minds.
4) Believing we are unworthy, incapable and unsupported.
5) Scattered attention with focus on others’ behaviors and accomplishments.

What works:
1) Do what is best for you and know it is best for others.
2) Make your own list of goals and priorities.
3) Work on one thing at a time.
4) Affirm the very best for yourself and others.
5) Mind your own business.

What is best for you will make you feel happy, energized, capable, supported and loved.
In your interactions with others you will support them only in doing what is best for them.
They will feel happy, energized, capable, loved and supported.
Differences in priorities and abilities will not be noticed or criticized.

Take time to list your overall goals in life.
Then take one step at a time, focused on first things first.
Keep yourself focused on what you CAN Do.
BE true to your own priorities rather than ask or listen to others.

With focus on avoiding your past mistakes, you will tend to repeat them.
While there is much that tells us to learn from our mistakes, where we focus, we increase.
Our thoughts create …negative thinking creates as well.
Forgive the past…all of it…and you will discover that only the Good remains.

Give yourself affirmations daily. “I am loveable and capable.”
“Everything I do and say is a blessing to all, including myself.”
“The universe supports me in being and giving my very best.”
“Everything I do with joy and gratitude increases my joy and gratitude.”

While suggesting, advising, guiding and telling seems to be loving, it may feel like pressure and parenting.
Commenting on what others do and how they do it, is like a teacher in a classroom or hovering mother.
It is always best to mind our own business and be our best rather than criticize another…unless asked.
With full attention on our own thoughts, words, action and attitude, we maximize our positive success.

Loving you with the best I know through lots of experimentation and inner listening to what works,
Betty Lue

Remember, people pay me to give counsel, teaching and advice.
People ask to read these Loving Reminders and may delete whenever they wish.
I do not give unsolicited counsel, teaching or advice to anyone, including my family members.
Everyone will be much happier and more likely to succeed, when you leave others to learn from their own mistakes.

Love to Hear From YOU!

Going to the Lake House for the week.
We may have the ability to send out Loving Reminders, but won’t know until we try on Tuesday.
You can call for phone appointments anytime…800-919-2392 to leave a message or 925-324-2409 cell.
Or you can make Pleasant Hill and Brentwood office appointments beginning Jan. 12.
I am also open for appts. on Sunday afternoon Jan. 3 in Brentwood.

Will return late this Saturday for Sunday, Jan. 3 service and 2010 Visioning workshop.
Jan. 4-10 we will be in Genoa, NV near South Lake Tahoe for time in the snow with grandchildren.

You hear from me daily or weekly.(depending on your choice.)
You know my whole life, my feelings and thoughts, my spiritual guidance and practice.
You know my grandchildren, what matters to me most and my feelings about you!
While it might seem I don’t care about you individually, I DO!

Often we underestimate our importance in others’ lives.
Often we think we don’t really matter to others.
Often we don’t take the time to write, to call, to share our inner truths.
The world has become more impersonal, detached and less intimate.

When I write these loving reminders, I am writing to you.
I see my relationship with you as very real and immediate.
I value the daily connection and when I don’t have access to computer, I miss the opportunity to share.
I see my worth and value and teaching as primarily the realization of our unity, our oneness.

Our differences are minor compared to our similarities.
Our desire to touch others’ lives is real and important.
Our choices to be happy or unhappy, peaceful or in conflict, impact all of us.
We are here to share our wisdom, our hopes and dreams, our remembering Love.

We are each like cells in the body of God.
Every cell matters and every function of every cell makes a difference.
When one piece is not functioning in harmony with the others, the whole system is impacted.
When one person in the sea of humanity is not whole and happy and free, all are limited.

We cannot achieve our full Self Realization until every part of the whole is healthy.
We are not at peace until every part of the greater Whole is in harmony with us all.
Life is not perfectly happy and healthy until every piece of the whole is functioning optimally.
You matter to the whole and you happiness and health makes a difference to me and to all.

So what does that really mean in practical terms?
How can you and I make the most positive difference in the lives of others?
How can we truly be love in our world through our own self realization?
What can you think, do or say that will benefit everyone everywhere?

Take impeccable care of your whole self…not just your body, but your mind and your Spirit.
Keep your agreements with your family and friends, at home and at work.
Stop talking about anything or anyone in negative or destructive ways, because it hurts.
Learn to speak words that are creative, affirming, positive, hopeful, empowering and loving.
Use your imagination to envision healing, improvement, fulfillment, and positive possibility.
Give power to your inspired Self,  and diminish the power of your fear-based ego self.
Use what you have by taking care of it well and sharing it with others when you are done.
Withhold love, respect and kindness from no one; everyone heals and grows when blessed.
Forgive your mistakes and the errors of others, encouraging greater consciousness and wisdom.
Use your time, money and energy for what you value and it will increase.
Send thoughts and prayers of gratitude and respect for those who lead, knowing their risk and sacrifice.
Give your best and keep your word, while being open to greater understanding and peace for all.

You are making a difference in my life and in all humanity…..one person and one day at a time.
Blessing you all for the Good you Are,
Betty Lue

Celebrate the Healing and Creative Light In You!

Are you willing to bring honorable closure to 2009?
Are you ready to end the year with gratitude and blessing?
Are you up for taking full responsibility for your 2009 experiences?
Can you accept all your wins and losses, regrets and mistakes, achievements and successes?

Have you noticed when you are happy, you forget to be sad?
Have you watched how creating something good shifts your attention away from the “bad”?
Have you seen how focusing on others causes you to forget about yourself?
Have you experienced that what you think and talk about seems to reinforce and intensify it?

Life is meant to be an adventure….a celebration of being alive.
Life is a choice to explore, learn and grow or be secure, comfortable and live with what you know.
Some choose the path of caution, fear and maintaining what is known.
Some choose the path of freedom, enjoyment and  going for higher ground.

What is your life?
What do you celebrate?
How much have your learned and grown?
What have you contributed to make a better world?

As we close 2009, it is time to honor what was, respect what is and enjoy what will be.
While we cannot know the future, we can appreciate and bless the past.
While we cannot be definite about how life will turn out, we can be assured by what we do with NOW!
We are practicing daily where we put our attention and energy.

When we are looking for problems, we will find them (and create them) to make ourselves RIGHT!
When we are seeking learning and growth, we will notice that we are learning from everyone.
When we are looking forward to the adventures of life, we will be ready for whatever comes our way.
When we are here to be conscious in our living, we will experiment to see how we create and enjoy.

While life can be challenging and eventful or fun, safe and easy, we choose what to remember.
While our part can seem minescule or magnificent, we choose the value we give ourselves.
While the worldly stuff (wealth and acquisitions) can be meager or affluent, we choose its worth.
While others may honor us or ignore us, we choose how we celebrate our lives.

At the end of the year, it matters not how others judge us.
At the end of our career, it matters not how others see our achievements.
At the end of our lives, it matters not how many come to our memorial.
What matters is how we celebrate each day and the part that we played.

Let’s practice a year with no regrets.
Let’s appreciate all we learned and grew.
Let’s credit ourselves with the ways that we loved.
Let’s forgive ourselves for all forgetfulness.

Let’s celebrate a year well lived.
Let’s commit to a new year of whatever we choose.
Let’s honor ourselves with living life our own unique way.
Let’s value ourselves by treating ourselves really well.

Remember this life was given to you to live as you choose.
Respect, appreciate and bless your choices.
Loving you,

Betty Lue

Honorable Closure

How do you complete a relationship, a marriage, a teaching-learning experience, a job, a friendship?
How do you know you are really complete?
Often people walk away without really finishing the spiritual work, because it is easier emotionally.
People don’t know how to come to a truly peaceful place, where “good-bye” is really “God be with You.”
When we are complete, we are at peace and in love.
We have no regrets, no resentments, no unhappy memories.

Honorable closure acknowledges:
1)   the learning and growth received,
2)   challenges and difficulties experienced,
3)   appreciation of gifts and blessings,
4)   forgiveness and amends made.
Acknowledge within your self and with the other person all that you have learned and how you have grown and benefited from the experience.

Honor and express the challenges and difficulties that occurred and perhaps were endured during the time together.
Offer your gratitude and appreciation to the other for the benefits you received.
Share your forgiveness and/or make amends for those places of unconscious or conscious errors of omission or commission.
Often neither party is aware of what went unexpressed until the two have an opportunity to talk together.
This is very valuable when done with the conscious intention for a peaceful conclusion.
And lastly,  give your full appreciation and blessings to those whom you are leaving.

Honorable closure always includes a face to face or heart to heart connection so that all parties have a full opportunity to express their piece of the whole. Incompletion is never one sided.
If one party loses and is in grief, neither person is at peace.
Do your part when you part.
When we complete a relationship, job, living situation with honor for all, we are free to choose again without being haunted by the past or unconsciously repeating the same patterns.
To move on, to create anew, to be fully inspired requires honorable closure.  Begin now.
Saying good-bye can be done with love, respect and profound gratitude and inner peace.

Celebrate!

What is there to celebrate you may say?
Christmas stresses done.
2009 almost complete.
A roof over your head.
Time to yourself.
Graceful aging
Good food to eat?
Warm clothes to wear.
Someone to love.
The sun rises each morning.
Safety in your home.
Multiple ways to communicate.
Freedom to read and learn.
Laws to protect women and children.
Health care available for your family.
Music all around you.
Beauty in nature.

Celebration is the fastest way to come alive with enthusiasm and creativity.
Celebration is a right and a privilege for those who seek to share happiness.
Celebration is a key to living with health, purpose and fulfillment.
Celebration costs nothing and grants us everything meaningful.

As we complete 2009, let us celebrate what we have earned and learned.
Let us celebrate the challenges, growing pains and healing needs.
Let us celebrate our mistakes and regrets and calls to forgive and live.
Let us celebrate our profound gratitude and appreciation for the Good.

When we can fully celebrate life, we have more life.
When we are grateful for what we are learning, we learn more.
When we can appreciate the challenges and their blessings, we feel more blessed.
When we can look for the Goodness and Beauty, we see more Goodness and Beauty.

So why not love more?
Why not extend more peace?
Why not be truly happy?
Why not receive the abundant blessings in life?
Why not?

Celebrate.
Life is Good.
Loving you, Betty Lue

Written by Robert many many years ago...as a sequel to his own version of a Night Before Christmas
The Week After Christmas

T’was the week after Christmas and all through the land
Things were all settled, it was all pretty bland.
The gifts put away, the sales all complete
Settled down by the tube in my favorite seat.
I had my awareness written down in my book
Had my insights, ideas and whatever it took.
The spiritual lessons had been easy to share
They were all filed away (I’m not really sure where).
When deep down inside me there arose such a clatter
It was really unfair. Now what was the matter?
Away from my chair I flew like a flash
I looked in the mirror and then came the crash.

My life was unsettled with nothing the same
And the worst of it all—there was no one to blame.
When what to my wondering eye should appear
But a glowing white light, from behind my left ear.
With a little old angel so lively and quick
I’d seen him before. I was going to be sick.

More rapid than eagles his pronouncements they came
And he whistled and shouted and called me some names.
“More action and faith and tolerance and trust
Now listen within and be responsible, you must.
To topple complacency and breach the fear wall
Now dash away, smash away, drop away all.”

As leaves caught up in a hurricane fly
All of my thoughts were thrown up to the sky.
And as they were jumbled and tumbled and swirled
I knew when they landed, it would be a new world.
And then in a twinkling, I felt it all start
The seeds of awareness awakening my heart.

As I came to my senses (picked myself off the floor)
I saw in my mind’s eye, a picture of more.
A world bathed in light, from the south to the north
With every one on it aware of his worth.
No one was waiting for others to do,
Or to fix or to heal or to make it all new.
Their eyes how they twinkled, their dimples how merry
When they each played their part, the world was easy to carry.
The smile on each mouth was drawn up like a bow
Shining laughter and love wherever they’d go.
The aura of kindness bespoke inner peace
Letting each individual experience release.
Oh the bright shiny faces, wherever you’d look
It seemed—to be willing was all that it took.
To start with ourselves, from deep down inside
To give our true gifts, not to withhold or hide.
With no blame, shame or guilt for our seeming mistakes,
A little forgiveness is all that it takes.
To clean up our world from inside to out

It was simple and happy and I wanted to shout.
Once I see the Christ presence in each person’s face
We all become one, with no distance or space.
I recalled in that moment just what my gift was
To love all of my brothers, with no “why” or “because”.

And I’m here to exclaim as I set myself free
I remember the truth—It all starts with me.

May You have a joyous and Peaceful Christmas Day!

What do you remember about today?
What do you believe Christmas really is?
How do you celebrate these holy days?
What will you remember about this holiday?

We give everything we see all the meaning it has for us!”
(from A Course in Miracles)
Our memories are but the residue of what we kept as true.
We can erase the memories we no longer value.
We can choose again for new memories that bring peace and joy.

Each year I make new memories.
Each year I create a more meaning…(and also less!)
Less commercialization and more love shared.
More joy and magic shared with little children.
And more caring and sharing with those who have less.
Also more appreciation for those who keep this holiday holy.
And more gratitude for all those who tell the Christmas story that teaches and touches humanity.

So what do I want Christmas to be?
(You see, we each get to choose the meaning for us!)

I choose to be reminded:
There is always a light in the darkness.
There is still hope where there is despair.
There is love even when we are afraid.
There is enough for everyone when we share.

The story of the Christ child reminds me that there is a light of love in every baby born.
The nativity scene reminds me that Greatness often has humble beginnings.
The darkness of those times teaches me that Beauty and Goodness cannot be held back.
The abundant sharing of this story of the Son of God as Messiah and savior demonstrates how much humanity seeks to remember its origin.

We are here to condemn no one to less than His Fullness.
We are here to remind one another there is no Limit to what Goodness can do.
We are here to realize our own Greatness and Beauty and Generosity and Love.
We are here to be reborn into our True Essence, Innocence with Wisdom and Love without Fear.

I am clear about the Light in You.
I can see your holiness is true when you rebuke what is untrue.
I know you are bringing forth Great Goodness and Mercy to those you encounter.
I feel blessed that we walk this earth together when every one of us is essential to our rebirth.

Let us reach out every day of the year and bring gladness and Good cheer.
Let us celebrate how richly blessed we are by sharing from the excesses we have accumulated.
Let us join with those who care and share and continue to do what is fair.
Let us thank the Creator of all that is Good and True, Healing and Holy.

I love you and know I am loved by You.
For as One, we are family, the Light, the Ones who have come to be Loving Reminders.

 Inspiring story!

**True Story of Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer**

A man named Bob May, depressed and brokenhearted, stared out his drafty apartment window into the chilling December night.  His 4-year-old daughter Barbara sat on his lap quietly sobbing.

Bobs wife, Evelyn, was dying of cancer.

Little Barbara couldn't understand why her mommy could never come home.
Barbara looked up into her dad's eyes and asked, "Why isn't Mommy just like everybody else's Mommy?"
Bob's jaw tightened and his eyes welled with tears.
Her question brought waves of grief, but also of anger.
It had been the story of Bob's life. Life always had to be different for Bob.

Small, when he was a kid, Bob was often bullied by other boys.
He was too little at the time to compete in sports.
He was often called names he'd rather not remember.
From childhood, Bob was different and never seemed to fit in. Bob did complete college, married his loving wife and was grateful to get his job as a copywriter at Montgomery Ward during the Great Depression.
Then he was blessed with his little  girl.
 But it was all short-lived.
Evelyn's bout with cancer stripped  them of all their savings and now Bob and his daughter were forced to live in a two-room apartment in he Chicago slums.
Evelyn died just days before Christmas in 1938.
Bob struggled to give hope to his child, for whom he couldn't even afford to buy a Christmas gift.
But if he couldn't buy a gift, he was determined a make one - a storybook!
Bob had created a character in his own mind and told the animal's story to little Barbara to give her comfort and hope.
Again and again Bob told the story, embellishing it more with each telling..

Who was the character?
What was the story all about?
The story Bob May created was his own autobiography in fable form.
The character he created was a misfit outcast like he was.
The name of the character?
A little reindeer named Rudolph, with a big shiny nose.

Bob finished the book just in time to give it to his little girl on Christmas Day.
But the story doesn't end there.

The general manager of Montgomery Ward caught wind of the little storybook and offered Bob May a nominal fee to purchase the rights to print the book.
Wards went on to print, Rudolph the  Red-Nosed Reindeer and distribute it to children visiting Santa Claus in their stores.
By 1946 Wards had printed and distributed more than six million copies of Rudolph.
That same year, a major publisher wanted to purchase the rights from Wards to print an updated version of the book.

In an unprecedented gesture of  kindness, the CEO of Wards returned all rights back to Bob May.
The book became a best seller.
Many toy and marketing deals followed and Bob May, now remarried with a growing family, became wealthy from the story he created to comfort his grieving daughter. But the story doesn't end there either.

Bob's brother-in-law, Johnny Marks, made a song adaptation to Rudolph.
Though the song was turned down by such popular vocalists as Bing Crosby and Dinah Shore, it was recorded by the singing cowboy, Gene Autry.
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" was released in 1949 and became a phenomenal success, selling more records than any other Christmas song, with the exception of "White Christmas."

The gift of love that Bob May created for his daughter so long ago kept on returning back to bless him again and again.
And Bob May  learned the lesson, just like his dear friend Rudolph, that being different isn't so bad.
In fact, being different can be a blessing.

Investment and Gifts

I am investing in You and Me and All as One.
I invest my time, money and energy wisely.
I invest in happiness, mental and emotional health and spiritual awareness.
I invest in creating beautiful sacred spaces where everyone remembers the Light within.

My entire life has been and continues to be a Gift to me from me to You.
Every act of giving fills my cup and my cup runneth over.
Every word I speak is dedicated to contribute Goodness in our world.
Every thought I write is my commitment to spread Good News and Positive Thought everywhere.

I believe that we each have a function to fill on this earth.
When you see yourself as needy, you seek help.
When you see yourself as lacking, you seek more.
When you see yourself as limited, you seek freedom.
When you see yourself as less than, you seek to be more than.
When you see yourself as comfortable, you seek only to maintain.
When you see yourself as able, willing and fulfilled, you seek to contribute.

I invest time and energy in these loving reminders every morning.
I invest time and money in creating centers and special events for inspiration and education.
I invest love and wisdom in clients and students.
I invest positive prayer and affirmation in increasing the goodness in life.
I invest time, energy and listening  in my primary partnerships.
I invest my whole life in serving the highest Good and the Will of God.

What I invest in increases.
What I invest in brings great joy and fulfillment.
What I invest in is my foundation and my Source.
What I invest is and out-picturing of Who I AM.

I use what is given to me wisely for the Good of All.
Robert and I do our own work, with home office and not employees or secretaries.
We produce and publish our own materials.  We do our own mailings and CDs.
We use money given to Reunion Ministries and to us personally to begin Centers spaces for healing, counseling and community education and inspiration, to invest in people and possibilities.
We use all our furniture and things by sharing them in service of whatever is needed for the Whole.
We recognize that we are channels for Good, for Abundance, for prospering happiness and health for all.
We understand that what comes to us must flow through us to those who will use it for the benefit of All.

This year our Unity and Reunion families adopted three single parent families for Christmas.
We provided gifts of needed clothing, toys for children and gift cards at their local grocery stores.
We had big boxes at both centers to collect clothing, toys and food which was distributed to homeless.
We are singing Christmas carols at four local nursing homes on Christmas afternoon with teddy bears.
Throughout the year, we offer counseling, coaching, classes and other services on a contribution basis or free for those who do not have.
We offer 12 step programs and talk on the phone with those who have need.
Our prayer and healing team goes to homes to offer errands, as well as comforting and healing prayer and energy work.
We continue to live our Unity mission: “To Be Love in the world.”

Life works when we share with one another the abundant gifts we are given.
Giving is simply flowing the Good we are given.

Invest in giving the Real Gifts in life, the ones that bring happiness and health, trust and freedom.

Life is for giving and You are the Gift.
It is in giving the gift of yourself that you realize the Gift You Are.

Loving you with all I have, all I know and all I AM.

Light, Light, More Light.

Solstice marks the increase of Light in an ‘en-darkened’ world.
Yes, autumn is the time of decreasing light.
And, on Winter solstice, the light begins to increase.

The winter is a time of attending to the inner hearth.
Be come aware of the Light within you.
Notice the beauty you see all around you, when you see yourself as Beautiful.
Notice the Goodness all around you, when you love the Goodness with You.

You are light of the world.
You are the light for your family.
You are the light for your workplace.
You are the light for your community.

If you have been focusing on the darkness, you will strengthen and increase the lack of Light in You.
If you have been giving attention to lack and limitation, you will grow lack and limitation.
If you have been perceiving the problems, struggle and drama in others, you will encourage it all in you.
If you have been seeing places to fix, heal, change and correct,  you will increase them ad infinitum.

Metaphysical Laws:
What you focus on, you increase.
What you resist, hate or avoid, you get more of.
What you perceive in others, you strengthen in yourself.

If this is the Way the physical world works, change your focus, resistance and perceptions.
Focus on the Good, the Beauty, the Love and the Blessings.
Resist nothing, but rather ignore what you want to decrease (extinguish).
Perceive only the best intentions, what is honorable, true and loveable in others to strength that in you.

The Light is in you now.
Forgive yourself and your will see the Light and be the Light.
Forgive your mistaken perceptions, resistant and misguided focus.
Undo what is blocking the Light and delight with you and your life.
Strengthen the light within, by being grateful and blessing what is Good in You.

Is it this simple?
Yes, you can simply change your focus and your experience will  change.
Yes, You can stop thinking, writing and speaking about those things you want to decrease.
Yes, you can speak and act and vision ways that the Goodness is growing all around you.
Yes, you can bring the Light of your smile and touch, your appreciation and blessing everywhere.

The Light in you and around you is natural when you stop judging, criticizing and finding fault.
Even in the dark, you can shine so brightly others will see your light and be reminded.
Your brightness will attract those who seek to shine brightly and learn to live in de Light.
Shine your Light by forgiving yourself and your world.

Blessings of Great Joy,

Betty Lue

The Best Gift of All!

My favorite Christmas story is “The Littlest Angel” which I read every year at this time, with a few tears.
So often in life, we forget about what really matters and the “reason for the season”.
What do you have to give the Christ child, the little babe lying in the manger?
What do you have to give to the little child within your heart, the One you were born to be?

Have you looked at yourself recently to discover the precious inner child?
Have you seen the beauty and goodness in your heart?
Have you given yourself the support, love and encouragement you really need?
Have you reclaimed your innocent naturally loving and trusting Self?

What if within your lies everything your seek, the Good and pure, perfect and True?
What if you are the infinite opportunity for leading the way to Good Will for All?
What if you came that your family and friends and those you encounter might know Love?
What if your life is the most precious and limitless gift of All?

Are you willing to take impeccable care of you, nourishing and nurturing your whole Self?
Are you willing to support and encourage yourself when you feel inadequate?
Are you willing to guide yourself through difficulties with patience and understanding?
Are you willing to love yourself even when you make mistakes or get confused?
Are you willing to appreciate the small achievements and acts of kindness you do?
Are you willing to be faithful, loyal and true to you?

You see, it is your light that you bring.
It is your song you are here to sing.
It is the love within you need to grow.
It is the wisdom of Goodness you came to know.

In everything, you are the One you seek.
In life it is our promise to our Holy Self we must keep.
In all relationships you are here to offer Peace.
In every act you must be the one to forgive.

With a smile, a word, a touch, you reach out and change your world.
One person, one day at a time.
With the gift of yourself you touch the hearts of humankind.
With the gentle smile of respectful kindness on your face, you teach your world a better way.

I am loving you by giving the Gift of Me to one and all.
And I celebrate You for giving the precious Gift of You to all you see.

I love You!
Betty Lue

What Is Needed?

We are on our way to the Lake House to complete the space for the dedication on Saturday afternoon.
I may not be able to send out Loving Reminders from there, so know I will be back in touch on Sunday AM.
Still working on another way to send what I want to you (without the hassle of being edited or blocked) where I have full control of what I send to you.
We think we have a way which will be in place by Jan. 1.

Do you need anything? You have food, shelter, ways to get books and education, places and people to go for wisdom and inspiration, the right to speak and dress and think as you like, clean water and air and a bed to sleep in at night.  “The richest and most privileged nation in the world”…And still we want more.

Are we so spoiled that we feel entitled to more or do we simply not recognize the blessing we have?
Are we identifying our worth with how much we have?
Are we addicted to having the best, the latest, the most?
Or is shopping one way of avoiding our need for self realization?

Maybe not this year, but sometime…..consider giving up the shopping for stuff.
Consider giving away what you have and do not use.
Consider doing acts of service and kindness for others.
Consider saying something loving and appreciative to everyone you encounter.
Consider writing notes of genuine appreciation to your loved ones and to yourself.
Consider being a blessing to someone in need, someone without food or shelter,
Consider loving someone with no family or friends.
Consider giving your change to the bell-ringers.
Consider adopting an animal from a shelter or sponsoring a an animal in a preserve.
Consider adopting a child in an impoverished family for the year.
Consider giving to your church or educational institution.
Consider getting friends together to pay for a someone’s tuition to college.
Consider cleaning up you community or your home or garage.
Consider giving all the clothes, food, and blankets and household goods to a shelter for the homeless.
Consider singing at a rest home this Christmas or adopting an elderly person who has no one.
Consider giving a note of appreciation or tip to those who serve you well.
Consider doing something special and especially meaningful for Christmas.

You see, Christmas, is a reminder to  be the giver.
This Holiday is about bringing the Gift of Love to everyone.
This season gives us everything we could want to be shared with everyone everywhere.
If you are reading this consider asking yourself, what are you called to give and to whom?

Begin with loving and appreciating yourself in the most meaningful way.
You are the gift….the gift of Life and Love, the Gift of laughter and delight, the gift of Joy and Peace.
The Gift is replenished in its givingness.
So plug up the holes of discontent, fear, criticism, guilt and blame and give to keep the Gift alive.

Loving you with the Best I know and have and Am, Betty Lue

What Will It Take?

What will it take for us to awake?
How can we know where we must go?
When will we get giving is living?
How will we know eternal life is the end of all strife?

Comfort lulls us to sleep.
Justification and defensiveness hide our fear.
Criticism and blame keep us in the same old game.
Remembering the past makes the pain last.

So what can we do to wake up brand new?
You and I are here to claim our place on this earth, the land of plenty.
We are always enough for whatever we create.
We always have enough to fill our own plate.

How can you tell what is yours, mine and ours?
When you look at life in nature, you see something very different than what humans do?
Most species only eat what they need.
They establish territory only to preserve their families.
They live by survival of the fittest.
They are free and guided by the winds of change in what is.
They live easily in the present.
They hold no grudges.
(Read the book “Ishmael” and the others that followed.
Ask me to send you Robert’s talk on “Serving Littleness” for more ideas.)

Ask yourself today the following questions to see if you are ready to wake up!
Do you believe you can be happy?
Are you willing to take responsibility for your own life?
Can you see that you are enough and have enough?
Would you be willing to enjoy a life of giving?
Can you see that living simply would eliminate much stress?
Are you open to undoing all the false and limiting beliefs about you?
Can you imagine yourself as important to humanity and making a difference daily?
Are you open-minded enough to accept others for the unique life journey they have chosen?
Can you see that you life has been a series of experiences and relationships you needed to learn?
Are you available for listening within, observing what is around you and trusting what you know?
Can you willing to let go of everything that you use to make you hurt and unhappy?
Is now the time for you to wake up and accept your life is what you make it?
Can you take full responsibility for your own choices, forgive mistakes and choose again?

Remember this song…… One of my theme songs for my life!

When the Red Red Robin comes Bob Bob Bobbing along!
They’ll be no more sobbing when he starts throbbins his song, sweet song.
I’m just a kid again doing what I did again, singing this song.
When the Red red Robin comes bob bob bobbing along.

Wake up, Wake up, you sleepy head!
Get up, get up, get up, get out of bed!
Cheer up, cheer up, cheer up the sun is red.
Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy!

When I’m feeling blue, then I’m walking through fields of flowers.
Tears may glisten, but still I listen for hours and hours.
I’m just a kid again, doing what I did again.
Singing this song,

It is time for the light to come.
Forgive yourself…all your “mistakes”.
Forgive the world….all their “mistakes”.
Forgive everyone and everything and you will wake up and see the Light!

You will see the Light, when you have forgiven the darkness.
(Forgiveness is an eraser filled with Love!)

Loving you,

Betty Lue

What is Good for You?

How do you choose what is best?
How do you decide what to do?
How do you spend your time, energy and money?
Are you choosing based on a whim, current feelings or on a conscious choice to the highest Good?

Do you know which books to read?
Do you consider what TV or movies to watch?
Are you conscious in choosing what to buy and what to eat?
Do you know how to decide what will work best for you?

When we are stuck in indecision and conflict, we lose energy.
When we do not know what to do. we waste energy in trying to decide.
When we second guess ourselves and doubt the choices we make, we allow fear to win.
When we choose and then question, it is like stepping on the gas and the brakes simultaneously.

The best way to decide is to consider your self.
Visualize each choice and notice the energy.
The best decision is the one which increases energy and strengthens us.
The choice which weakens or depletes our energy may get us stuck in trying to fix the leak.
(Fixing the leak + convincing ourselves we are RIGHT.)

When you are willing, listen within.
Listen to your heart.
Listen to your higher Self.
Listen to the Voice within that will guide you only with Love.

When you are willing to spend time each day listening for guidance, you will begin to hear.
As you follow what you are given, you will increase your ability to hear and strengthen your willingness.
When you are living a life following the highest Good for all, you will notice that life works.
When you are living a fearful life guided by defensiveness and caution, you will notice life has pitfalls.

Questions to be asked and answered from within:
Where am I to go today?
What am I to do?
Whom shall I meet and what will I say?

There is a place in you, when your defensive “Yama yama” mind is still that you will find simple peaceful answers filled with love, respect and gratitude.  IN this place of stillness All Good is revealed and your true and natural Loving Self awaits your willingness to listen and follow.
The Goodness and God in you call for your conscious happy willingness to lead you Home to Greater Peace and Love than you have ever know.

Loving you,

Betty Lue

What Are You Waiting For?

Do you live life like a victim?
Are you at the effect of the external world?
Do you seek others' approval and love?
Are you giving to get something in return?

Many have been taught that the world owes them something.
Others have been taught that an External God provides for them.
Some have been taught that they should get what they want from parents, employers, friends and others.
And others believe that they simply deserve the life they have….Good or bad karma.

What if this is our time to step up and take ownership for the life we have.
What if now we are being called to use our own creative potential.
What if we are the ones to stop all blame and take full responsibility.
What if the time is now to receive all past blessings and learning and create a new future.

We are here to flow the energy, the living waters of Love, from the infinite wellspring within.

No excuses.
No waiting.
No comparison.
Let nothing stop you from extending Love.

You need not love specific or special people or situations or stuff.
Simply Love.
Loving is your natural state.
When you forget, stop or withhold your Love, you are denying your Whole and Holy Self.

Love is your purpose here.
We are using this physical life and all our relationships to undo everything that is not Love.
Loving is our natural way of being, our life force flowing.
Loving is fun, safe and easy and is the ground of Your Being.

When you are loving, you are surrounding yourself with an orb of Loving consciousness.
When you are loving, you are teaching the world to be loving as well.
When you are loving, you are filling all the places where there is lack of Love.
When you are loving, you are improving your health, mentally, physically and spiritually.

Let go of getting a return on your investment from outside yourself.
Undo the belief that when you love more, you will get more love.
Release the habit of giving no more than you get from others.
Forgive yourself for being a conditional lover, loving based on the worth of the other.

Take time to love yourself and care for yourself.
Step away when you are hurting, scared or depressed and address your own consciousness first.
Clear up the misunderstandings and implicit agreements with others, choosing to love simply because.
Be honest with yourself, acknowledging “I am Love ItSelf and I simply Love all the time.”

REMEMBER LOVE IS HEALING, NURTURING AND NOURISHING.
REMEMBER JOY IS CREATIVITY, EXPANSIVE AND UNLIMITED.
PEACE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF GOODNESS IN ALL THAT IS.

Loving you because I AM Love,

Betty Lue

Joy to the World

Friday was spent driving for 8 hrs, plus 8 hrs with grandchildren in Petaluma and 2 hours at our son’s Christmas Oratorio at the Ananda Center in Palo Alto.
Then we drove up to the Reunion Lake House where we put on some finishing touches to our new spiritual  retreat center…thus no reminders emailed Saturday AM.
But here I am writing my talk for this Sunday morning and sharing with you, Dear Ones. Betty Lue

You are what the world is waiting for!

Hope expects Goodness.
Peace promises Goodness
Joy creates Goodness.
Love nurtures Goodness.

For most of our lives we experiment with how the world works and our part in it.
Many let the world tell us what we are to be, our purpose here.
For some, we intend to give the world what we want to be.
And a few simply know we must give what the world needs.

What the world needs now is Hope…the Hope for better times to come.
What the world needs now is Peace…the Peace of Goodness and Mercy.
What the world needs now is Joy…the natural Joy of appreciation for the little things in life.
What the world needs now is Love…sweet Love that brings us together in understanding and Good Will.

Where are you in this equation?
What part are you playing?
How do you bring what you want to see?
What is the cost of leaving your place empty?

You are the bringer of Hope, the piece of God’s Peace, the Light of God’s Joy and the Love  of Goodness that is shared with all creation.
Your part awaits your return, your birth, your willingness to be that which you are created to be.
You are called to give what you see is needed in every relationship and situation.
You are integral to the return to wholeness, the realization of Goodness and Love on Earth.

I have tried many ways to live and love and give.
The tried and true wisdom is that Goodness begins within me.
My holy work and healing work is to expect the Good, to promise the Good, to create Good everywhere and to nurture the Good at all times.
When I stray or forget, when I worry or doubt, when I fret and complain, I leave my part empty.
It is through forgiveness here and now that I clear my mind, my body, my being of all lack of Good.

Joy is the natural state of those who trust.
Joy is natural to those who forgive.
Joy is natural to those who expect miracles of Love.
Joy is natural to children who remember God’s Goodness.

Let this season remind you to play your part.

Be the Hope of a new beginning, a new consciousness and a new world.
Promise the Peace that passes understanding by forgiving all things.
Give the Light of Joy that creates Peace on Earth and Goodwill to All.
Nurture the Love in Yourself to be the Loving Reminders wherever you go whatever you do.

God in Me is Loving You!

Problems: What To Do?

Some stay to long,
Some leave to soon.
Some ignore them.
Some explore them.

We get to choose.
If you find yourself losing energy, you have stayed too long.
If you find you are curious, continue to learn more.
If you find you have more important things to do, move on.
If your find you are avoiding them because you don’t have the confront, ask for help.

Some problems in life are irritants.
Some problems are real trouble for the soul.
Some problems are just there to challenge and strengthen us.
Some problems reflect indecision and inner conflict and confusion.

All problems invite us to TRUST.
Trust ourselves.
Trust our Source.
Trust ”This too shall pass.”
Trust “All things work together for Good.”

Problems are obstacles that cloud our vision.
Problems are conflicts between ego and Spirit.
Problems are a result of living in a physical world of duality, chaos and insanity.
Problems are a result of making a world of defenses against the Truth.

We each have a pattern or habit of dealing with problems.
Some are fixers.
Some are blamers.
Some are avoiders.
Some are claimers.

I tend to be curious, an adventurer and enjoy being the detective.
I know it is all an “inside job” so I look for the clues within.
My computer is working slow……I am tired.
The pipes froze and we had no water on Wednesday….I look for new ways to clean up and open the flow.
I have a problem within my family so I can better counsel and coach others with the same problem.
Someone doesn’t know what to do and they ask me, so I can respond, “Listen within.”

Life is a constant learning laboratory.
When we take each experiment too seriously and personally, we can stay for a lifetime on one problem.  To finish the exam efficiently, if  we don’t know the answer, move on and answer all the questions you know.  Often you will find or remember the answers you didn’t know on the second time through.

Enjoy the process.
Learn from everything.
Stay respectful of yourself.
Always do your best.

Loving you in all I say and do,
Betty Lue

Letting Go is Loving

The undoing of the emails has resulted in a deep gratitude for the ability to channel the Good News.
The request for your help has elicited a profound awareness of how many of you value them.
The willingness you have to respond to my request has touched my heart and fills me with joy.
The support of Robert and Fred, Comcast business support, has been extraordinary.

I feel blessed to be here now able and willing to share the best I know and the Good I have.
The “problem” may not yet be “fixed”, but the experience has been rich and full of learning.
The channel for Good is always freer after the clog is removed, erased and forgiven.
Fear constricts and trust opens.

Sometimes we win the greatest success after experiencing the deepest failure.
Often we win by letting ourselves lose.
Sometimes we find what we have always been seeking when we stop looking.
Life is not measured by how much we have, but more by what we give.

Yes, it is time for all of us to seek the blessing in what is.
Look at situations differently than you have and see what is really under the apparent problem.

“In This is Good.
 In This is God.
In This is a Gift for me.
I claim the Blessing that is mine now.”

Life is filled with miracles of Love for those willing to see.
In order to see the Gifts and miracles, we must stop looking for the curses, errors and failures.
Become a love-finder in all your relationships.
Become a miracle seeker and see miracles in everything.

During these holy days, take time each day to fully appreciate yourself and all you give.
When you are filled with the blessings of your life, give your full appreciation to those around you.
Life is rich with abundance and prosperity for those who are grateful.
Life is full of love and happiness for those who share their love freely with others.
Life is a creative canvas on which to paint our appreciation for al that is when we live in love.

Extend peace and know the Peace of God.
All is well.
Loving you with All We are together,
Betty Lue

Re-Connection with YOU!

Connection or Reunion is our healing work.
To open our hearts and minds to extending peace to everyone is the call.
To honor  each one’s journey and trust we are all living the best we know.
To trust that there is a purpose for everything which we will see when we stop judging.

Judgment is a sign of fear.  Fear is the call for Love.
Fear comes from our believing we are victims or believing we are powerless.
When we know that Goodness and God is on our side, we can trust again.
Only Love and Goodness prevail.

Transmission Problems Solved?
For almost eleven years, I have been writing and sending out these Loving Reminders to those who requested them.
There are 12 lists with nearly 100 people on each list.
It is my joy and part of my spiritual practice to sit at my computer and listen within for the voice of Spirit.

The last time many people received my daily Loving Reminders was on November 23.
I had made no changes in my practice of sending and yet, they stopped being received.
There was no indication that this had happened and so I was unaware until this past Tuesday, Dec. 1.
We are still researching the problem and looking for alternative ways of sending this material to the hundreds of folks who rely on these messages.

It looks like it may have to do with the signature or my picture or someone has been “fishing” using my email address??
Sometimes individuals have a spam block on their personal computer.
Sometimes Comcast was refusing to send out bulk mail, however we now have a business acct which allows lists of less than 100.
Sometimes  we didn’t know, but Comcast would correct the problem.
Hopefully we have found a fun, safe and easy solution and I can continue as usual.

What is Love?

Happy Holidays!

Preparing for the Holy Days (holiday) is done best with remembering to Love.
Yet, it seems that those who are needy are still looking for how to “get” the Love they need.
The coming Holidays and the full moon on Wednesday may be intensifying your experience.
You may have set up expectations for how you want to be treated, talked to, supported and gifted.

Expectations come from fantasy, immaturity and neediness.
We think they help us set goals, achieve agreement and make the world the way we want it.
Maybe the world is teaching us to be the way that is best for us.
Maybe our relationships are reflecting the errors of our minds, our beliefs, our history.

Some have been taught that the world revolves around them, that their needs come first.
Some have been taught that they don’t matter at all, that they must serve other’s needs.
Some have been taught to take care of your own needs and never depend on another to be there.
Some have been taught to trust God, Higher Power, and inner Love and Light than never forsakes us.

Love is Trust and Love is Freedom.
Each one of us must learn to let go and allow each individual to have their own healing process.
Yes, in our trust for one another, we can support, encourage and be a consistent loving Presence.
But, in the process we each must treat ourselves with love, respect and trust our inner healing.
Looking for the perfect Love from another is risky because that individual has their own work.

What would it take to step aside from judgment, complaints and criticism and simply do the work?
Like school, we cannot let another to do our work for us and learn what we are here to learn.
We cannot cheat by taking on another’s work because we want to help them pass.
We cannot have win-win experiences by comparing, competing and wanting to be better than.
We cannot experience true success without first healing ourselves, our thoughts, feelings and history.

Whether we are four or one hundred and four, rich or poor, well read or ignorant, we must do the work.
It matters not our age, nationality, religion, family history, physical condition, we each can find peace.
Inner peace is not dependent on others or on outer conditions.
Inner peace and healing are found in the Love (trust and freedom), we have within us.

In the realm of Divine Love, inspired Love, there is no conditionality, no comparison and no end.
In relationships, we simply find a place to practice giving love with no condition, comparison or end.
In our lifetimes, we are learning how to “earn our wings”, by expending the Love of God to all.
In our experiences, we are given opportunities to forgive all fear and remember Only Love is Real.

Remember, we are gifts for one another.
Life is for giving.
You are the Gift.
It is in giving the gift of Love you are that you truly discover the gift of Your Self.

I am Love You with All I know, All I have and All I give.
The Blessings Already Are.
You are a blessing to me and to your world.

Issues Presented without Offense

(You can apply this to all issues and upsets!)
“Is it possible to present your issues or upsets with someone without offending them?
Is there a way to discuss what is bothering you without the other person becoming defensive or hurt?
Is there a way to get the other person to understand and agree with meeting your needs?”
A reader.

Often issues are presented in a way that attacks the other, rather than presents how the upset individual needs to learn and grow within themselves.
Remember, our issues come from parts of ourselves that need healing, forgiveness and/or to be seen and responded to differently.

“I have an issue about.......”
“What I need to do to handle this issue better is.....”
“What you can do to help me with this issue is........”
All our upsets and issues are really about past similar experiences with unresolved feeling.
Our relationships offer us a replay of situations we have experienced before.

Without peace there can be no understanding.
When either or both parties are upset, there is distortion of facts, emotional reactivity, words and actions taken which are immature and destructive.

Stop all arguments by simply being silent, not defensive or argumentative. Be the one who either listens for the deeper need or simply excuse yourself and step away.

Take responsibility for your feelings, issues and reactions.
Rather than take out our emotions on the persons involved, it is far more effective and healing to step away and do our own inner work to find peaceful resolution.

Always set up circumstances where both people win and find inner peace.
If you need help to resolve your feelings, ask the most willing person at a time when your request can be received with respect and love.

My Example:
I have an issue with parents, step parents, teachers, childcare folks, etc who take out their emotional issues on children without taking into consideration the child’s needs, their history or their currents problems.
I can talk to every parent I see in the grocery store, in families I counsel or anywhere it comes up.
I can have the intention of being truly helpful, but giving the clear message I disagree with their method and think they should find a better way or communicating with and treating children.
I can imagine I am defending and protecting children, but be seen as interfering and antagonize the adults.
So what am I suggesting?
I have an issue about how adults treat children.
What I need to do to handle this issue better is find out why adults to what they do and forgive all past experiences with adults who were angry, abusive or hurtful.
What you can do to help me is remind me you are always loving the best way you know in the moment.

Hope this helps…..

PS (Postscript)  Yes, Definitely stop all behaviors of adults and children where someone is being harmed.  Yes, take care of the children in your life with patience, encouragement, positive direction and Love.
Yes, forgive the past, yours, mine and ours for all the ways humanity has not loved one another.
Yes, do what you are called to do from a loving and healing place within.

Loving you.

Coping with Unfamiliar Behavior

After writing this loving reminder I changed the title from "Handling Immature Behavior".

Some families yell and scream.
Some families threaten and demand.
Some families simply walk away.
Some families know nothing of this.

Can you imagine what it would be like to experience something totally different?
Would you know how to respond if you lived in a totally different culture?
Could you adapt or keep your center or stay at peace with a different way?
We become accustomed to our original upbringing and believe it is THE way?

Children from infancy hear a certain tone of voice.
They learn to respond and mimic what they hear and see and feel.
Children who live in several homes must find a way to adapt to each uniquely.
Adults too must learn to adapt to work cultures, marriage partners and every new situation.

In my family of origin, there was no yelling, screaming, threatening or swearing.
How I grew up was with respect for myself and all others, with not overt anger and no fear.
The way I was parented encourage full expression with respect for each persons’ feelings.
I understood that there was no hierarchy of  greater or lesser, all were equally important.

As a practicing therapist, it took me many years to come to know this was unusual.
As a therapist, I would need to adapt to the style of expression of each individual.
As a counselor and coach, I needed to become listener first, then educator to help find a better way.
However, I learned when people don’t know or want a better way, it is best to be silent.

To be respectful of others familiar adaptive behaviors, customs and cultures, is to honor their ways.
To be understanding of others, I must first come to peace and release all judgments and fears.
To be accepting of others is to truly love them as they are and respect their right to learn as they do.
If love is trust and freedom, I must love by trusting their process and allowing others to find their way.

How I learn is by being flexible and open-minded as I listen both outside to the words and tone and inside to the underlying feelings.  Usually the surface issues reflect just a symptom of the underlying unhealed stuff.  The pain wakes us up to unhealed experiences and feelings from our past (usually early childhood).
So I must listen deeply in order to respond in a neutral way that is non-threatening and opens the door to deeper healing.

Life is a healing, growthful and creative experience at its best.
Life can be a hurtful, destructive and limiting experience at its worst.
Let us learn to facilitate our own healing and growth to create safe places for others to heal and grow.
Let each one of us commit to give our best to ourselves and then offer others a safe place to be.

Loving you, loving me, loving you,
Betty Lue

LOVE IS FREEDOM
The freedom for you and I to be who we are.
The freedom to live life as we do.
The freedom to make mistakes and learn from them.
The freedom to express our own truth as we see it.

LOVE IS TRUST
The trust that there is a constant flow of love,
no matter what.
The trust that, in spite of life’s problems,
we believe in and support each other’s right
to live as we choose.
The trust that in adversity,
there is healing and learning and gifts of love.
The trust that under conflict and emotional expression,
there is love

I love you and I trust you.
I free you to be all you are.

Are You Prepared?

Have you prepared yourself for a new day of possibility?
Are you ready for all calls for service?
Are you awake to give your very best?
Can you be the one who is helpful, patient and listening?

Yes, the Holidays (Holy Days) are coming.
And the end of 2009 and another New Year is here.
But more importantly, we are awaiting a change, a renewal, a new beginning.
This season is a reminder to prepare the way for a light in the darkness.

Usually we are taught that the Light is a Special One, the singular Light of Christ.
In traditional Christianity, the Second Coming refers to the same Christ appearing again.
However, what if the teachings were to prepare the way for us?
What if we have missed the message and stepped away from our calling?

Are you ready to step up and be the One?
Are you willing to forgive the past and everyone?
Can you bring the light into any darkness that comes?
Are you prepared to bring the Peace of God and Good?

Have you considered your calling where you are right now?
Have you been willing to maintain your own spiritual practice?
Do you take time to be inspired and grateful everyday?
Have you found a fun, safe, easy and loving way to live and love and give?

Look at your own daily life.
Do you speak with respect to everyone?
Do you remember to treat all beings with dignity and kindness?
Do you behave in ways that are patient, gentle and open-minded?

Have you given consideration for all beliefs?
Do you honor all ages, economic and educational backgrounds?
Are you giving your best wherever you go, at home and work?
Do you take impeccable care of your Spirit, your body and your mind?

Are you easily forgiving of any mistakes you make?
Do you naturally forgive yourself and others of forgetfulness?
Can you have compassion for the worldly stresses that people experience?
Are you willing to take time to bring healing peace and Good will?

Are you prepared to be the One?
Are you open to give Love here and now?
Are you ready to give generously your Joy?
Are you grateful for the Piece of Good You Are?

I Hope we all are remembering to Prepare the Way for Love and Light today!

Hope and Pray

Is it possible that when we hope we are praying?
Is it true that when we hope we hold a vision?
Could it be that hope is a signal from our higher self?
Are we willing to allow ourselves to hope and pray?

I hope and pray that all my brethren will awaken to Love.
I hope and pray that we forgive all sins, errors and mistakes.
I hope and pray that each child has the nourishment and nurturance they need.
I hope and pray that the world will live together in peace and harmony.

What I hope for is a dream, a vision, a possibility of what can be.
What I hope for is what I hold in my heart as the Truth of God.
What I hope for is what I remember from before time began.
What I hope for is the song of angels and the prayer of saints.

And to Whom do I pray?
Is it not mine to do these things for which I long?
Is it not mine to live the life I hold in my heart?
Is it not mine to be the One who sing and prays these things?

If I cannot be that which I seek, how can I teach anyone else?
If I cannot forgive all sins and awaken to love, how can I expect another?
If I cannot feed the children within my reach with good food and perfect Love, how can I ask another?
If I cannot sing of harmony and peace with every prayer in my heart, how can I ask You?

And so it is, today I begin again.
I forgive my past and that of all my brothers and sisters.
I release all doubt and fear and choose to live in Love.
I express gratitude that we all are free to choose again.

I answer my own prayer by consciously erasing that which is not good for all.
I appreciate each one I see who is joining the circle of inspired creation.
I give thanks that there is no moment except now in which I can fully be.
I honor and respect those who choose to live and give with dignity.

My life is a song of forgiveness and a prayer of hope.
My words are in invitation to awaken all to Love.
My work is to hold the vision of renewal of spirit in everyone.
My journey is one of being a sacred space in which all will remember Love and return to Holiness.

I am loving you and me and all as One.
Let us awaken ourselves and our choices to be happy and free, Being the All we are meant to be.
Now is the time and we are the Ones.
So let us say YES to our hopes and our dreams, allowing the Vision of Goodness shine through.

I am Loving You,
Betty Lue

Happy Thanksgiving!

So very much to be grateful for!

We sleep in a warm bed every night.
The sun is shining.
I am sharing my love and gratitude.
There is food in the cupboards.
We have electricity, heat and water.
I can listen to any music I want today.
I can live in silence or have conversation.
I am free to love everyone on the planet.
I know how to practice forgiveness.
I am happy with who I am.
I can communicate via phone, mail service, email, in person or via telepathy.
I know I am loving and kind, generous and joyful.
I can laugh and hug, sing and pray.
Today is a very good day.

Can you count your blessings today?
Whether few or many, there are blessings to be grateful for.
Some say the attitude of gratitude heals all pain and sorrow.
Some feel that appreciation increases the good we have.
Some acclaim that it is our thankfulness that is our gift to God.

Whatever you believe, I know…….
When you are grateful, there is no room for complaining.
When you are grateful, you will feel loved and loving.
When you are grateful, life is worth living.
When you are grateful, you can rest peacefully at night.

Another good day to give thanks!

Thanking you,

Betty Lue

Soon we will have a spiritual retreat Center, Reunion Lake House, to share with you in Lake County, CA

Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level.
We need to literally 'count our blessings,' give thanks for them, allow ourselves to enjoy them, and relish the experience of prosperity we already have."   Shakti Gawain,  Author of Creative Visualization

"You are the wings on our feet, the song in our hearts and the breath of Spirit in the work we do for Love.
Know always that we are in this together.
Alone we can do nothing.
Together In Love, there is nothing we cannot do.
I bless your willingness to join us in this joyful service.”

Loving you,
Betty Lue

Everyone Is Your Brother

Today is my brother’s birthday and the birthday of a dear friend.
Both are special spirit-filled and spirit-guided people.
Both have contributed much inspiration to my life.
Both have influenced the direction of my living, loving and giving.

And there may be others among you who read these loving reminders who have a birthday today.
You are my brother, my sister, my child, my friend, my inspiration and you too inspire my life.
You contribute and add to my life, simply in living your lives, consciously with love.
For all of you, I celebrate and sing and bless and love and give to you and all my very best.

Life is a sacred journey.
We cross paths and connect with many in families and work, in airports and churches, everywhere.
We indirectly meet others along the way on the phone, in correspondence, in business and on the road.
And the ripples of our connection go on from person to person around the globe, beyond time and space.

How can it be that anyone be denied by me?
How can I forsake anyone who comes my way?
How could I not reach out in welcome and love?
How could I not give my very best to every One?

If everyone is guest in my home and in my heart, I treat everyone with dignity and respect.
If everyone is guest in my workplace, I give everyone the satisfaction of being a contributor.
If everyone is my family, I seek to serve everyone as the honored recipient of my best.
If everyone is my brother, my sister, my mother and my friend, how can I not serve with love?

Yes, I too have bad days, when I do not feel like giving, because I must give to myself.
Yes, I may forget to fill my own cup, before I fill yours and the giving is empty.
Yes, I may play a part that is not received and give away into a bottomless well.
Yes, I may speak words which ring not full of meaning because I have lost my way.

But in every act of giving love, I fill my cup as well.
In every expression of loving kindness I am filled with God’s grace.
Each time I serve with true intention, I waste nothing because in the giving all are fed.
As I speak the words, I am affirming that all be reminded including me.

You see, everyone is my brother……because each one is myself.
Everyone is my mother….because I too need to remember to be mother, sister, brother and friend.
Everyone is my savior, one who awakens in my soul the will to love and serve and remember Goodness.
You are a gift to me and I receive the gift you are.

“There is only one of us.
In your eyes it’s me I see.
There is only one of us.
You are my reflection.”
A Beautiful song whose writer I do not know.

Happy Birthday.
I am so glad you and I were born and have come to this place and time to know one another.
I am loving you with every loving thing I do.
Every time I think or speak or act with love, know I am loving YOU!

Those Who Have

To those who have, much is expected.
To those who give, much will be received.

And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.  II Corinthians 9:8

Give and it will be given to you.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap.

Luke 6:38

Just had to share with you this morning that giving is the blessing in life.
Giving provides blessings for you life.
Giving, asking nothing in return.
Giving, expecting nothing, but having faith that everything Good will be manifest.

The call to give is now and everyday in every way.
When you don’t have the energy to give, take time to fill yourself up with Spirit, the breath of life.
Fill yourself up with gratitude.
Plug the leaks with forgiveness.
Enjoy the small precious moments of today.
Love yourself and your whole life well.
When you can see the perfection and holiness in it all, you are fulfilled.
From the fullness…..Give and open the flow.

Goodness is our natural state.
Life is for giving. You are the Gift.

Loving you,

Betty Lue

It is all good.
The blessings Already Are!
